I got 70 att yesterday...so i went pking:

With the expected declaration of the Primary candidacy very soon (in fact, the reticence to annonce the racer competitors is a stark difference from the last elections. It seams they have learnt from Harold "I have a scream" Dean, and also with the presidential "war chest" reaching over $210million in the last Election campaign, should it be the right of American companies to donate millions of dollars to aid the presidentail candidates, or should the elections be state funded, or donations and air time limited? Do you think that American Presidential elections should have limits on the funding?

I did stray off the path and pk a bit today...and, yes, I own. I alos found out that my low pray and high attack owns other rune pures. I didnt get any rune kills, as rune affords better oportunity for running, but did pk a tagger/pjer. I was fighting a rune pure my lvl, and he blitzed my opponent whilst we were fighting. I ran over and two speced him for the ko.

Thanks for the support! I've been working on fubai's acoutriments, firstly on defenders, then on gloves. The iron defender felt like it would never drop, similarly the black almost made me kill myself - having got 4 attack lvls training there, using 2k tokens, I finaly got it: I have spent today getting the gloves i need. I am aiming for addy, and will have to do a few more quests. Here is what I intend to pk in, and a curent stats picture: But with addy gloves (I only have black right now). When i get the gloves I want, I will train att in pest control, but spend the points on str until i get 70 att. Then, and only then, will i return to the wilderness. EDIT:

once i get a rune defender I will go to pest control and train attack in the games, whilst spending the points on str. This should get me a few str lvls and the ability to use a whip. The question of prayer is still to be concidered. I'm hovering between 36/42 and 52

I got these before i got def: And my curennt stats- To get there i - did d slayer, got the reward from monkey madness, did holy grail quest. This means all the big def xp quests are out of teh way, allowing me to get barrows gloves (in the long run)

I am going rune pure. I have been considering it for a while. And I am just going to have to make the switch. I iwll be doing d slayer today

I'm now seriously considering going rune pure...at least when you do you pk more than 50k per kill. Its costing me more to pk than i make from it. -.-

A few more pks i collected. This one was reasonably ammusing - he attacked me when i was in level 1...so i ran out, potted up, came back and stabed him twice with normal att on dd(s)...then banged in 24,20 and 20,18 for the ko: He's a telletubie too :( This pk was quite funy...another desperate attempt to ko me managed to end up koing him...off my recoil again. To be honest...it was a bit futile, as he hit 20,18 with spec and i still had 20hp left...but hit himslef nicley dead. Still not died recently. Well...at least not since the pks in teh above post. I put this down to what i call "canny pking". Some people say it's sad. Well thats thier opinion. But, for me, the secret to winning at pking is to always stat check someone. I will happily fight some one 1-2 str lvls higher than me, but no more than that. SImilarly I refuse to fight rangers with 90+ ranged. Infact i susaly avoid ranger pures full stop. They simply arent worth it unless they happen to be carrying 100+ rune arrows. Mage pures are pretty much a joke for me. If they farshoot me, I either run away and come back with blitz...or i wait for the tangle to fail and spec them.

From an imoral standpoint I say that on the one hand it seems that it costs quite a lot, prima facie, to house prisoners. On the other hand, the appeal process costs about as much, and can last as long as a normal custodial sentance. I don't really have a moral view on it. I think that an eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth is not a justifiable stand point. If some one you love has been murdered, then you would not only want to revist that upon the murderer, but to compound it with some other punishment - for instance tourture. This doesn't sound very nice, and we are moving outside the normal moral parameters of human rights. On the other hand, there are problems with the system - not least of which is that evdidence that was accepted 10 years ago may not be accepted today, so some people that would be dead become aquitted. More over, the motives for comting a crime and the reasons bringing about the comital of such a crime are incredibly problematic to [wagon] - we would clinicaly execute someone because, in a fit of rage or whislt terminaly depressed they stabbed someone to death. This seems to be wholey different from teh crime that was commited, and, moreover, only listens to the stand point of the victim, and not the accused. What I am trying to say is that an eye for an eye punsihment system either is too strong or doesnt go far enough. You view point uslay depends on wether you have been a victim or not.

few more pks I got whilst messing around. So far I have lost 1 zammy staff, 100 bloods + nats, 1 dd(s) and 1 d scimmy scince i started this blog. As you can see...my death to kill ratio seems pretty good... Same guy. Asked to fight me both time. First KO was 23,24 spec. Last one was 21,13, 22 (6 from poison). This guy managed to KO himself on my ring of recoil. I hit 23 with scimy + 6 from poison. He speced me at the same time, hitting himself for a double 2. Koed. :P He was a tele tubbie as you can see. I sold him his blk hides and rune full helm back for 71k all together. Rangers aren't too cheap i suppose.

A few pk's and levels I have got recently: and some pks - This is one of my favourite Pks - I hopped worlds, saw her standing there, tbed, tangled speced 24,20,20,10,13,1,20,14 killed her. Didn't take damage. Same kind of thing happened here, although there was much less of a challenge. His stats aren't great, (I atrum I is 83 range 85 mage i think), he died before he could run. Another fun kill, where i didn't need my scimmy - I was standing on the level one side of the lvl1/2 border wilderness in edgy, when he attacked. He is a tank ranger. I ran to just outside of teh wilderness, potted, turned on pray, then went back for a fair fight. Well...I say fair, blitzed for a mighty 4...then 20,18-20,6. Dead. I always like free rune.

I was pking on my pure and walking from edgy to varrock for some multi pking. Saw a pure my lvl, bltiz speced him for the ko - he was flteching at edgy bridge. I always wondered why he was there - I just realised now :P Loot of a hundred or so shafts, sharks, a few blitz runes and quite a bit of pride in hitting 23,22,25 on my pure with potted and prayed specs + blitz. he didnt even have time to eat.

All of the effects that you have described make mage a side pking skill - to augment ranging or melee. I see many rangers pkign soley with range, I see many meleers pking soley with melee, but I hardly ever see a mage pking soley with mage. because you just cant get the ko's. You have to keep combining it with other skills - what ever jagex says, right now mage is a side attachment to range or melee, that helps them get the kills. ALl this does not make up for the inability to ko someone fast.

no - use water or ice spells. he is weaker to them. Thats why i suggested barraging him.

can i use my guthans spear instead of other one - i dont have a steel one.

ice barrage it. bring sharkies + runes and mage pots if u need.

The easiest way to beat that scam is to never press accept yourself - wait until he has pressed accept, so you can view the pictures. I find they show up scamming better than the words, as it is easy to leave of a zero. Lucky for you you only lost 300k. I lost 4m on that scam.

pest control for training. No quest required for barrows armor...just 5-10m cash (if you want a fury and warrior ring too) veraks - 5m rune boots -120k fury - 4.5 warrior - 600-700k obsidian cape - 250k/ fire cape - 1m + several hours of fighting.

There is no way of getting a quick ko with mage. With melee you have dragon dagger specs, maxing at 74 (37,37 i think), with ranged you can hit a maximum of 48 (24,24) in one move. Mages can hit a maximum of 30 in one turn. There is ample time between casts to eat - unlike with rangers, who, if they get very lucky and hit a string of 21's or more, you can never out eat enough to heal yourslef intime. The only way I ever get ko's with purely mage is if I am in deep wilderness and they have no chance of escaping, if they are using lobsters or worse as food, or if the disconnect. Ever tried pking in edgy with it? Ice barage, they eat, ice barrage, they eat, you fight for a bit, being forced to safe like hell to avoid thier dd(s)/msb specs, each hit costing them a maximum of 400 gp, each of yours costing you 2.6k. When they think they will lose, they run. You barrage, and if your lucky you may be able to freeze them once before they leave the wilderness...but no chance for the ko even then, as they eat a couple of sharks and escape, having only lost thier sharks and little bit of pride. You are probably poisoned, low on food, and that battle has cost you 50k in spells. Thats if you only cast barrage less than 25 times. If you were fighting a ranger, even if you get the kill, you wont even cover the cost of the runes you spent to do so. It is hardly surprising that mages pick on runecrafters, when it costs so much to kill anyone they can't ko in a couple of hits. That is why mages need a spec.
