Everything from the red sash up looks good, but everything below that just doesn't look right. Out of proportion, or something...

It's not that they don't appreciate your work, it's just that the image can't be used on these forums, because it goes beyond the signature limits.

Well, you really have to be at least decent at fixed-media stuff (a.k.a. RL art; drawing, or painting, ect..). If you're no good there then you will have trouble with pixel art. If you are good there, it's really not a great leap to start doing line-art, and then shading, and ect... those things are fairly self-explanatory and can be done even in paint.. (note that this is coming from somone who has never really done any pixel art...so, all you pixel artists out there, if I'm wrong in anything, please feel free to correct me :P)

There's really nothing I can do, sorry. Besides, the difference between the two is large-enough that it's not a big problem anyway.

Yeah...text and leaf throw everything off... go with a more technical font, or make the abstract more nature representative or something also lose the dropshadow

Better, DJ... The color and the font choice on your name don't fit the theme of the terregen render... The font says "eeeevil", and the render gives forth an aura of peace and ect..

Don't defend yourself by saying that you know it sucks, and it didn't take you very long. It just makes you look like an idiot. Because, if what you were saying was the truth, then you should've been smart enough to perfect it, or at least make it look decent.
