1947 ess/hour 1947 deaths per hour 866415 gp/hour minus 371877 gp for ess = ~500k/hour, at only 65 runecrafting. It seems like a boring method thought imo. And a pain if you don't rotate the mirror back. Yes, rotating the mirror back is terribly annoying. It's obviously not a method I would ever pick up, but it exists. Abbysal Rift thing like 3 times faster though? Why would you use this method?

Here's an early rs2 one, where I stood in fletching, total and rc. With those stats now you nearly wouldn't appear on the hiscores, rofl.

Wow, in the mid section I saw Hohto's pictures again, so amazing. I hope he can see this post and check if he still has those pictures.

During my returns I like to reflect on this topic. There are others similar, but none that involves so many posting pictures this old. Meili's archive wins, but this is still nice to see several people posting, from their perspectives. My computer was formatted, and I've lost all these pictures, so there's no real point reposting, especially when this is intact and is a decent read of 11 pages. I know I shouldn't bump a post so old, but it's such a good topic that I'm sure others can get a good afk read from it. Because fishing while cooking grants you more exp per fish if you cook it than if you fish the fish. Or people buy the food and cook. I read the first sentence 10 times and I still don't get it.

If you were to get them all wouldn't you do fishing before cooking? .... Makes a lot more sense and sets you up for buying the buyable 99s. Why the hell would you all go for cooking first?

Okay, I know you're upset, but don't go spouting nonsense. Merchants and merchanting clans existed long before the GE, and in my own opinion, their effects could be felt a lot tighter than what's going on now (World 2, merchants that refused to sell to you for eight hours, just plain annoying). Neither removing trade limits nor the GE would alleviate the problem. Nor would banning the clans themselves - nothing's stopping them from operating underground. Something's gotta be done about them, though. Before the GE you had to actually obtain ingredients yourself, or luckily find them. The ge made it easy both for people to get items fast, and to manipulate their costs ( along with trade limits ) Removing the GE and trade limits WOULD help manipulation, but I agree not remove it. Because of trade limits players are forced to buy at certain prices as it's impossible not to, a factor I find most frustrating. This helps manipulation a HUGE deal as players will be forced to pay the inflated price, and clans can raise this price quite easily because of the GE. Imagine trying to manipulate snape grass without the GE, you'd have to find the sellers, and attempt to buy them out. This just wouldn't happen, and didn't. At least not for nearly every single ingredient / product, which is what happens now. Removing the GE, trade limits, bringing back old pking (what you kill is what you get), would both fix the problem, but make RWT easy again. Sadly Jagex now care more about their income ( they are currently 10th Richest youngins in England right? ) instead of making their players happier and attempting to manually ban RWTs. Old schoolers will remember the day when Paul would enter the world and ask us loyal players what we think a good update would be, and attempt to act upon it. Now, they attempt to bring out an update every week, half of which are rubbish. Sorry I get off topic... a lot. Summary - removing GE and trade limits will not fix the problem entirely, but will help it. The question is, would you rather this which in turn would bring back epic RWTing.

This is what Jagex get for bringing out the GE. It's their fault and I hope merch clans either continue smashing the economy or Jagex remove trade limits and the GE.

I read a fair few blogs and noticed they all have a small about me section, and an rs history. I liked this idea, so here's mine which is now on the main page: About Me - RL : Everyone seems to have these, so I decided to add a quick one. I'm a 22 year old Male Australian, currently studying Marine Science. I've had a passion for surfing / wakeboarding / all watersports since a very young age, so it was a natural transition for me. That's about it, mebe I'll add more when I think of it. About Me - Runescape : I started playing in August 2001, for the same reason everyone did back then, to pk. When pures were discovered I made one and went pewpewing. After muashi brought down the price of r2hs to 200k ( still MASSIVE back then ) I saved and mined coal for a long time in hopes I could one day afford it. After noting all my coal, finally buying it, I pked for about 2 weeks straight. Somehow .... I lost it ( i still remember getting hit 10 dead for the kill ) and couldn't believe it. So i quit. I can't remember when I came back, but I did, still in classic. I played and skilled for a long time pushing myself to another r2h and some more pking times. I obtained one again finally, and made a ton of pks ( all f2p ). I documented all my pictures and pks on my TMW clan site, which was eventually lost, along with all the hard copies. Rs2 was released, and this was the first time I bought members and decided to stick with rs2 even though most of the rs community was remaining on rsc. I played for a fair while, but for reasons unknown I quit. I remember coming back and playing mostly in 2004-2005, getting most of the stats I currently have now. I was on and off due to university in 2006, but I powered on. Eventually I quit after the release of pest control and gave up on the game that was now way too easy. (Further down you can see my old hiscores, in which i was in the top 1k fletchers without it being maxed :P I returned on the 1st October 2009, so only this month. I've nearly learnt about all the new updates, and am not really impressed with the current state of the game. However, I still have goals I really want to achieve, and as long as I don't think to much about Jagex's mistakes, I'll be fine. Although I've dropped 28k places in overall within 3 years ( during the time I quit, people have gone from tutorial island to max stats ... wtf is that ). I now play this game for myself and no longer for the competetiveness of the hiscores, as I now have to accept, there's no way to get back into the high ranks.

Farming is so ownage. I spend 30 minutes a day on it tops. Love it :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

I remember talk of Duke Freedom suggesting that PoH have their own shop type thing. Where players would advertise their shop on RSOF and players could go purchase what was in the windows at PLAYER set prices. I liked the idea a lot, as players could be selling items while not present at the current location. AND FURTHERMORE it would force people to spend money on their PoH and thus drain the money out of the game ( it was needed at the time ). However, this didn't happen, and the houses are basically there to look pretty / get prayer up / teleport places. And in return for a shop suggestion, we get the disastrous GE of unbuyable / unsellable items. SHAME

If you don't mind playing a single player MMO, then you'll be fine returning, else, run.
