FML moments
Oh oh, I forgot. I've lost 2 fire capes pking, and 3 rune defenders. People decided to camp my spawn and not me retain my items. To this day ( 3 years on ) i haven't found the motivation to get them back. FML Is jad easier? I'd really like my pretty cape shimmering again.

FML moments
I woulda stood at the slayer tower, said fml, and logged. I don't have many FML moments, but my brother has .... a lot. Here's the top ones. ( This was 3 years ago, maybe 4, before graves, before ge, when people could trade whatever they wanted ) 1. Gave his red party hat to his pure ranger account with 1 defence, as he thought he looked cool. Died at fire giants - FML 2. Earned his way to another red party hat from weeks of merchanting. Lost it in a scam - FML --------- My FML moment was in rsc, r2h's were coming down in price, and the common people could nearly sell all their items and afford them. After mining coal for weeks and spending 2 straight days certing them, I bought my r2h ( equivalent to 200k at the time... which was... a lot ). Thought I'd be smart and go out 1 item pking, lost track of my prayer, got hit for a godly 10, died. I sat there not knowing what to do - FML ---------- After reading many posts, its clear there's been a lot of updates that stops the Runescape FML moments. As in this game, it used to be quite easy to get screwed. Having said that, people still find ways to fail. Fu*$ our lives. Runescape lives.

Most useful item in Runescape...
Yeah, but if you really had to think of ONE item that is the most important, besides coins to buy everything, since coins themselves are useless. I'm still thinking of one myself. You should make a most useful inventory :P That'd be fun for people to construct their 28 items that they must play the rest of rs with. I'm sure you could make a decent list, naturally neglecting some skills. Tinderbox -> Hatchet -> Glory ammy -> Mining pick -> Hammer -> 4 Box traps -> Bow You get the idea. Would be too hard. All the runes you need would already take up 1/3 of your space. What if the mining pick did the job of getting the pure ess and turning them into laws ... Heh, my idea is basically turning into what would happen with no banks. And I'm pretty sure just a few months before I was playing where there were indeed none. Scary.

The Unknown Skillmasters
Probably the all time great. He was untouched in xp and held top spot for the longest period of time. Shame now there's too many easy ways to level skills so we have over 200 ( maybe more? ) people maxxed out. So they're turning to maxing xp, lol.

Level Two Accounts...could any be left?
I don't think any of those would be left, although I'd say there'd be a fair few 9 hpers left.

Runescape Classic Fact Sheet -updated july 29-
To Genetic Freak - I'm not going to quote your entire post just for one line, but this is a response to you. You claim Zonghui to be a bad pker, but it was infact him who basically invented diagonal catching. He was one of the best known pkers and early inventers of catching. Although arugeably lady kill joy perfected it, he still was notable due to him being the first. I don't think he deserves to be recognised as "bad pker."

Runescape Classic Fact Sheet -updated july 29-
The black hole wasn't for banned players, I'm pretty sure I remember in the dwarven mountains a dwarf asked you if you wanted to go somewhere. He'd give you the disk of returning ( now discountinued ) which you would have to use to get out of the blackness.

Why is farming so mis-judged?
Farming is what Runescape should be all about, non time consuming  The skills allows for players to simply plant their stuff and get on with their day. Sure you can speed farm, but it's still counted as a gradual skill. You'll find most people who dislike farming are those who wish to either buy their skills straight out, stand there clicking in the bank / certain area all day ( fletching, woodcutting, cooking to name the easy ones ) or those who don't like the idea of actually moving around the world. I love farming, and I only wish there were more skills like it so I don't have to spent most of my rs time clicking the same thing over and over again.

You Know You're Old-School When...
viewtopic.php?f=30&t=519057 There it is. Oldschool photos. Melie is somewhere in that list with awesome high level old photos. Good archive of old information there too, including pictures of the knife bug and how it worked, the dupe, addy being the best armor plus various others.

You Know You're Old-School When...
When I remember talking to Paul about how we would pay for members When I remember the day the wilderness was made, such a big day :D The day the Christmas crackers were dropped. I thought it was lame and didn't bother with it, haha. When I made "lots" of money ( 5k or so ) selling dyed capes. The line was huge and back then only one person could talk to an NPC at a time. I somehow got the nack for perfect timing, and sold tons of colored capes. I remember green being the best. When I still remember the 4 server load screen. Server 1 Sever 2 Sever 3 Sever 4 Me and my buddies played on server 3, hehe. Server 1 was for trading. When my brother exploited the knife bug in the Australia vs NZ war and got perm banned. Speaking of which, you guys should check out a very special page, it'll either bring back a lot of memories or show you guys a ton of stuff about the past. I'll edit this post with a link ...

RuneScape getting kiddier and kiddier???
Yes, definetly. Think about the updates they've brought out after the release of rs2. Rsc and old rs2 was where it was at. Anyway: Pest Control - lame lame lame Quests No Wilderness Gravestone deaths There were tons of others I had, but I can't think of them now and I'm sleepy  Yes, because if there is one thing that proves Rs is becoming more childish, its RFD. Haha got me there. I admit they do have some decent quests, although after their promise 4 years ago of a weekly update it just seems they'd be happy to throw in any old quest just to keep the promise. I haven't played in 2 years, so I no longer know if that's the case, but I do know it was the case for an exeptionally long period of time. Man we got a lot of bad quests, heh.

Tip.It Times Presents: Perspective
Nice one. Time is definetly the biggest of all factors, and during my first few years of playing players could not be labelled by their level because the update for levels appearing next to ones name hadn't occured yet. Something I feel was incredibly nice for those who couldn't put as much time into the game as others, and were therefore judged on the WAY they played and talked, not their level or total level. These days players can be sidelined and ignored due to their level, something I also feel just isn't right. Nice read :)

Anyone See RuneScape at E3?
Why would they cover a browser game at E3? LOL. They already have wow, Runescape isn't exactly a challenging game now that the wildy is gone. It's all down to time consuming these days. I'm hanging out for Starcraft 2, it's going to be incredibly massive. I'm anticipating quite easily a record breaking sale for computer games. 2/3 Of the Korean population will buy it, and now that the competitive gaming industry is getting tons of English commentry support the worldwide community is staggering. Lots of people are gonna get into it straight away :D Myself included. :D

What 'age' do you think Runescape is for?
I think the way the updates have been heading over the past 4 years suggets to me Runescape is slowly become more and more of a kids game. I feel it used to be aimed for older players, but now that isn't the case. So my guess would be for young teens, possibly kids in the single digits.

Runescape is ruined forever
That is a great point! Anyways, Yes, its been 7 months, but he did quit for 2 years... And yes i know pking is not coming back, tbh i'd like it back too, but instead i got membership and right now i'm having a LOT of fun! Yah I agree, it'll work out. Us pkers will probably now just go back to skilling and chilling with friends. I'm currently having a lot of fun spending all my cash on summoning, good stuff.

Omg, another bad update ..
Lol i've never seen people get into a rant so much, I guess this post was crazy stuff. Well my ranting time is done, think I've vented enough steam about Jagex's stupidity. :P :P Phew, good flame session guys, I'm out. :D
