  1. would be easy to spot the abusers so I hope jagex bans them :)
  2. I am sorry to say, but they don't ban you because players think so, they ban you because they have the evidence that you have botted, may it be now or a year ago, if you really didn't bot then you did get hacked and someone else did bot on you account. All the people who get banned are screaming that jagex made a mistake.
  3. Lol I know the time that f2p got mith and addy arrows, and maple and willow bows. They couldn't use that in the past. Now you want yew bows as well? :P

The mac client has not been updated.
  5. Euh for your info runescape has been updated like 6 hours ago. Really? Mind linking me to the info for the update? Couldn't find it. [qfc]15-16-365-63312674[/qfc] second post

  7. It is my opinion and I said I am not going to debate it, why try to get an argument then? It doesn't matter if I am wrong or not, it is what I think.
  8. shame i was going for master rc robes... so I am going to do it on the f2p world...

Giving him the advise to buy a crappy windows computer just for runescape is strange, (by crappy I mean that it only did cost $100, you can't expect much from that, and I think it would just as quick or maybe even slower as his PowerPC). The real problem is apple not updating their old systems with java and jagex not making the client work for people with OS Leopard (Serious Leopard is not as old as you think it is, it is from 2007 that is as old as vista is.). So you are saying he should buy a computer with an OS from 2001 on it to replace his computer with an OS from 2007? And if you don't like windows you wouldn't want that.
  10. What makes you think they lose money with this? I think they will gain money with this as many legit people will come back and there are less people in the f2p worlds (all the f2p bots didn't make income for jagex)
  11. While I agree with a rare drop table, it is not sure if all monsters drop the same amount of the new added drops. Also they are not row only drops as you can get them without row too, they were just released at the same time as the row got updated.
  12. They can't and shouldn't and I will tell you why -- because if they do this, then Runescape becomes a gambling site -- with all the negative intonations that are included therewith. It's more of a tax on stupid people, but yeah ... But what is the difference between players gambling with each other and gambling against the game? Btw you can already gamble, look at barbican assault.
  13. Trust trading is not against the rules now as dicing is not against the rules. However in my opinion they should make dicing against the rules, it is worse then merchanting (which is in my opinion a form of scam, don't want to debate about that here), they should just make a dicing room where you can dice against computers, would be a lovely money drain.
  14. Given the proliferation of bots throughout the game over the last year, it's not overly surprising that so many of the online "players" at any given time were mostly bots. I think there's a lot of people who left because of bots who are simply waiting for a bit to see how effective this initiative will be over time and, if it is (and I certainly hope it will be), eventually some of those who left will begin to filter back. Word of the success will spread and will help bring in new players. As the old saying goes, "this is going to get worse before it gets better". We've been through the worse, now things will start to get better. Oh for sure about that -- and though I always thought that the botting problem was "bad", I never really expected the numbers to be THIS bad ... Which, really, is "good" -- because it just shows how effective Clusterflutterer (Phase 1) is right now, and how serious Jagex appears to be about fixing the botting problem. It certainly appears to be a very good start in any event. That said -- it looks as though the legit players have got their game back, and there's plenty of room to welcome in all sorts of new legit players who want to play. Frankly -- in stripping down the player base, I am rather hopeful that we might see a return to the community that there once was: the smaller, more intimate group of friendly people that used to "dominate" the landscape of the game ... Now I question myself how will RSOF look in a few weeks with a lot less players around that did bot. Will it be more mature? Or are the immature guys not the same as the botting guys? :P
  15. So was this update today or is it tomorrow? And so, does anyone know what they have done this time? :D
  16. Well I did have the problem too and it worked then, similar to other people on RSOF. And I don't go to check names about the same problem as I don't think people make multiple threads/posts about the same thing.
  17. essiw replied to Vroqren's topic in Help and Advice
Well if a large amount of people has problems with this and it is the case that the client only works for lion, jagex may make the client work also for older systems, but that can take a long time.
  18. What also could help is to open the picture in a new window (http://forum.tip.it/uploads/profile/photo-115529.jpg) and hard refresh it. But that can only work if they have both the same name.
  19. Yup, using a hair dryer would most likely melt the glue which will cause the glass to fall out (or it could cause the glass to break due the heat)
  20. That is a bug with the DirectX update, change to OpenGL to see them again.
  21. essiw replied to Vroqren's topic in Help and Advice
I searched it for you and found out that you are not the only one with that problem. The bad thing about it is that no mod has replied to the topics people made on the RSOF: http://www.google.nl/search?hl=nl&client=safari&rls=en&q=+site:services.runescape.com+%22unable+to+create+target+applet%22&redir_esc=&ei=PzSnTtbHE4fG-QaktbDcDw So the only thing you can do for now is to wait and see if some mod replies or if something gets said in the Technical forum of the RSOF.

You can download the client here: http://www.runescape.com/kbase/guid/Downloads_and_Wallpapers edit: v soz I was first :P
  23. Not sure what you mean by "dead" but the only thing you can do is to be sure you let it completely dry before turning it on again. Because IF it still works and it is wet inside it could give short circuit (sp?).
  24. Go to window settings in the client and press the "re-run auto setup" button. Should fix this.
  25. essiw replied to Vroqren's topic in Help and Advice
Try to download the mac client (they made a version for mac). What OS are you using? Tiger or Leopard? If you are using Tiger and the mac client doesn't work try installing Leopard on your computer (should work with powerPC although can make it slower) and try the mac client again. Other than that there is nothing else to do then buying an Intel based mac. Goodluck.
