No you are not the only one. Although if you look at the 200m all thread you can see that people are showing statics of bots being banned with 99 stats.

That's because the people on here have the common sense to grasp that it will be a day at the minimum before anyone can say anything of the sort... Not saying you don't have common sense, just that's why you're not getting the instant gratification you're seeking so desperately. Well - if I didn't know any better, I'd say that I was just insulted. :shame: ... and I think my point is valid. So far, I've seen nothing to indicate that bots aren't working. And I have seen NO evidence whatsoever that any accounts have been banned. And considering the "hype" surrounding a "BOT NUKE" scenario, one would think that such indications would be broad-based and instantaneous. That is, you know, one of the principals of a "nuke". This seems more like a "bot war on terror", that's going to dredge on for years and years ... :rolleyes: I'd say that Kimberly has a point. You're actually making soundbites now and making huge assumptions. Be patient, and we'll come to a consensus once all of the hype has died down. I agree with her, it is only logic that you can't say anything yet about if it did work when the update was today and it was a huge update against bots, this is not a very long quest you can solve in a few hours.

I would love to see the bot companies getting their bots to work after 5-8 hours and then jagex doing the same thing every day (by changing code etc.) So that the bot makers would have to spend 5-8hours every day to work it out :P

What graphics "mode" are you on? I hear there are some bugs with DitectX mode. Try changing that setting around, they say OpenGL is your best bet. Yeah i just looked around, the problem is fixed when i switch to software mode, and i play on minimum settings, but when i try to dungeoneer the black lines show up after every door is opened which is annoying, im going to try to look around some more. Just click on the "auto setup" mode and it is fixed ;)

I think these graphics bugs are related to direct X, so if you have trouble with them try switching to open GL or something like that ;) (you also won't see the nice water then :( )

It kinda is.. Although this offer is limited to the dates above, the colour change option will be permanently available once unlocked, so zombies, sugar-fiends and those spending time in Burgh de Rott can maintain an appropriately peaky pallor all year round. It was made to be a promo for those who bought membership via cards on Halloween. People have already paid for it, why would Jagex tell everyone that it was for the above dates only and then turn around and say something like "Actually we are making it free now, TROLOLOLOLOLOL!" I never said they would make it free, but that you would have to spend loyalty points or something like that on it. Because I don't even have the option of getting it because I live in the Netherlands where they don't sell the cards. They got it for free by their membership and I should pay for it with loyalty points, I don't get how that sounds free to you, but hey it was an idea it is not like they would even do it ;)

At 62 magic and 64 mining, you wouldn't need to do much to raise your ranks ... The point is that he did not gain any experience in those stats of his own. By maintaining his stats with 0XP gains, he still went up the few hundred thousand ranks - which imply that ranks above him were removed/reduced. No, you don't get the point I am making. You can see I didn't get any XP when I got those ranks. So that means they did roll-back or banned people. They didn't say what level the bots had, so it doesn't matter if your ranks are not affected because you could simply just be higher then all those bots that are banned. I was not talking about the question you are now stating, but that you wonder if it is true that they have banned/rolled-back those bots. Sorry if I did misunderstand you, but then it is for all the other people who said that ;)

Well, you have to assume many of those accounts had both magic and mining, so you can't just add the two numbers together. It's still a big number that points toward active action on Jagex's part. Banning of gold farmers and RWT is fine by me. Doing rollbacks on accounts that appear to be for actually playing the game is also fine by me. Real people react to getting spanked like that, gold farmers wouldn't blink at a ban much less a rollback. That is true, but I also didn't count all the bots that are ranked lower then me ;)

Thing is – Jagex has indicated that they're going to "TARGET" 98% of the bots and that they have "detected and banned over 1.5 million botting and gold-farming accounts" ... Frankly – I have not seen any reduction in botting yet – and it's been discussed here that the alleged 1.5 million +/- accounts in question have been merely "tagged" for banning once "Clusterflutterer" comes into effect. I worry that I may be "reading into this" more than actually is being said here. On the face of it, it appears that a very grand promise is being made, but it's been worded in some double-speak that makes it possible for Jagex to weasel out of these broad claims. ... and yes, I know that they cannot offer solid guarantees ... I mean, really, nothing's 100%, right? I just have to wonder if they actually genuinely honest-to–goodnessly mean what appears to be said here: i.e. that, if they're going to "target" 98% of the bots and BAN those 1.5 million accounts – or whether they're going to [kitty]foot around like they usually do, not actually eliminate anything whatsoever, let a percentage of the bots continue unabated, and simply rollback those 1.5 million accounts, or at least whatever percentage of those are P2P ... Damn – it sucks being pessimistic ... <_< Hate to say this three times... I have seen numbers of my fishing ranks gone up by 300k ranks and my magic rank increasing dramatically (at least 400k), so that is already 700k bots busted only by bots being higher JUST LOOK: http://runetracker.org/track-wissie,11,2 http://runetracker.org/track-wissie,7,2 (it is bugged because if you are not in the highscores you are rank 0 so that is why it decreased 1,6mil instead of increasing 400k). So there is the proof of at least half of the 1,5mil.

Logic: 98% of bots are killed, that leaves 2%, means that 2% is the new 100% although at that moment it is still the same amount. So while you are 100% right it doesn't mean the bot problem continues ;) Joking aside, I like to see what they have planned :) and hoping it lasts longer than a few weeks :)

What is the RS launcher? The client?

They should at least make it possible to get by loyality points too. Maybe half a year after it, but why make it one time only, it is not a holiday gift...

Hate the fact that this is something again that I can't get even when I am already paying members... At least they should make it available through other ways of paying...
