Satenza

I saw the new james Bond film Casino Royale on Friday. It was alright, particulaly the first scene which was the best in my opinion. Very dark, and gritty like a 50's Noir. However it eventually steeped into a generic Bond film despite Bond becoming slihtly different this time. The usual priapic figure, the usual story about terrorism. However this flet slightly less sophisiticated. The torture scene for example felt like one for 14 year olds, and story line was forced at points despite this being quite long. In all i think the way to change the generic Bond, yet keep the prestige of it is to make the storys more gritty and dark. This just felt like a slightly different Bond in a regular Bond film. It was alright, just not anything to rave about. The ending was quite nice, I hope the next one feels more dark than this with me wanting to find out exactly who this Mr White is (maybe a tributed name to Tarantino as he was once set to direct i beleive. I havn't read the book though so he may be Mr White in that). 6/10 I also saw The Prestige. It had a good cast, Christian Bale, High Jackman and Michael Caine. I think i read this was supposed to get Caine another oscar nomination, although he was good i doubt it was oscar worthy. The ending is quite strange and unexpected. Yet you can see why, and it takes us through the clues in the film (similar to The Usual Suspects ending). It was a good period film about two Magicians rivarly, that as the tag line says turned into battle. It gets quite vicious, and out sypmathys switch between the two men competing (Bale & Jackman). It was dark of course i would expect nothing less from Nolan the director of Batman Begins and Memento to name some. A very good film, well shot not too dark and not too victorian. 8/10

If you do the Mage Training Arena ALWAYS get the infinity skirt, everything else is a waste. The skirt sells for around 4.5-4.7m

Merchanting isn't walking into a room telling people a fake price buying an item from someone then laughing in their face. Much like merchanting isn't not hard work , it is. Cnstantly having to look at market values, having to predict the future of the market, and having to spend hours finding a good deal. Good deals do NOT mean ripping people off and buying their item at a massive undercut it is buying their item for the low end of the price scale. Then selling at the high end of it, or keeping and waiting until the market peaks to sell then buy back when it comes lower. Calling all merchants scammers and hackers is the most idiotic thing i have ever heard. Merchanting is a skill, Duke was good at it because he was interested in the subject and he was their at the right time much like a lot of the rich merchants. It may not have levels to it but it is a skill. What this is, is ripping people off like in Construction when it first came out people where selling saws for 20K each and Cloth for massivley marked up prices. Yes it is up to the buyer when he buys an item, but people who do this know they are ripping people off. As they obviously get it in mass quantities for a lot cheaper. Another example being the log merchants when Contruction came out who switched to F2P for oak logs buying them for 20gp and selling them on for 100gp each. This also applies to things like Slayer items when they first come out you see them being sold as new items for massive prices, and I'm sure a lot of people would agree that's wrong. Anyway that's what i call dishonarble merchanting.

Aw, i wanted that postcard to be a tribute to Pink Floyd, but one of you likes them! Thats good enough. I don't know which one but i will find out which crewbies or admins like Floyd and i will figure them out. I was convinced your little 'slacker' thing may have refered to S1acker but you bumped that theory on the head. We must expose the editor! Also it was a great article, keep ones like this up they entertain the majority of the readers who are active members of the forums. Well, he said here if i remember correctly that he didn't mind the selling on Ebay. People work hard in rl for their money and therefore shouldn't have to work hard in rs too for it as well.

Judging by posts around here, R2 looks like he has pretty much quit. Chewy Shoe also quit although he was a slightley older merchant. With Duke gone too the only one i really know of anymore is fredmcgarry. Although i have not been really looking into the rarers market for a few months,so he could be inactive too. Edit: Apparently R2 was banned for selling GP on ebay?
