The Third Man - My favourite film and i have seen it many, many times before but it never looses anything with each viewing. Orson Welles is better in this than Kane even if he is a supporting lead actor as is Joseph Cotten. Not that i don't love Kane but this is much more entertaining.

10-15 pk's per hour? I have seen about 1 person die while abby rcing. They waste more on runes and pots than they do. There lucky to even get one drop. Seriously its too easy to get away from them. There annoying yes, but there part of the game and I like watching them run away in their canfis robes.

Some people would call Dog Day Afternoon a great masterpeice. It's pure emotion especially in the Attica scene. Well at the time of release that is. But no he ain't one of the greatest directors.

I agree Echoes on the way to go first. He needs to listen and get into them before he goes all out on Wish You Were Here.

Get Echoes too, i'm sure you know the more popular ones but for the full experience you need to play a whole album straight through. It's like a book of moods and emotions.

Very intresting movie, great direction. It must have taken alot of patience and skill to get those beautiful long takes. I like the feel of it too, and that fact it not only challenges the characters racial prejudments but the audiences aswell. Like Lumet (the director) is challenging us. Aswell as the fact we become a Juror too and get emotionally involved. The open ending is very nice fact the jury don't really know who did it and as we know as much as they do neither do we. We find out what happened as they did and can feel for the decision they have to make. If you like this also see other work by Lumet, his career spans 50+ years now and he is still alive. He is very intresting. I would reccomend Dog Day Afternoon with Al Pacino and John Cazale (who died shortly after filming of cancer he was one of the greatest actors on my opinion). He is almost an early Scorsese and has a very good relationship with Pacino. He is largley under recognised too! He has worked with some of the greatest stars like Marlon Brando, Henry Fonda, Fayne Dunaway ect ect. I have rambled.

As said, get the Echo's album. For the reasons mentioned above. Floyd are one of the greatest bands to ever play, but they use alot of sound effects so are hard to capture or play on a guitar with an amp. Dark Side Of The Moon is my favourite album get that after the echoes if you like it.
