New Quest: From The Ground Up and Kingdom Management
tyluke replied to tyluke's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
Four Days and no comments or supports? c'mon guys? -
So I plan on training range from level 61-70 so I can equip black D'hide armour specificly I am currently doing slayer but I have been mainly recieving tasks like trolls, or jellies which aren't range ideal I also considered Pest Control but this would require over 1600 tickets which would take along time on the intermediate boat. I was hoping someone could lead me to a guide or show explain to me some good training areas and the gear to wear to these locations for optimal success. As it stands I have access to Full Red D'hide Rune crossbow (no ammo specified, looking for a recomondation) Magic Shortbow (no ammo specified, looking for a recomondation) Freminik archer helmet Accumulator (for steel arrows) I understand that fire giants and Ogres are effective training, but these areas are typically packed so I was wondering if anyone knew any other effective training areas? ?would standard training be faster than Pest Control (I would be using melee gear in Pest Control, but the tokens would go towards range)? What are good slayer tasks to traing Range other than pyrofiends?

As much as I agree the solution is simple. 1. Turn off public chat to shut up the noobs 2. Report Bots 3. Respect other players 4. Have fun

You could also do lobsters or swordies/tuna on Karamja, and theres a deposit box so you dont have to miss out on the money :) your choice

Post Updated, sorry to those that didn't see my updated post :) -
[hide=The Quest] [hide=Quest Requirements]: Royal Trouble, Kingdom of Miscellenia, Tai Bwo Wanna Trio, The Grand Tree, The Giant Dwarf, Monks Friend, Wolf Whistle, and Druidic Ritual[/hide] [hide=Skill Requirements] 60 Fishing 60 Woodcut 50 Mining 50 Farming 50 Herblore 50 Summoning leverl 35 Prayer High Combat Stats[/hide] [hide='Quest Description] The Islands of Miscellenia dn Eccentria have been destroyed by a catastrophic earthquake/hurricane. Most of the inhabitants have fled the island, now in ruins. The ruling family has left the island and is now living in a small cottage in Karamja: retired enjoying the sunshine. It is your job now as the ruler of Miscellania to rebuild the island, and your castle. Repopulate its citizen and make it your own. Those who remained on the Island include advisor Grimm and two other citizens[/hide] The Quest is divided into several parts, these parts can be completed in any order you wish, but the dock must be rebuilt first! [hide=Part 1: The Dock] With the dock destroyed you must rebuild a dock to learn how to make a dock consult the engineers at the tower of light, and theyll give you the blueprints to do so. Now with the blue prints in hand and the appropriate planks, nails and tool you may rebuild the dock. The easiest being a rickety dock (better docks available with higher construction). Once the dock is built ships will be able to take you back to the fremminik province.[/hide] [hide='Part 2: The Trolls] As you scower the island you discover there are packs of ice trolls camping on the island feasting on whats left of the farms and your subjects. You must kill three trolls (level 120) that attack with both melee and range from the three camps across the island. After you kill the trolls you must kill each partys troll bigun (leader) that attacks with melee and mage (that freezes you)[/hide] [hide=Part 3: The Maple Forest] With the Dock rebuilt you will now need to replant the forests in Miscellania. First you must acquire some maple seeds, gardening tools and compost. Once youve acquired these you may begin clearing the land of debris, treating the soil and planting your seeds. When a small section of the forest is re-grown your task is complete (for the moment) your workers may go back to harvesting maple logs at this point[/hide] [hide=Part 4: The Tropical Trees] With the dock rebuilt you will have to travel to karamja and speak to the royal family and the local indigenous people to acquire seeds to rebuild your mahogany and Teak trees. The process to growing the trees back is the same as part 2.[/hide] [hide=Part 5: The farm patches, flax patches and herb patches)] To rebuild the farming patches you must first clear the land of debris and ruin. After that you must seek the aid of the gnomes and master farmer to return nutrients to the soil and seeds for the allotments. Once that is done you must acquire flax seeds from the seers in seers village. Once the materials and knowledge have been acquire you may go about composting and re-sewing your fields. When your fields have been re-sewn your workers may resume work[/hide] [hide=Part 6: Raiders] Raiders on the southern part of the island have set up cape and are shouting at your citizens keeping them from working. By talking to the raider chief you learn that hell only leave if you can beat him at a thrown axe competition. To beat him you must encourage him to drink a tankard of fremminik ale and beat him in the contest[/hide] [hide='Part 7: Corsairs] Pirate corsairs on the northern part of the island are holding up camp, happily sailing around causing chaos. When you approach them they hold you at gunpoint and take you to their captain. The captain agrees to leave if you bring him the tusks of an Wallasalki Rex. The Wallasalki Rex lives in the in a cave that can be reached via a secret cave near the lighthouse. The Wallasalki Rex attacks with a magical attack, but will ram you in close combat sending you flying back several squares damaging you. The Wallasalki Rex will also heal itself if you let it enter the water where you can only hit it with range and magical attacks, while it heals. Wallalsalki Rex Tusks can be traded to the Corsair lord to leave the island and can be mixed with Dwarf Weed to produce a poison that temporarily freezes your opponent (for range weapons only)[/hide] [hide=Part 8 The Mine] Seek the aid of the dwarves to uncover the mine which is now covered in bedrock and sand. The dwarves will teach you how to uncover the mine using mining tools and construction materials. When a part of the mine is finally uncovered your workers may resume mining for you.[/hide] [hide=Part 9 The Castle] The Player may now rebuild their castle on the ruins of the previous castle (miscellania side) First thing the player must clear the land and salvage any material from the rubble. Once the rubble has been cleared the player must acquire blue prints from a real estate agent (for the appropriate price) and than may set about building their castle with the appropriate materials[/hide] [hide=Part 10 Worker Housing] When the storm hit the island many of the inhabitants fled the island, and now with no one to collect the resources now available on the island. You need to encourage people to come live on the island. The worker housing will be constructed on the ruins of the Eccentria Castle (in a similar fashion of construction to the castle) After the storm there were three inhabitants. Once again you must speak to the real estate agent for the blueprints and may begin construction when the materials are obtained.[/hide] [hide=Part 11 The Bank] The bank must be rebuilt for obvious reasons and the bank. To rebuild the bank you must construct the building in addition you must speak to dwarf engineers in Keldergain about construction safes. Once the safe and bank have been built you may use the bank.[/hide] [hide=Part 12 Fruit Tree Patch] The player must acquire numerous Fruit tree seeds and fruits from gnomish gardners. Then plant, treat and grow these trees however they wish and may collect daily (bananas, oranges, limes, pineapple etc) This patch is not gathered by workers, just for personal use[/hide] [hide=Part 13 The Obelisk] As the Island progresses several workers will suggest you build a summoning obelisk, speak to the druids in Taverly for information on how to collect the materials and construct a summoning obelisk on Miscellania.[/hide] The Quest is complete when Parts 1-11 have been upgraded once (rickety dock, tiny forest patch, small mine, bank teller, shack castle etc). Parts 9 and 10 are optional improvements. The Island will take several improvements to make it as good or better prior to the storm. When the quest is complete people will now come to visit the island perhaps to stay or explore.[/hide] [hide=Changes to Kingdom Management After Quest] [hide=Travelling NPCs] Travelling NPC's are people who travel across Runescape and have decided to stop in Miscellania to rest, wait or hide. while they are present they drain a small ammount from your resources for their day to day necessities, but in return they will also provide resources for the temporary period they choose to stay on the island (1-5 days) Hunter Harry: As the island starts to turn around a man named Hunter Bill will set up camp on the island, he will appear at random times and will ask for your permission to hunt for penguins, rabbits, gulls and ferrets (the local nature of Miscellenia) if you approve he will give you a small cut of whatever he catches. In turn you may give him farming equipment to improve his abilities to hunt. Slayer Sophie: Is another traveling NPC like Hunter Bill that stops by miscellania to camp as she hunts daggonth and ice trolls. If you let her stay on miscellinia she will give you a cut of her drops. You can also help by arming her with slayer gear, armour and weapons. She will return a random amount of regular, big or even dragon bones. She will also give you charms that she may find. Dirty Dan: Is another travelling NPC like Hunter Bill that hides in Miscellania to avoid the authorities if you allow him to seek temporary refuge in Miscellania he will reward you with some of his loot, but be careful if your bank is not secure, you may notice some of your coffers or resources disappear. Brother Bernardo: Is a traveling priest that asks if he can rest on Miscellania before his long journey back to Entrana. When he is present on Miscellania your workers are easier to please and your farming yields more since Brother Bernardo enjoys gardening.[/hide] [hide=Docks Upgrades] 1. Rickety Dock: two fishing spots for the workers and a dockspace for the boat to the Fremminik province 2. Stable Dock: three fishing spots for you and the workers. I would be a 100% supporter (this coming from a P2P) but, only if you change the boss away from Elvarg. Since Elvarg is the ending boss from Dragon Slayer, I would appreciate a boss that is not quest specific. It could even be a different dragon, on a different Island. but not the same one. Other then that, Awesome Post! =D>
-
I don't think it'd be necessary since I have Bunny Ears
-
This would be a cool idea if it was a monetary award like a thank you for playing for a whole year. here's 10k, or an xp lamp but I think something like a helment, boots or armor would just waste bank space
-
I really think the idea is cool and I really like the picture, but I have to say NO because there are already transportation methods available. Balloons, Carpets, Gliders, boats, magical teleports and even canoes. any concerning someone elses post I wouldn't support mounted familars either. It's a cool idea  but it's not appropriate with the other means of transportation already in place.

I haven't been on the site in a while and it seems you guys have updated the format. I cannot seem to find how I can make topic tabs or hidden tabs for my posts If anyone could please explain how to do this with the new format, or the code to do it manually I would greatly Appreciate [grateful] Thank you Sooo much [/grateful]

101 Suggestions, #19 (again), #20, and #21.
tyluke replied to mister_moocky's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
I support ALL except the energy bar/special attack bar that strectches beside the map. I don't see the gameplay improvement in that one, otherwise freaken awesome post! -
Your essentially saying that if someone has 99 prayer they should be able to use Piety regardless of whether they finished the quest or not, which the mastery aspect is true... but I dissagree because these new abilities are put in-game with quest requirements to encourage players to go out and complete these quests. So I have to say NO because I think players should have to venture out for these updated abilities, and perhaps we should have to do that even more so!
-
It's a cool idea, and it seems you put alot of effort into the concept... but I have to say NO, because it would be easily abused and the Runescape economic system is too simple and primitive to require a system like you are suggesting
-
It's a cool idea, and I would appreciate it, if it existed... but I have to say NO unfortunatly. things like PK worlds, boss fights, slayer, duel arena. the rewards are great but you have to assume there is an equal or greater risk.

This question may seem stupid but I just got back in RS after a 9 month break :) happy to be back BTW I am trying to find the battered key to get into the elemental workshop. I do not have the key on my account, and I have tried using the book in the bookshelf and slashing it to get the key, but it says nothing interesting happens (this was attempted with both a knife and a slash weapon) the book is referred to as the 'slashed book' when it's in my inventory I cannot figure out how to get in to start this quest, and it is really frustrating so any help would be appreciated To the best of my knowledge I dropped the key long ago when I ended my membership, or lost it when I died and it was on the key ring from Eadger's Ruse. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thank you

Question 1 The whip has 0 stab bonus so wouldn't that be a bad decision? I currently have a Dragon Halabred which has a 70 stab bonus, does anyone think that would work, the only downside is I wouldnt be able to hold a shield, which sucks becasue the scarab still hit 18s on ocassion :-( Question 2 If i did loan an item from someone and died, what happens to that loaned item, am i punished for losing it? Question 3 I'm 1.5mil away from being able to afford full Gutham, would it make sense to buy Gutham, or not bother with the risk. Question 4. Anyone here able to loan a Zamorak spear for an hour sometime this week?
-
During the Contact! quest I am currently stuck at the part of the quest where you need to kill the scarab. I have died twice at this part and its frustrating me beyond belief I lost all my equipment excluding my Torag helm, torso and legs. equipment lost includes: 2 dragon scimitars, holy wrench, prayer potions, antipoison, monkfish, glory amulet. I took Monkfish, prayer potions, as well as the necessities (candle, tinderbox, desert robes, waterskins etc)now that I have died twice, even after reading the tip.it guide, the second time I fought it I got its health down to about half way but I kept hitting zeros. If anyone could explain to me their set ups and what they did to beat the scarab. the guide said its weak to magical attacks, so what would people wear to fight it considering it attacks with all 3 classes of combat. Additional Questions Question 1. If i did loan an item from someone and died, what happens to that loaned item, am i punished for losing it? Question 2. I am 1.5mil away from being able to afford full Gutham, would it make sense to buy Gutham, or not bother with the risk. Question 3. Anyone here able to loan a Zamorak spear for an hour sometime this week? my stats are listed below. thanks ahead of time for any advice provided

Gold ore can be 2x smelted with the level 2 armor i believe

I'll be the first to admit I am not a 'hardcore' ranger since my range is only level 61, but after reading several posts and seeings peoples complaints about range here are some suggestions on my part to make alternative range weapons more popular. I would appreciate feedback and further possible solutions for range. There are certain range weapons I will not adress like the Hand Cannon, frankly because I know so little about it other than it looks cool and explodes in your face. This is not meant to be a complaint post about range, but a discussion for appropriate improvements. Thank you. [hide=Javelins]I suggest making javelins smithable but requiring a certain fletching and smithing level to produce, from what I understand I think javelins should be designed to be a slow range weapon but hit very hard (relative to darts etc). I suggest every bar produces 5 Javelins. Javelins should also be weilded as a range weapon or a melee weapon[/hide] [hide=Throwing Axes] These should be smithable, and like my suggestion for Javelins requre a certain fletching and smithing level to produce. Throwing axes, to me should be a lighter-faster form of the javelin. I'm told the Rune Throwing axe is ok, I guess there should be the option of equiping the throwing axes as a melee weapon but i could only see the need for that in desperate situtations. I suggest 5 throwing axes per bar.The Range bonus value on axes should increase by 1-3.[/hide] [hide=Darts]I believe darts should be 15 or 20 per bar, considering their smaller size, and similarity to arrow heads. Darts should be the fastest standard range weapon so I don't know else to say about it. The Range bonus value on darts should increase by 1-3.[/hide] [hide=Crystal Bow]I don't think the Crystal bow Range attack bonus should decrease below 70. thats just opinion[/hide] [hide=Karil]I am currently hearing alot of complaints about how Karil's Special isn't as practical as the other suits special abilities. I have only heard of one really good application so I will list some suggestions for Specials. -Succesful shots have a chance of reducing targets magic level -Succesful shots may 'paralyze' target for 1-2 seconds -Succesful shots may hit higher than average -Succesful shots may have a 'bleed-out' effect (similar to poison) Of course Karil's special doesn't need to be changed this is just some ideas[/hide] [hide=Longbows]These should be made more accurate, or hit harder than short bows (to make up for the infrequency of hits. I'm not really sure what else to say about them. [/hide] [hide=Enchanting]I think all crossbow and arrows above Mithril should be able to be enchanted and embedded with any gem the player possess'. A mithirl arrow with emerald tips would obviously be less deadly than rune arrows with emerald tips, but I would like to have this option to kind of give rangers 'special attacks' compariable to what melee players have available to them (easy example is the Dragon Longsword special attack.)[/hide] [hide=Cannon] Only change I would recomond is each steel bar makes 5 cannonballs each. nothing serious I think the cannon is fine as it is[/hide] [hide=Arrow Pouch]This idea has the same concept as the bolt pouch for crossbows but for arrows. This is just an idea for ammo sotrage[/hide] Well thats all I have for now, I'd really like to here some opinions on these suggestions. Till than thanks for reading.

Labour Capes- new and edited-only exclusive f2p item
tyluke replied to Miner_Guy's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
no support sorry, the idea of an achievement cape for level 85 doesnt really suit a purpose, so i don't agree with it, the cost doesn't seem logical but the nail that sealed the coffin was the f2p only idea. that is absolute nonsense. good intentions but really needs to be thought out. -
lol The i see their interpreation is the higher skill requirements and the longer the quest in general determine the difficulty. its not really anything to get upset over though since the Runescape quest guides help is minimal yay for tip.it guides <3:
