Not good. You have different lighting angles for the swsord and the dog, the eyes do not look realistic and the sword is also pixelated. The sides are really badly erased and the pose of the dog is not as such as you could really manipulate it.

The stars are linear, You've used the airbrush to add texture to the tree. There is no shading and there's no shape to anything. Not a very good start but if you take all these points into account and try again you'll get a much nicer picture.

Anatomy? I was just thinking he was atomical! Very good start. His arm seems twisted but thats been mentioned a few too many times. His left arm seems too straight. you seemed to have got the majority of the abdomin correct though and I love the fiery tail on the bearded god :D Keep it up

yea im kinda new to maya. I have problems with the texturing. Im gonna go read some tutorials to get better :) Great. They really help to familiarize yo uwith the tools and how to use them. That's what I did. Now, I'm no Pixar employee, but with practice, I'm sure I could improve ;) Buy a book. Maya (# of version you have) Fundamentals. That's what I have. It came with a CD and you can watch tutorials on there. Very cool and very easy to follow. Try online ones (if you can find any) and once you've got the feel of the program get a book. This can be done either way round but that way worked best for me :D

Many use paint. It's all I think you need. For it to be a pixel you can only use a one pixel brush so there's not much point in uB3R 1337 s0f1war3.
