Real life help & advice
Stop hanging out with him. If he's not that much of a friend to you, just avoid him. Let him wallow in his self-pity. If he was more of a friend, then I'll advise something else. But if he's not...meh.

In the Netherlands. Lets get drunk and high, but we can't drive. It's probably something else though.

Making History II
Probably. Even more so if you like history.

Does going mainstream mean you are destined to be hated?
People who complain about auto-tune should use it themselves and become famous! Wait. That won't work...but why? Oh yeah; mainstream artists aren't famous for their talents, but their image the record companies think they have. If a rich man offers you to play the violin (you suck terribly at it) for millions of dollars, who wouldn't accept? Blame the record companies. Blame idiotic tweens and teens. But you can't blame a person to hop on millions of dollars...in fact, all of us would do the same thing.

Making History II
Yeh, there's lots of strategy games. And lots of WW2-related things. Not a surprise when they match up... Anyway, my only worry about this game is the 'turn-based' system...I sorta went away from those after I started playing Paradox' titles. Nonetheless I'm glad a grand-strategy game is on VG&C. Got enough mainstream games here anyway.

Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
I can't stand Sprite, at all. It tastes awful. Agreed. It's also so bland...

Yes, idiots ruining it for the rest of us. Just remember, not all of us are like that. I mean, I give off the "bad communication skillset" personality, but I just don't say a damn word is why. I talk when I have to, not in excess, so I seem a bit blunt and 'out of it' in interviews...not really. But, whatever. If complete [wagon] and mentally ill patients can get jobs I can too, somehow. So you act antisocial and impersonal in an interview, but expect the interviewer to somehow understand you really aren't? That's not really how it works. "This is what I did and my qualifications." I don't have to sugar coat nothing to get it across. There's a difference between sugar coating and being able to hold a conversation. I said I can talk. You ask questions, I answer them. We're not dating or trying to become friends, just co-workers in the life-long journey of making money. Pure and simple. "You ask questions, I answer them" isn't a conversation. It makes you seem incredibly unsociable, and if someone like that applied to work for me they would be my last choice, especially in a job that requires so much social interaction. #-o Who said I wanted to be a salesman? Talking to shelves when you put boxes on them sure is useful.

Is slavery wrong?
I disagree. If slavery advanced us, why aren't we using the technology and customs of the late 19th/early 20th century? In the last century we advanced more than all of mankind combined. Why? The industrialization in the 19th century is what led to our situation today and that was with underpaid factory workers, not slaves. In America, for instance, the northern states were much more industrialized than the south. And we know in the north slavery was illegal. Britan banned slavery in 1836: close to the start of the industrial revolution. For the next fifty years other European nations banned slavery and the clinging hope of feudalism changed to industrialization. What we needed was a large number of unskilled laborers, which came from the centuries of feudalism, which is different than slavery.

Is slavery wrong?
Yeah, thread title is misleading to modern time. But was it moral back then? No. Is it moral now? No. Was it ever moral? No.

Is slavery wrong?
Could you post some of the 'pro-slavery' arguments from your discussion? I'm seriously drawing blanks here, besides blunt profits.

Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
If a McDonalds was in the way of your school, you could pick up some of their small packets reather than a home bottle. I never understood the 'i' before 'e' rule...hardly any words follow it.

I think it's the over-glorified sugar-coating companies give out. How much experience or people skills do you need to say "May I take your order", count some money, and give change? I'm here to get money, not 'professional experience' and a 'lifelong career with MacDonalds' (that's lulz-y) and you're here to make money. Why can't we just get along that way?

I love how this thread is one sided between Drinking and Drugs.
