  1. It happened a long while ago, when I was still a newb... Anyways, I think the special for the magic bow used to take something like 40% of your special bar. The changed it so that it took 55%, so that two specials couldn't be unleashed almost simultaneously.
  2. It would be great if you used the "Help and Advice" forum next time, buddy. I realize you're new to the Tip.It forums, so I won't be too harsh on you.
  3. Is it just me or is Jagex going to release a series of "metal" crossbows, since the BTS specifically mentioned smithers would benefit from this? Bronze crossbow, iron crossbow, etc. I mean, that certainly isn't a bad thing... It would be great if the arms of the crossbows wore out after a while (like BARROWS, not CRYSTAL) and that you had to get a replacement arm to make it operational again. These would be supplied "only" by smithing them. No stores. Nope, all smithers. Thus you would have two parts: the crossbows we have in-game currently, and the enhancement arms. I think it'll be something like that.
  4. Anyways, I know what you are saying. I logged on today and this level 15 character was on and kept on trading me. Instead of calling him a noob or worse yet, giving him anything of value, I told him where he could make some money selling flax and told him a few tips that would get him far in the game. He stopped trading me, started picking up the flax, and began to bank it. Hopefully I helped somebody become a decent RS player. But seriously...throwing money at the problem doesn't help anybody. And life doesn't work like that movie. If somebody helped me on the condition that I have to help three other people, would I do it? NO! That's a complete rip-off!
  5. Yeah, I've worked on it for about 12-15 hours now, at least. And it's still not done!
  6. Oh, really? What does it mean? Anyways, good luck! BTW, do you accept the challenge?
  7. Omg, ty... I was asking where the volcano was; nobody replied. w00t! Now I can get all of the songs in runescape! All of them.... Anyways, gl with the event ;).
  8. Aquashock, I'm pretty sure only strike spell hurt, and since fire strike does 12 damage to him and costs a few pennies on the dollar compared to slayer dart, I recommend you stick with the strikes. When he was created, slayer dart didn't exist. I don't think they updated him any... Ty for the info, aqua. Also, since I'm merching p pots right now, I know that there are 6 respawns in waterbirth, not 5. Also, I like pineapples for super compost more since watermelon seeds are annoying to get.
  9. Langer, you can do ME2 at 56 or 57 agility. Trust me; I've done it. The handholds; the handholds! Aaaah! :ohnoes:
  10. I just took the information from the Tip.It Herblore Guide to figure out what Zamorak potions did...I've never actually tried one myself. I'll add a guide on farming herbs later on, although I think that most people want the secondaries portion to be added next, so that's what I'll do... Anyways, a new portion of the guide is up! Say hello to "Facing Salarin the Twisted"!
  11. Omg...I've been calling it Karajima for two years now. Can't believe I didn't pick up on that! :wall: Anyways, I'll fix it. I've got to get some sleep right now, but I'll do the Salarin part when I wake up. I decided I should merchant some prayer potions before I continued the guide so it could meet higher standards. Just sold 360 of them and made a decent profit...still can't believe I have 2.7 million and nothing to spend it on. I was never good at making money; it's not that I blow it away, it's just that I never get any in the first place.
  12. Sorry for being gone so long and double posting. I just worked so hard on this guide and I'm still not don.e Please give it a second chance? Thank you to everybody who will read this. :D
  13. I'm so tempted to do this, even though I'll probably lose... I'm going for the exact same goal as you, and I want to have a race to see who gets 70+ fastest. Tell me what you think. If you want to check my stats, just look me up on the high scores. My rsn is the same as my name here. And btw, I'll help you with the theiving. Try doing the pyramid plunder mini-game or theive knights until 65 theiving. Then switch to blackjacking menaphite thugs until 70. Worked for me ;). Oh yeah...keep on toiling!
  14. Meh, I think the best money-maker for you to access first would be 44 runecrafting. Yeah, definately. Selling them for 330-340 each in bulk and buying pure essence for 100-110 each will leave you with about 200-230k gp every hour. To be honest, however, I'd recommend quests more than money. Quests open up areas that can be very good for training certain skills, whereas money does not.
  15. Hm...I guess it depends. I would recommend something small at first. I have two ideas; run with them if you want to. Either: 1) Try to get 100 qp. -or- 2) Get all skills 30+. Neither of them should take more than a day or two, and then you can set your sights of more ambitious goals. One step at a time...you just don't start up in Lumby and make a goal of "All 99 skills or bust!". As your ability increases, step up your goals. That's how I did it...all quests done and currently going for 70+ all skills. :D Man, your post reminds me of my nooby days...I was new to tip.it (quite shy, really; never really posted much), a f2p noob, and had a total of about 200. Just be glad your total level is so easy to raise; I remember getting about 300-400 total levels 1 month and another 300 the month I became a member. Keep at it, grasshopper, and you'll go far! EDIT: Actually, I just thought of a nice goal list. 1) 30+ all skills. 2) 65 Combat. 3) 43 Prayer. 4) Complete "Heroes Quest". 5) 100 qp. 6) 40+ all skills. 7) 125 qp. 8) 45+ all skills. 9) 75 Combat. 10) Complete "Legends Quest". 11) 150 qp. 12) 50+ all skills. 13) 175 qp. 14) 80 Combat. 15) Complete "Recipe for Disaster". 16) 55+ all skills. 17) 200 qp. 18) 60+ all skills. 19) 85 Combat. 20) All quests done! 21) 65+ all skills. 22) 90 Combat. That will keep you going for a while.
  16. Oh, shoot. I had some problems with posting my topic and I thought the message was lost...apperantly I was wrong. Please delete this. Sorry about this.
  17. I'm trying to get all of the songs in runescape, but I can't seem to find "Everlasting Fire". The music guide says that it's at a volcano in the wilderness, but I can't seem to find one. Does anybody know its general location? Ty in advance. :D
  18. I love it how people are praising the "Fertile Soil" spell. I mean, supercompost isn't that hard to make, and it certainly isn't a major inconvience. Tele to Karajima using a glory or to Brimhaven with your house, go slightly southwest of the small town, and pick the pineapple plants that grow there. Once you've picked them, all, switch worlds and repeat. When you get full, bank them in the volcano or use a dueling ring to go to Castle Wars and a Glory/House to get back. Then, as you're visting the major allotments, put the pineapples in and shut the bin. It sounds like a ton more work than it really is. You can easily get 60 super composts going in about 10 minutes, if that. Better than wasting tons of money/time. Not to mention that you get 36.5 xp for making/applying supercompost compared to 16 xp from the spell.
  19. Not really; you can easily impose a limit on it...something like you can't go through the rift if you haven't completed at least that portion of the quest or the entire quest. The law rift has limits that you can't wear weapons or armor, so that probably can be done. Plus, the altar's so close that it doesn't matter all that much... Anyways, it's probably because it would mean a major re-design of the area; Jagex probably didn't even think there would be a new type of rune coming out when they made the abyss... Off-topic: Ever wonder if the creators ever put in characters that look like them irl?
  20. Elvarg is the Green Dragon you face in Dragon Slayer...
  21. A ton of people find them useful, but I really don't. After I wrap up my research, I will add a few portions onto the guide, including one on farming herbs.
  22. Adam, you know what's odd? While you were posting that, I was actually testing out Salarin the Twisted. I forgot to post the magic and melee XP gained, but I did keep track of how many of each herb I got. In 1 hour, these are the herbs I got. Note that I am 57 herblore: Tarromin: 5 Harrlander: 14 Ranaar: 17 Irit Leaf: 8 Avantoe: 6 Kwuarm: 6 Torstol: 5 Other Unids: 4 (Forgot to Count These...) At 57 Herblore, I would get 5,442 XP. At 60 Herblore, I would get 5,517 XP. At 75 Herblore, I would get 5,592 XP. At 78 Herblore, I would get 6,467 XP. At 79 Herblore, I would get 7,023 XP. I did not count the unids towards any of these values. Not exactly mind-blowing... I think I'll do this section next instead of the two mentioned above.
  23. Thank you all! Keep up the spelling corrections and the tips--I need as many of both of them as I possibly can! I will be doing the "Levels 82+" and the "Who Buys What Pots" portions of the guide, to help you recognize what to make and who to sell to. Again, I'm 57 Herblore, so I will probably need some real help making the best guide I can. Because I'm not the most qualified to make this guide, I might get a few facts wrong sometimes; but with determination, effort, and plenty of support, I will finally finish this behemoth post. Thanks for the support! :D BTW, Dimension Z is off of Star Fox 64...must've mixed the two up. Getting a medal in that thing was one of the hardest things I ever did. :?
  24. Just went from 60-68 from smelting and smithing steel plates this week. It's 60, most definately.
  25. Please note that this is just the beginning. I will add a ton more once I'm finished. BTW, just added the "Making A Vial" portion of the guide! EDIT1: Also added the "Jungle Potion" portion of the guide! EDIT2: NEW! "Eadgar's Ruse" portion has been added! EDIT3: Alright! I got the "Fairy Tale II: Cure A Queen" portion of the guide down! EDIT4: Last Update for the Night: Levels 63-80. Tongiht I have edited my post 46 times and churned out almost 10 pages of information (according to Microsoft Word). If I don't hit the limit, more will be coming soon. Again, do you guys really want me to finish off the bandwidth and add some pictures to this?
