  1. One more defence level and you can upgrade to Royal D'hide. Both Black D'hide and Royal D'hide's GE prices are very small (2-3 full rune helm drops should easily cover it).
  2. Banned for using an angry version of Fenniken as your avatar, the original version is much better. (Why do I always pick your avatar? No idea... probably because you change very regularly? :S)
  3. If you need any help in the game with regards to getting around, things to do, equipment advice etc, you can try me too. I am very bad at "where is the best place to train?" type questions though. Actually, just join the TIF official friends chat ("Serpent Eye"), you'll find most of us on there often, as well as some of the more knowledgeable players like Baraqiel, Gwynrwyn, etc. Even Pingouin can't leave us :P
  4. Only if you already have Warpriest, it is not worth getting it just for DT. If you see yourself using the armor for other things, then sure, get the Warpriest, otherwise, I see it same as Void: Worth using if you have it, don't bother if you don't.
  5. I'd say Judges and Oxheads are mandatory as they are part of your end-game crew, they shine especially and specifically during Trio missions. Nope, there is no way to individually upgrade your crew except for the captain, so it's roll of the dice (no pun intended). Also, sold Vamp two days ago for 551k ins.
  6. Sorry I couldn't make it, it would have been like 5am here and I have work... Congratulations!
  7. The pick is supplied during that fight, but it's only a rune pick, so only bring it if you have Dragon or Imcando Pick. You will need magic for certain though, because Dagannoth mother V2 requires you to have at least Fire or water spells to be killed (unless you can kill her with Balmung before she does the switching, which I doubt is possible). Anti Fire also not needed because elvarg is a very rare occurence and she should be able to be killed even with your stats lowered. I also recommend using magic or ranged as your primary damage dealer. Less running around, especially VS Nomad (you'll still probably need some melee off hand for PQ though). Other than that, nothing currently in the tower is actually that challenging (even Nomad is nowhere near what it once was).
  8. I remember that being a much bigger problem in F2P (F2P community is much more vicious, I'll admit) than P2P back then though. I do remember there has been complaints against 'PC products' back in ~2005.
  9. I miss the people I know. I do not miss the actual game itself one single bit. If they came back to 07RS and played on that, I would have played 07 RS, but they didn't, ergo there is no reason for me to go back there at all whatsoever.
  10. People, nothing else. As I have a saying, I'd do anything to go back to RS in 2007, but I will not play 07 RS.
  11. I am glad I got them during BoL, as that means I won't have the Warpriest junk hogging my drops.
  12. damn, was about to vote for Charmander
  13. Forum name should be fine (I think that's name I am usually credited with). Oh btw, "hardened Geyser" isn't actually called that (It's still called Lava Geyser), but I used it to distinguish before and after cooling down.
  14. Here is every information I have gathered regarding the newest Imcando Pickaxe: In order to wield the Pickaxe, you need to have 60 attack (same as dragon weapons). To use it as a pickaxe, you must have 81 mining or higher. You must also have completed Birthright of the Dwarves to make and wield the pickaxe. The components required to make the pickaxe are: Imcando Pickaxe Fragmens 1, 2, 3 & 4 Gilded Dragon Pickaxe (the pickaxe may be either as an item or on the toolbelt, with latter taking priority over the former, but it MUST be gilded). 1 million GP 1 Redberry Pie. Take these items to Thurgo near the Blurite cavern and he will make it for you. The Imcando Pickaxe has three effects, one which is independent of the other: 1. The inherent 'always on no matter what' effect: when mining any ores, there is 1/4 chance that the ore is destroyed and gives you smelting xp same as you would get if you smelted the ore. So for example, if you mined Mithril, and it gets destroyed, you will also get 30 smithing XP. If Coal was destroyed, it yields 18 XP. If gold is destroyed, goldsmith gauntlets will also affect the smithing experience (IE 22.5XP without gauntlets, 56.2XP with). 2. The second 'this thing eats charges' effect: when mining anything, you will automatically get 20% extra exp per ore, at a cost of 1 charge per ore. I do not have any information whether extra ores generated by Varrock armor consumes additional charges, but I will update here as soon as I do. The pickaxe comes with 100 charges. This bonus xp is also boosted by the mining outfit, but is unaffected by other % XP boosts. 3. Pick quality: The pickaxe works better than Dragon Pickaxe while inside Lava Flow mines, and works exactly like Dragon Pickaxe outside of Lava Flow Mines. In order to obtain the fragments, you must go into the Lava Flow mines and wait for a Lava Geyser to appear. When it appears, it will be randomly placed in the mine, and a chat message will warn you of the fact. The Lava Geyser must first be cooled down by using any Water or Ice spells on it (abilities will work as long as auto cast is set to either type of spell), no other forms of damage will damage it. The Geyser has 30,000 health, and when it is 'killed', it solidify into a column of rock. This will allow you to mine it. The Geyser can be mined 31 times in total (counted accross all players), and anyone who participated in the mining, even if it is just 1 hit, will receive a fragment. You do not need to damage it before hand to obtain credit for it. The geyser will last for 31 hits, and every hit yields 500 xp (For a total of 15,500 xp per geyser) The geyser looks like this: After cooling down: The big column of rock in the middle of lava to the left is the cooled geyser. The fragments are dropped in order of 1, 2, 3, 4. Once you have all 4 fragments, you can then take it to Thurgo and have it made. When making the pickaxe out of the one in your belt, your belt will be replaced by an Iron Pickaxe. Also if you have a Gilded Dragon Pickaxe in both inventory and Toolbelt, he will use the one in your toolbelt over the one in your inventory. To recharge your Imcando Pickaxe, simply mine the hardened Geyser and it will be recharged. Note, the pickaxe can only hold 100 charges, regardless of how charges you started with when you recharged it. Also, when there is an Imcando Pickaxe in your inventory, you cannot obtain anymore fragments. When there is no Imcando Pickaxe in your inventory, you will always get a fragment after mining the geyser, regardless of whether or not if you have any fragments on you or any fragments or Imcando Pickaxe in your bank. I am posting this here first, there are some more information I am on the process of finding out: 1. Whether the fragments have any use after obtaining the pickaxe, as far as I know you cannot have more than 1 pickaxe at the same time. 2. Whether the pickaxe will work like a pickaxe against TzTok-Ket-Dill. I have heard Dominion Tower version works, but no confirmation for the Elder Kiln version. Any images I posted here are free to be used by the Tip It Crew team and webside, anyone else will require my prior permission EDIT: Turns out Gold Smithing Gauntlets do not boost the XP for destroying gold ores, so it is still only 22.5 XP per gold ore
  15. It's merely an inbetween weapon, it's still better than Dragon Claw off hand he is using.
  16. If you have Chaotic Claws, then you do NOT need all 3 styles. Chaotic Claws will hit well enough on all melee weak monsters that getting other styles just for the matching styles is simply not worth the time. The tokens are better spent on things like Charming Imp, Bone Crusher, Herb scroll, etc, since those will give you long term benefits as well as completely unmatched in their effects. Chaotic weapons become obsolete the minute you buy a better weapon. Bottomline: Chaotic weapons should serve only as in between weapon, therefore you should not waste time trying to get all chaotic weapons, because it will, at the end of the day, be completely wasted effort once you obtain better weapons, especially true for melee weapons. If you can, upgrade your off hand claw to Enhanced Excalibur, you'll need Hard seers tasks done though (you do NOT need the elite seers task).
  17. Banned because I feel like it, and you just happen to be there for me to Ban
  18. Just re-read your question, I just realised that you asked what we missed the most, oops! lol The part I miss the most: while strict correlation is not applicable in English, at least the words in English pronounce as they are spelt. Chinese? Good luck, it is not remotely possible to even begin correlating each word with a pronounciation (hence why learning SpokenChinese and Written Chinese can only be done completely separately). This makes Chinese very tricky to learn compared to even other Asian (Japanese and Korean for example have Alphabet like system, and it is written as it is pronounced). Also, "a" (as in a leg, a ship, etc), is very generic in English, in Chinese every noun has its own 'unit' (like a cup of tea, but it also applies to all countable objects) that must be attached to every object, though there is a rather generic unit, it isn't as generic as English. The verb tenses in other languages, for me though, serves as an obstacle for me learning another language, wasn't arguing that any language is harder lol, when I learned English, it was the only thing I learned the hard way. In fact, I'd say written Chinese is much much harder.
  19. On the process of getting second one myself, my first drop was to replace the one I lost for Imcando (and also an excuse to add it to tool belt :P) The price, I think, has more to do with the fact that there are now two things that completely remove Dragon Pickaxes from circulation, and that the source of the D picks only has D pick as its attraction (unlike Hatchet, which has other worthwhile drops along with it at DKs).
  20. Also, Dragon Battlestaff is currently the only dragon weapon with particle effects. Just got a pickaxe from battlefield today, in 2h, gonna try and get a second one and cash it in.
  21. Doesn't take very long imho. [hide]Exactly. I find it weird though, was hreidmar actually insane and been delusional about the statue since he was young, did he just want to believe it so hard that it became fixed in his memory over time, did he have the gnome or ogre change his memory to give himself more confidence in his plans and rightness, or was the gnome ambassador manipulating him? As far as Grimmson, it seemed like he was willing to support the Red Axe in exchange for removing his guilt. Seemed he'd do anything for that. I also wonder if his actions since he joined the Red Axe came into play with his final decision. Had his memories been returned earlier could he have been saved, or did he doom himself as soon as he killed the dwarf at Berendai?[/hide] How long it takes depends upon a lot of factors. The 4 pieces themselves weren't hard with the scouting chat used, maybe 15 minutes, however if you don't have the gilded pick or any of the gold outfit, I could see it taking a while. [hide] The Gnome ambassador is definitely a huge loophole, but there is still Glouphrie line that has not yet concluded, so we may get some answers there, even though we may not be happy with it. Regardless, it wouldn't surprise me if Hreidmar is being manipulated, he was already in a very weak state of mind, a simple promise of Keldagrim throne is probably enough to make him into a puppet. And at very least a test subject. Perhaps we will see Chaos Gnomes or even Chaos Warped creatures? Who knows.... Grimsom: Remove guilt, probably not, but desensitise himself so he no longer feels it at all, I am very inclined to believe that. The phrase "Battle not with monsters, lest ye become a monster, and if you gaze into the abyss, the abyss gazes also into you." He may not have become a monster from 1 accident (friendly fire is all but certain in times of war), but he may saw that mistake as something greater, and... turned him to the dark side. [/hide]
  22. It struck me that : [hide] Hreidmar knows he is the rightful heir to the Keldagrim throne, because he is a descendant of the last ruler of Keldagrim, and he has been overly obsessed with that dream (evident in that his own Palace in the red axe HQ is an exact replica of the Keldragim one, completely with his own statue), and that he actually have been making up he is in service of and has the blessing of Zamorak (possibly due to Chaos Dwarves being associated with them), and ends up being completely disillusioned. This is evidenced by his memory sequence that Zamorak never associated with him in his memory, he all dreamt it up, perhaps to keep him going for all these years Grimsom on the other hand was directly engaged in the Battle of Barendai, and he somehow got so bloodthirsty that he struck down one of his own. Accident or not, that moment made him see what he has become, and instead of making amends, he accepted it, and moved down the road he can never turn back, and plunged himself in darkness and guilt. I don't think he was never pro-red axe, but just that he knows he can never be keldagrim again. Lastly, The Ogre, just an unfortunate victim of circumstance, and eventually became a pawn of Hreidmar. [/hide] Doesn't take very long imho.
  23. What weapons and armor were you using? Zammy hybrid (from BoL), arma staff, curses and ancients. Try something a bit more tanky? Like Ganodermics or Seasingers?
