  1. just pure melee would do the trick. I used no pots, full melee armor and some tuna potatos. i beat her in 6 tuna potato's. roughly 90 combat i beat her with.
  2. i'd recommend Fishing Monkfish, you might burn them a lil, but the end product is far more useful than lobbies.
  3. the exact odds i am not sure, but here is a tip, try and find a place where there are ONLY leeches. I know it could be hard, but try and find such a place, and stay there. Leeches are fast and they dont hurt too much.
  4. You can do it, but at more expense than one would like. I suggest that: Either: 1. Complete Family Crest and get Chaos Gauntlets (which is possible with the use of Wizard mind bomb), and use Fire Bolt. You will do the same damage as if were using Earth Blast. This should save you some money. Or 2. Get 55 Slayer and at least 70 magic. This would be the most ideal way to do barrows, as you use the least amount of prayer, and you do not need to buy any extra runes. Tips: 1. Get your prayer up so you can store more prayer at the beginning of every trip (i consider the runs in between bank trips as 1 trip, although everytime you loot a chest is a 'run') 2. Get your defence up high so you can mage Guthan and Torag in Melee armor, so you save P pots. 3. As high range as possible for Dragonhide armor and killing Ahrim as fast as possible, so you dont waste food. Level does not reflect how well your character can do in barrows (same with fire cape), it is the stats that are more important. Throw melee out of the window unless you are combat 110+, it will not be effective enough (even with Whip. at very high combats you can consider Verac's set).
  5. Lletya is pretty near too, and the teleport is extremely cheap (50gp per teleport >.<)
  6. Divide your Mage level by 10, round it down, and add 10, thats the Magic Dart's Max Damage. So if you are 99 mage, its 19, but if you potted to 102, then it's 20. For you, its the same as Fire Blast, at 70, its Air Wave. at 80, it's Water Wave, at 90, its Earth Wave. at 100, its Uncharged God spell or fire wave.
  7. once you leave via a rift to an altar, yes.
  8. If it was, it would have been reported as a bug, because it would be too strange for people to stand IN the ladder.
  9. f2p for p2p? Iron is THE ore to powermine, all others are too slow to be effective ways to train. F2p: Scorpion mines, Dwarven mines or lv 5 Wilderness in the Steel Mines. Just dont bring anything but a pick, and you wont lose anything. p2p: East Ardougne, Port Khazard Mine or Dorgeshuun Mine (the last requires both Lost Tribe completed, AND the access to the Culinaromancer's chest)
  10. Attack 79 Str 76 Def 77 HP 81 (155 points from 82...) Would these stats be good for Dharoking? If yes, what would be good choices? I am thinking Ape Atoll because it's the safest there, or the Elves in Lletya. P.S. I want to keep my 97 combat :(
  11. Which part unlocks the banking in the chest? Thank you anyway, i didn't know that chest could serve as a bank. Either after giving the Chef the ingredients he asked for, or you have saved 1 council member, which i think its the latter. both are pretty easy to do.
  12. I know the chaos gaunts work because i used when i didnt have 55 slayer way back when con wasnt out :P Edit: here are some advice stats for you that would help you save your money: 1. Get your ranged up, 60 at least, but 70 to be ideal so you can use the best ranger top and bottom, so you dont HAVE to pray Ahrim 100%. At my stats, I use all my leftover prayer on ahrim, and i dont refill it. Makes runs cheaper. 2. Get your Mage up to about 70 if you can, this will allow you to cast on the brothers with less fails, this will also save p pots and runes. If you decide to get 55 slayer however, 70 mage is MINIMUM you should get, 80 to be good, because Slayer Dart's damage increases with Mage level (it's 10 + {Mage Level / 10}, where the number in the brackets are rounded down) 3. Get your defence to lv 70, so you can wear Torag's Armor, this way you can avoind praying on Guthan and Torag, saves you more P pots. 4. Finally, if your tunnel brother is a melee one (Dharok, Verac, Guthan or Torag), then go to my guide in my siggy, saves even more p pots.
  13. 5 times 5+4+3+2=14, 14*180k = 2520k you need to spend to get C bow down to 180k charges IF you are doing it by recharging C Bows, for C Shields however, it is 14*150k= 2100k, although the time taken to get C Shield down is a lot longer than c bows.
  14. If you cant use Slayer Dart, Fire blast is a complete waste of unnecessary money. Because it only deals 1 more damage over Fire Bolt with Chaos Gauntlets, and it doesnt kill all that much faster either, so stick to Fire Bolts if you cant use Slayer Dart. If you are not using full Verac's, you can forget about Meleeing ANYTHING except getting your Kill Count up. Mage is the most effective way to kill the barrow brothers, INCLUDING the ranger, because his magic def is still useless with all his gear. He might be a LITTLE harder to hit, but you will still own him.
  15. Terrorbirds in the Gnome Stronghold i think has the highest HP for birds, and yes they do count too.
  16. I barrow A LOT, so yes you could have seen me, I wear Verac's Armor nowadays. Not to my knowledge, because there is a difference bewteen invisible and hidden. The ladders in this case are hidden rather than invisible. I could try it, and if it works, it would make Barrows TOO easy IMO.
  17. Rune essence can only be used to make Air, Mind, Water, Earth, Fire and Body runes, all other runes require Pure Essence to bind. Pure essence can only be obtained on a MEMBER server, and have lv 30 mining when you are mining for essence. In which all essence you mine are pure essence. you can only mine normal essence on free servers. There is no difference in the number of runes between the essences, only the cost.
  18. 3 prayer levels, though do try and get it up to 64, gives you a bit more room when up against jad.
  19. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=462229 please be patient for some1 with reply Next time, please: 1. Search Button is on the top of the screen 2. ALL questions to the Help & Advise Board
  20. what sort of insane luck you got there joseph, 3 d meds in 50 runs?! thats brilliant! By the way, for those who are thinking of using these spots, please do watch your HP, because in order to spawn the brother, you might have to spawn an army around the ladder, sure they are not that lethal because its not multicombat, they can still do damage. Especially for lower levels, be careful. EDIT : Added an extra note to explain why these spots are useful.
  21. Dont forget to take into the account that you need less food when you are training with barrow armor, because of their better stats. Take D Med to be 600k, D legs to be 2.4m, and D Chain to be 18m, thats 21m total. Torag's (for the sake of argument) costs 2m, so you need to spend 19m on repairs before it overtakes dragon. 19m /230k (per repair) = 82 repairs. 82 repairs = 1239 hous of usage. 1239 * 60k xp (on average) = 74m exp, which takes you all the way from 1 attack, 1 str and 1 def to 99 attack, 99 defence and 99 strength. Therefore, Barrow armor are cheaper, hands down.
  22. I dont think he is set to spawn at a particular door, because double brothers between different doors were observed over the course of barrow history (best record was 4 Dharoks over 2 doors i think). I have also experienced a brother spawning at 2 different places, 1 in a side tunnel, and the other near the chest.
  23. I wouldnt say its bug abuse, because its technically not a bug, rather a technical side effect. Because they dont want people to see people standing in ladders :P
  24. these spots work exactly like any spot, they would work horizontally too, It was just coincidence that they are all aligned north/south. You can shoot them east to west as well.
