I'm pretty sure you don't need the key anymore. You also don't need to mess with the valves again (assuming you left them in the right positions), but you do need to get another mushroom, which is the worst part of going through the mine.

Suqahs are the only other ones I can think of. That's where only one or two kinds of herbs are dropped by a monster, Zaaps is talking about monsters that drop rare herbs MORE OFTEN than other monsters (Though I can't think there's any hard data to prove that). Technically, getting nothing but kwuarm (in the case of fever spiders) or only guam and marrentill (in the case of suqahs) is certainly a case of getting certain herbs more often than others.
Make the following moves, where each move describes the direction in which you move a piece: left, left, up, right, down, down, left, up right, up. If I did that right in my head, that should line up the two pieces you need so you can see how to move them into the right positions.
Wow then turmoil is kind of disappointing if you can't use deflect with it. Thanks btw Sorry I screwed up with the last one. For some reason I was thinking about turmoil with the sap and leech curses. You can use it with deflect or soul split.
1. From my one test that I did after completing the quest yesterday, it seems that the deflect curses have about the same drain rate as the protect prayers, perhaps being slightly slower. I put on protect from magic for a minute and then deflect magic for a minute with no prayer bonus. Protect from magic used 19 prayer points and deflect magic used 18 prayer points. Of course, that difference could be due to error on my part, which is why I hesitate to say the curses drain slower. 6. They are exactly the same. 7. No. Don't know about the rest.
Your levels are more than enough for the fight caves. It will most likely take you a few tries to get the hang of prayer switching, which is essential when fighting jad because it can one-hit just about any player if you don't have the right prayer on.
There is always a way to get quest items back if you need them for something. You might have to repeat the process you did originally to get the items or you might be able to get from by talking to a certain person. The items database should have all the information you need on that.
Glories only improve odds of getting gems as tht added extra when mining. They don't boost mining speed at gem rocks. This is the second item in the DYK archives.
In 50/50 games, the players all agree to let one team win half the rounds and the other team win the other half. This way, everyone gets 540 tokens per game. IMO, they're good for people who are learning GOP, but once you get good, regular games are better.
The most important thing right now is to set small goals. If you want to do quests, focus on the requirements for one quest at a time, so you don't feel so overwhelmed. For magic, what I did when I was low-level was make air and mind runes and cast strike spells on imps and goblins. That was years ago, though, so there might be better methods now (not to mention I didn't know what I was doing half the time back then). Also, don't forget places where you can get free magic exp, like the circus and FoG.
