PCing- Immoral?
First thing, it looks like you have all those "easy" skillcapes yourself too.. Here we can see an excellent example of a guy who wants to push his ego up with his skillcapes. Everyone in this game has a permit to do whatever they want according to the rules set by jagex. Getting a "cheap" skillcape is everyones own decision and I respect it. Like do you think if some newcomer wears bronze armours, he is a totally jerk becouse looking like he haven't put any effort to it? Most people wear their skillcapes becouse it's achievement to them, not everyone can play this game as much as you do and set as hard goals as you. If I would have 99 stat I would wear the skillcape with pride, no matter what anyone thinks. I would wear it just for me, to remember myself what I can do. Like it seems you can't really take it this is a game, not a work.. You don't honestly need anyones respect to make this game fun. It seems like all you think is what other people think about you. I wouldn't care less if someone had better stats than I do.. Instead of you I give my respect to everyone as a human and by their personality, not by the skills they got. It's mad I would have so many things to critisize about players like you, who think they are somehow upper class to other players, just becouse they have higher combat and total, but becouse this is public forum I rather not tell everything I feel. This gone pretty much offtopic, so to the PC. In my opinion it's good thing to have. I like to change between things I do like, PC - Slayer - Barrows.. Really, most of the people who call PC cheap and stuff, are the ones who get too bored to it after one game, and after that they keep calling it cheap and wrong way to level. And they rather afk train at axehut or something.. To sum up my thoughts, I think all of you guys who call Pest Controllers noobs, should think again. PC has been added to the game by jagex, and it's nothing like dishonourable to use. You have the same opportunities to go and play PC if you want, it's not an advantage to some people, it's advantage to everyone. I really like how some of you like Hohto and Aquaschok told your opinion about it, nice texts, really. =D> Just like pc made combat easier, cooking, fletching and thieving have been made alot easier, and used to be very hard to level aswell, and i was one of the people who got 99 cooking and flethcing without fletch/cook x, and as a skiller, why not level all skills. And my point is, there is nothing to be proud about pc-ing your way to lvl 126, it used to be an achievement, but now, it is just too easy. Looks like you haven't even tried PC ever.. It's not easy, it still takes thousands and thousands of games to get 99 there, it might be a bit easier but it's not easy. And it is an achievement, really. Try yourself get even 100 points and see how boring it actually is. what is more boring, being at undead beings in rsc and gaining 17k attack experiance an hour or slashing away at a place where you cant die and gain 130k attack experiance an hour? i have done a fair bit of pc-ing on my noob, and it is dead-easy. 1) you dont gain 130k xp an hour, i rarely broke 100k an hour dividing the xp i gained every 2 hours in half at 98 attack and 99 str Combat potting every game 2) deciding what is 'more boring' is up to each person, not to you. For people who say these new players, who just got a 99 cant feel proud because they got the 99 with pest control, Why should YOUR all nighters, and your early mornings mean more than ours? We acknowledge that you did work significantly harder than us, but that still does not give you the right to put yourself on a pedistal over everyone else and hold it over our heads saying, " I got this before you, when it was hard!" If a man builds a house with a hammer and nails alone, when he is done, he has a right to be proud. If a man builds a house alone 10 years later with a nailgun, your saying that he does not have the same right? High levels with that attitude will die out, by quitting or conforming. Its happened in history, and it will repeat itself here. If you want to live in the past, go play RSC, im sure it wont update.

PCing- Immoral?
Correct. Comparing it to something in my life, its like the people on the other side of town looking down on me because of where I live. My family works just as hard as any other family, and when it doesnt make anyone better than us, or worse than us, as long as they EARN IT. Putting yourself on a pedistal over everyone else because you earned a stat before them doesnt make you look good, it doesnt make you any better than anyone else. Putting yourself over others justifies you as a jerk. And sabre, if you read this, your sig is wrong, you got your maxed melee when people cared, not when it mattered.

60-80k an hour isn't blisteringly fast?! Did you ever play RSC? 15k an hour was blistering fast on RSC. I got all 100 combat on RSC at 10-15k xp an hour and 99 melee stats at the start of rs2 before barrows, ape atoll, slayer, whips, dragon scimmies, PC or any of that crap. I never got more than 30k an hour and you say 80k an hour isn't blistering fast?! Same thing with range. I got 70 range on classic and 97 range at the start of rs2 with a bow and arrows. Combat is supposed to be hard. Cooking was just as fast as it is now on classic. Combat should not be a 100k an hour skill and it is RIDICULOUS that you can get 99 range and 99 mage without firing a bow/casting a spell. I despise PC. It was Jagex's biggest mistake by far and is the main reason I feel like quitting this game. In terms of RSC to RS2, I completely agree with you. There's literally no counterargument to your post. However, my post is in current day comparison. People NOW feel like slayer leveling to PC leveling is imbalanced, and I don't agree with that notion at all. In responce, there is no wya to compare how slow RSC leveling was to anything within RS2 to make it seem fair. I would know; I was there. Well when I train slayer I get at the most 50k an hour. And that is constantly potting so that my att and str are 113-118 and with the maximum offencive bonuses and slayer mask. PCers my level get double that xp. So I would say it's unbalanced. You don't have to compare RSC to RS2 to see how insane PC/slayer are. At the start of RS2 the maximum offencive stats you could get were +81 slash and +79 strength. That was with a slow dragon long. Now you can get +133 slash and 111 strength with the ultra fast whip. And if you do slayer you can get the 15% effects of the black mask and still have +128 slash. Seems odd that when i train slayer i can break 70k exp an hour (certainly not at gargs, or high def monsters, but at bloodveld, dusties, ect) Im assuming you have 99 att and str, with the insane boosts your talking about, why cant you break 50k xp an hour? And pcers, even in a fast clan, cant break 100k xp an hour, its 95k tops, and thats MY top, with 99 str and 98 attack in a game a minute pc clan. Do you get 70k an hour average over a few hours with several tasks? No, you get it on the best task of the day (e.g. nechs). PC can be played over and over again, no crap tasks, no switching in burthorpe. If you played for 5 hours that "mere" 95k would be 475k where as if you did 5 hours of slayer you would never get 350k. You said the MOST you get is 50k an hour. And id like to restate that, because at lvl 98 you get 176k xp per 100 points, bonus included, you can break 100k an hour, but thats my top without combat potting. Anyway, i dont see why it should matter what way you get them, you earn them. If you want to stay in some area fighting the same monster for less exp, then you can. I dont see why you should quit a game which is ment for enjoyment because other people play a minigame. I dont see why people think they are better than anyone else because they got their levels 'pre-pc'. I thought it was obvious I meant an average. PC is consistent xp an hour so why compare the best task when slayer is so uneven? I didn't think someone would miss the point as badly as you did. :? Once again you've totally missed the point. I didn't have the choice to "If you want to stay in some area fighting the same monster for less exp, then you can" because pest control WASN'T out. I can't be bothered to argue with someone who can't understand basic points. I'm not going to bother posting again. I have better things to be getting on with. So you insult me, being dyslecsic, then you leave. Way to set an example oh master of combat, seeing as you are far better than anyone with your stats. I honestly hope people like you quit. We have all heard this argument hundreds of times. PC isnt going to change, and even if it does, there will be other updates that give more experience, that let you hit higher, and hit more than you did in classic. So i honestly hope you have better things to do, go live in the past.

[/hide] People think they are better because they did more effort for it, a man who build his house alone will think it's a better achievement then someone who did it with 3 other people. But, why should he hover over one of the three and announce it over and over again that he is better than him because he did it alone. When honestly, it would take him longer, being less efficient. This argument is getting old, anyone who got any stat before an update uses it as a signature saying "im better than you because i got a stat up when it was hard to level"

Do you get good drops at PC? Do you get xp to slayer there? Does pc open you the doors to the world of abyssal whip and dark bow drops? If you want the fastest xp, go to pc. If you want something else, then do that. 1k per game adds up. And anyway, whips and dark bows are almost worthless- who cares? 1k per game adds up maxing combat stats to what, over 20mil cash? While say the 30+ whips youd get maxing melee or the few dark bows you would get from dark beasts fighting might be deamed worthless by you, to someone who wants them, it is worth quite a bit.

He was obviously comparing it to fletching (before the string update) where you could get 200k+ xp per hour, and cooking. And people talking of gaining so many combat/skill levels a day are people who are training a skill from 30 to whatever level. @ 13lister, I thought you had to have 30 in a skill to use pest control points for it, and your only 57 defense, which would leave you with 27 levels, only taking 190k experience. You could have gotten that without pest control in a day. You people are forgetting, points involved, you get 80k exp an hour, people with dharoks can break 100k, 150k, some people even say 200k exp an hour. With the salve ammy i can break 100k an hour. PC is NOT the fastest xp for melee in the game.

PCing- Immoral?
You can always pc hitpoints, its not like it even matters anyway. If people want low hp, then let them. The only way their HP should bother you is if your pking, or staking them. On the topic of being boring, I personally would rather run around kill portals rather than fight a monster thousands of times for experience. And finally, i dont see how a minigame, in a game, can be immoral in any sense.

JaGeX's New Poll Too Hard?
It was almost a failure, being a not so tech savy person, i did answer "I dont know" for most of them. The only thing id guess they are doing with it would be and update to the graphics engine, which would go with those high def looking pictures that were spotted in the KB not too long ago.

*!* Post your best Specials *!*
My personal highest spec was on a pker, and is a 36 37 with a dds, followed by a 34 27 for a whip :D That was with max str bonus at the time (defender) but with a fury Anyway, the highest hit with a dds anyone can see is twenty fourr's signature on runescapecommunity, of him hitting a 39 38.

Very unlikely but...37-37 dds spec with 99 strength+super potted+prayer+vengeance+dragon shield fire=massive pain. a 39 39 is already possible Think of a 40 40

You can always pc hp during, before, or after getting your goal. 400 points to str, then do 100 to hp. Mabey its 300 to str per 100 to hp, i cant remember.

Am I out of my mind to want Slayer exp and drops that CANNOT be obtained at PC? I think not. Anyway, D scimmy on slayer tasks. Slayer Exp and an extra super pure set . I said nothing about slayer exp or drops, this is simply the fastest xp possible. Just remember, people usually do 2k+ pc points for 99 str, being around 100 combat, you get 100k per 100 points. Its something to make up for your lost time pcing.

*!* Slayer Task = Better Drops *!*
I kinda thought of this about 6 months ago. After getting 66k chaos from barrows, I decided to go to steels rather than make 2 furys, thinking that ill get more money off them. Well, after 60k chaos it turned out that it indeed did NOT turn me any profit. Thats god knows how many kills without a single dragon drop. Afterwords, i went to irons for a 15 iron drag assignment that i got before the update to metal drag assignments ( the one where you get more than 20) and i got 2 d legs, within 3 kills. So yeah, that and alot of other situations make me think its true.

Combat triangle outdated and useless?
Well, all 3 sides of the triangle are getting more powerfull weapons, and with them, it throws the triangle more and more out of wack. Recently, mages and melee had an advantage over melee, due to lack of power, with their best PKing weapon being Karils bow for pure power, and msb for specing power. With the new dark bow, rangers now have enough power to compete with the other combat styles. So in a since it is balanced right now, as in no one combat style is stronger than another. Melee have the dds and whip, mages have ice barrage, and rangers have the dark bow. And since pking with them all (yes, ive seen the dark bow used in action with dragon arrows, and it is VERY usefull for KOing) i can say its fairly even as with people pking with mage/range and mage/melee and a few mage/range/melee hybrids.
-
~!~Strength Training?~!~
For anyone saying ANYTHING other than pest control, your out of your mind. It is the single fastest way to train any stat, whether you dharok at pc, use a scim at pc, or use the beserker necklace with and obby weapon at pc. Your gonna get more xp per hour at pc. But aside from that, killing ankou, shades, or any other undead monster (you might want to try tarlins lair) with the salve ammy (e) for the 20% for increased experience for not only str, but attack and defense as well.

facts about dark bow
Reading this thread, I was in the process of coming up with a counterargument, about to compare the dark bow with the dds in KOing power, and how the max 39 39 with a dds has rarely been hit, and from what ive seen never been on a vid. This pic blew my argument out of the water. #-o I give, it owns.
