  1. Oh, my bad. I read your post wrong. You're in Varrock talking to Straven, which is the gang leader there. If there are any more options, have you asked him about all of them?
  2. Yes, like experiments. Just not as ugly and with half the HP.
  3. And you can also check out this sticky, which will tell you all about it.
  4. Ok, so you're the one that has to range the guy? I was in the Black Arms gang.. so I'm not totally clear on this info. But methinks you have to run through the yard splitting the pub and the mansion (the one with the dog in it), and wait in the room. Your parnter (the Black Arms member) lures the guy in there and you shoot 'im down. But you haven't gotten that far yet, have you? Are you positive that you talked to your gang leader back in Varrock? That is the most obvious situation I'm seeing right now.
  5. How often you hit is based upon your actual attack level. The higher it goes, the more often you'll hit. Strength controls how hard you hit, meaning that with higher strength also comes higher possible hits. And defense as you know controls how often you get hit.
  6. Mostly 1-defense pures use them because they can get lots of experience off them because of their 50 HP, and the crabs can't hit them that hard nor often. Good for others who just want combat experience and don't care about the drops. That's why people train there so often.

It's not slow, per say. It just seems that way because your experience goes up slower for each skill, but overall it's going up the same as if you were just training one skill. The levels will take longer to get, but they'll come all at once or near to it.
  8. I think he means Straven as in one of the gang members. The miscelaneous key you get is from the guy inside the mansion, the one you have to kill.
  9. Did you talk to the Gang leader back in Varrock? You have to do that first if you haven't.

Yes, if you want to gain experience in attack, strength, and defense. I trained on control with a whip for quite some time.
  11. The Fire Giant Cave waaay out in the wild is not a good place to bring a cannon, at all. Stick with Brimhaven.
  12. The cannon requires Dwarf Cannon, that's it. And I don't think that's the quest he meant. But it is Brimhaven Dungeon that you can safespot them without a quest. Just bring 875 gp for entry into the dungeon, and a woodcutting axe. Once in, head through until you get near the entrance to the metal dragons. There should be 3 fire giants that spawn in one general area. Set up your cannon in the middle of them, go around two steps toward the moss giants, and stand there. You should be fine... just pick up your drops as ya get 'em and there we go!
  13. Just stock up on 100+ sets of the clothes, and then finish it. Hopefully you never run out of clothes, or else you'd have to buy them...
  14. Don't think so.... try it yourself and find out.
  15. And, to add on to Harrington's post, there is no limit on how many logs you can get. Until you dig up the tree roots with your spade, you'll be able to keep cutting the tree.
  16. I would suggest skipping them at your level. If you really want to do the task, then hit up Karamja with a lobster pot and a woodcutting axe... you'll need lots of food.
  17. For Moss Giants, go to the Brimhaven dungeon. Bring along 875 gold (905 if you're coming from Ardougne or Port Sarim), and a disposable woodcutting axe. Right near the entrance is a room that spawns two moss giants. When you kill one, the other one should be already respawned or close to it.
  18. Just whenever they get around to reading your message. Expect a 1-5 day response time... but can be shorter or longer.
  19. After you've got the hides tanned, head over to the Crafting Shop (Al Kharid, Falador) and buy a few needles (they can break) and lots of thread. Use the needle on the tanned cowhide, you'll get an interface, and pick which one you want to make. Easy as that!
  20. Yep, as said before, you need patience and luck, and for an added touch, a ring of wealth can help. Kill the highest leveled monster you can that drops dragon items to increase your chances. Once you've picked a monster, find a guide on killing it (if any) and find the most cost-effective way.... and startchya killin'!
  21. By getting experience in it? Hm... leather is always a good choice. Right now, you can make leather gloves. Kill the cows outside Lumbridge, bank in the castle, and repeat. Once you've got a fair amount of hides banked (250+), go to Al Kharid and start tanning them. Afterwards, craft them into gloves, boots, cowls, vambraces... whatever is the highest item you can make. That should shoot it up. Later on, you can start mining and/or buying silver and making tiaras. Seems to be a popular method, but rather boring... Hope that helped!
  22. It's all about personal preference. No weapon can really be considered better than another, because each have their strong and weak points. (Excluding comparisons such as bronze daggers vs Whips... be reasonable). But really, you should just test each one out for a little while to see which you prefer. This topic will probably go on and on with flames and "this is faster" and "this is stronger" posts... Don't expect a clear answer anytime soon, seeing as others can't tell you your personal preference.
  23. Hm.. get out that trusty Rune Scimitar and head off to your local Hill Giants. They'd most likely be good for you. Instead of going to the ones in Edgeville Dungeon, find the ones in the Taverly Dungeon instead (west of Falador). That place is usually uncrowded and should be good for combat training and a little bit of prayer on the side. You shouldn't need all that much food either.
  24. Yep, they recently changed this so that you not only get the clue, but a normal drop with it, too! Amazing, huh?!
  25. Nobody likes me anymore =( I'll update the blog later when I get home. This blog is looking a little bare.. postless...
