  1. You can profit with the broad tipped bolts. Buying slayer dart casts is obviously more profitable, but it's always nice to have an extra ability up your sleeve. I bought the helmet first, then blocked the tasks I dislike, then the fletching, rings, and now I have all of my points that I now gain for dart casts. It really just depends on what you feel is most useful for your current situation. Glad to know you got the helmet before the abilities. Happy slaying.
  2. He was on earlier today as well answering some questions. I like the fact that he allows only friends/ranked to talk when he is in there to avoid the spam. I just dislike the chain-message that follows in order to ask a question. Reminds me of an elementary school activity.. I think they called it telephone. I didn't stay too long today as there was a clan event (more important things). It really says good things about Jagex as a company when they are willing to get more personal with the players of the game. Almost daily feedback on questions is a definite bonus. It's almost like having Mod Mmg bugged so we can hear all that he discusses. I just ask that those who use the clan chat.. please do not come in just to spam or act childish. I know it is possible that some people are shy and that is how they get over it.... but I would appreciate you just logout for a moment until you feel that you are capable of acting mature. PS: If you are shy you can come to Forsaken's cc and I'll help you get over it. ;)
  3. Air-ub Doesn't a dictionary show the way to pronounce each word within it?
  4. I couldn't care less what people do as long as they aren't effecting someone other than themselves. If a person wants to sit in their basement and pop pills, than so be it. The minute you leave your house is when I have a problem with you. I don't believe your teacher should be allowed to teach, let alone drive for that matter. If your judgment is impaired, you shouldn't be on the road or working with any type of machinery. As for the use of cannabis, once again, do it in your own home where others can be safe from your poor reaction time and decisions. That is just my opinion on these matters. :

Looks like you had fun at the falls. Is that an alien head on the bunkbed? Wait.. omg! Bunkbeds!
  6. No, I don't consider myself to be sheltered. Even when I was younger I was free to come and go as I pleased, but I didn't take advantage of that opportunity. I chose to do all I could to help out my family, and then if there was free time I would go out.
  7. [hide=] I agree that not all farms slaughter the way the video I posted. I've been to free-range farms and chickens are great animals. We both know the cold truth that a non-corporate farm does not have the capability to produce enough to handle the demand. [/hide] Yes, sadly we can only provide for ourselves and the immediate community. I just needed to vent a little bit. :
  8. I simply don't believe they should be forced to fight to the death. Also, not all farms attempt to overstock on the amount of chickens their facility can maintain. It is mainly larger companies who are greedy and are obviously on in the "business" for the money. I don't even care to refer to these people as farmers, but rather just companies. They continually convince themselves that they can care for even more animals without investing and expanding their facilities. This is why farms should not become corporate affairs. Those without the experience and common sense think that maintaining lives and quality of produce is simply putting food within reach. -sigh- Also, to one of the previous posters; the reason the head is cut off is so that the blood is pumped out of the system by the heart. This prevents the meat from becoming extremely stiff. The nerves still function for a short while without the head, but the life has already ended as the brain is detached; unable to send messages back and forth. Cattle are butchered in a similar way, but due to the lack of an enormous axe or the means to hold them over a chopping block the animal is shot, then the throat is slit, following by being hung upside down. This as with the chicken is so the blood can pump out of the animal to prevent the meat from becoming extremely tough.
  9. You truly are wise. My great grandparents used to drink that, and I would like to believe it was part of the reason they both lived to be 99.
  10. Maybe. Did your village idiot respond to the name "Skippy"? As a matter of fact, yes. Beware, he isn't supposed to be around any objects sharper than an egg.
  11. Wait! How long has he been teaching there? Our town is currently missing our village idiot, maybe he wandered into your school.
  12. Adrenals post gives the just of it. Of course more detail could be added, but you're 14, your body is still growing. Also, Mmmmc's comment of doing your exercises at a slower rate is right on the money. You want each repetition to last around 12 seconds for better results. Going extremely slow or too fast simply won't cut it. As Goddess said, it is very important to eat healthy meals throughout the day. The better your metabolism, the better the results will be. Get the appropriate vitamins that your body requires each day, get a reasonable amount of sleep, and do not forget to drink water. I don't know much about the issue you're having with wrinkly veins on your thighs, but you mention trimming them down so the best advice I can give is to simply use those legs. Cycling and swimming will have a faster effect on them, but not everyone has a pool or lives where they can cycle in the winter. Don't be afraid to jog, or even walk. Every extra bit will help. Situps will simply work for your stomach, but don't be afraid to expand your stomach workout. As for Borris's comment on the muscles disappearing if you miss a day.. don't worry about this. Also, for my stomach I use a technique where I keep my stomach muscles tight at all times. It started with my mom stressing that I should keep my stomach tight while picking large stones in the field when I was younger. I eventually noticed that by doing this I could get the effects of a stomach workout while doing other things, and it worked out areas of my stomach that other routines would miss. I eventually began doing this so often that I no longer even notice myself doing it. A couple years ago I also started this with my chest, but haven't reached the same result yet. So you know, I don't mean flexing stupidly so you look like you're flexing (teeth clenched, spit drooling from your mouth); I just mean keeping your stomach muscles tight. It really helps to sculpt the parts that routines often miss. I hope this is of some help. I'm having trouble explaining everything in a short paragraph, and don't have time to write a manual. Just check out some websites, ask trainers in your local gym, etc.

I sit among friends in the firelight on an especially dark summer night. The dried logs gathered from the nearby pasture crackle and hiss as our fire devours them. We call out to one another louder than usual, reminiscing the past, planning the future. The waves crawl up the sandy shores; attempting to join us by the fire. I tip back my bottle to wash away the salty taste of the sunflower seeds that are being passed around. The cold beer & moist night air work together to send a chill down my spine; only to be replaced by the warmth of the fire. As the night goes on and we feel the effect of our drinks, some of us can't help going for a swim. Once in the cool water the girls are hoisted upon our shoulders like royalty; only to fight like beggars in attempt to knock one another into the water. When the queen of chicken fights is crowned we scramble to the warmth of the fire. One by one we fall asleep, the remaining whispering to one another until they too close their eyes. I know that we will do this again, but can't help but wonder when. When will everyone be free from work? When will the weather agree? All I can do now is patiently endure the winter and wait for the stars to align once more. This is usually followed by us waking up to music still blaring from the trucks, and trip to town for a big breakfast at one "lucky" restaurant. \
  14. I would suggest either keeping it as a cash pile, or investing in your stats. At least in the future they can aid you in making more money. :
  15. The masks should continue to drop. However, I believe the yews should average at around 440gp. It could be that the players cutting of yews is finally making up for what the demand was missing with the removal of nearly all yew-autoers. They will only drop so far, though, since yew long demand will increase if they become more appealing to high alch. I wouldn't really worry about the yews. I believe santas are more stable than masks, but ever since my huge losses in '07 I don't even care to deal with rares anymore. Have fun chopping those trees down. :
  16. 50k xp ? How ? Per event or for all 3 ? Sorry for the late reply. That is for all 3 events combined. I will get slightly more once my agility level is higher. \
  17. I would like to add that if you are unable to collect your reward such as in a situation of needing to logout, or escaping pkers on PvP the Leprechaun will gather it for you. The next time you attempt to chop/fm an Evil tree, the Leprechaun will give you the reward you missed on the prior tree. I noticed that no one said this, so maybe it is a helpful piece of information. :
  18. Sounds interesting. I'm sure the J-mods will have their hands full trying to keep order among the clans.
  19. I disliked the article "The Jagex Tease". I felt that there was far too much whining from this individual and it was as though he/she didn't appreciate what does get done or realize what setbacks could occur. They are working on what is supposedly an entirely new mini-game concept for them, and the 150th quest. Surely it would be alright to allow them to put some time into perfecting these things before the waterworks begin. I did like the other two articles. They were very entertaining and I hope to see more like them.
  20. I'll definitely look back to see what information you acquire, but I'm not sure if I care to give up my free 50k+ xp each week. :o Best of luck figuring out the emotes.
  21. Yeah, I have 251 accounts just to be better than Toast. They could do as you specify, but I doubt many people took a username because they liked it, and then left it on tutorial island. They likely would have at least completed it so they could show it off to a clan chat or two. \
  22. A Jmod, I forget which also mentions that a Dragon Pickaxe will be released in the Q&A from this week (later in the thread). Sadly, no mention of when.
  23. Your setup looks good and your stats can get the job done, although a higher range level would be helpful. I came to tell you that broad bolts are equivalent to Adamant bolts at higher range levels, although I have been told that Addy can potentially hit +1 at lower levels. I am unsure of this because I was 99 range when broad were introduced. I do however see no difference in accuracy between Broad and Adamant bolts. I would personally suggest using Broad bolts & then Diamond (e) for Jad. The Emerald (e) bolts might be wise at lower range levels, since it would be more difficult to accurately hit some of the higher level monsters. Good luck.
  24. Out of those choices, I would definitely choose Prayer. Piety has many uses, and the extra prayer levels also prolong the use of your other prayers. If I remember correctly, 70 prayer is also the level than unlocks the ability to bless another persons grave. Ultimately, it is your decision, though. Have fun. :
  25. I have an excess amount of oak saplings from when I was a lower level, and I don't care to drop them so I am using them. I don't find it to be "illogical" to free my bank space and get some farming experience on the side. This isn't the place to discuss this, though. If you would like you can PM me rather than us spamming up this thread.
