I suggest going with the overlord, too. They're one of the only earlier familiars I remember being decent at all.

If you have 57 summoning, I've heard the using kyatts to teleport near the piscatoris mine and dueling ring to C wars is the fastest way. I haven't personally tested it, though. varrock Armours help a bit, too.

I found ranging them to be a lot faster, but I haven't had them assigned since the update, so I'm not sure. If you do decide to range, a normal anti-dragon shield will be betetr than a DFS, by the way. They have a higher magic defense bonus(-5 to -10 i think), and they don't hurt your range bonus. I'm pretty sure that a normal sheild would be better meleeing too...unless you release the fire a lot.

That may be, but it's not possible to trade more than that to one person(within 15 minutes) because of the trade restrictions. I haven't even looked at the RSOF marketplace since the GE was introduced, so maybe I'm out of touch with how people trade these days...

I really hope that you are wrong about that price :lol: The last time that I bought granite they were just over 1k each. If they've risen that much already I think I'll have to hurry up in getting the level for swamp titans... EDIT: Yeah you were right...well that's unfortunate, great for anyone who wants to mine granite for experience though... :thumbsup:

NPC's sell for 25 ea, other players sell for about 21-23 ea. Noone can sell any useful amount at a different price than 25 ea. You could buy 10k for 22ea at the absolute maximum...and you really are not going to get that much use out of those.

If you're going to train slayer for an significant amount of time at all, 400 points shouldn't even matter. I've only gotten 2 levelups(1 full level) since the quest, and I have the helmet, 2 blacklisted tasks, and I've cancelled maybe a dozen or so, and I still have around 200 points to use as I please.

I really hope that they change it back to the old way. One of my favorite things about slayer was the way that it broke up the monotony of training. Even getting tasks that I like like 180ish dusties twice in a row irritates me. I've been cancelling all kinds of nice tasks like those since I got my helmet and blacklisted terrorbirds and wyverns(I got my first ever wyvern task with 3k xp left till 83 slayer btw :lol: )

Yes, pyrelords are not as good as they used to be though because a lot more people are using them now, granite lobsters are really good to swap in, too. I was just saying 23 ea as an upper limit because sometimes it takes too long to get enough of one type of pouches to trade in and you end up using a slightly less efficient pouch, well at least it's that way for me. Also, I just realized that I left swamp titans out of my calculations #-o

I noticed a significant decrease in the amount of crimsons that I got from greaters too, but it was a good while ago. I haven't noticed any recent changes, though :-k

That kyatt method sounds like a great idea for me to use too :lol: I always hate using up kyatts though, just seems so wasteful...

I prefer using duradel, but then again I like iron drag tasks(there are just too many steels now and Duradel doesnt assign bronze) and tasks with larger numbers of monsters. I started using Duradel as soon as I could(for the Diary) and ended up staying there. I think that I was around 97ish F2P then...

You could use the 2 lancers northeast of the swamp. No prayer is required. On a full world, one will respawn while you're killing the other. There are also two archers in the area, and if they attack you flip on range prayer and run west a bit, the rangers seem to have a very limited area that they can see. The rangers WILL own you without prayer, and I guess that you actually could kill all four of the scabarites there, but you would need to leave range prayer on.

Nope, just use them on a tiara. Do you not have 50 runecrafting? If that's the required level to make the tiaras, it would make sense that you can't enchant them without it.

Lol igor...noone is going to tell you the items that they use...well at least not here where it's publically viewable by everyone. You just have to experiment for yourself.

I think that 3k crimsons should get you up to around level 76, but I'm realy basing that on absolutely nothing, from there I think that you would would need maybe like 8k more crimsons to get 88...with lobsters that would be...about 1.33m shards...which would cost about 31m assuming that you're paying 23/shard(you really should not be paying 25ea) and add in over 8m for the granite...So it lookslike it would cost right around 40m :lol: That's not considering the cost of bursting(which I advise against) or waterfiends, and you really don't lose anything(get a little profit sometimes) if you pick up all their stackable drops and sell em. I could be completely wrong, though...

I meant that I have melee protect prayer on for the 4 to 5 seconds that they're hitting me while I run to the barrier to go downstairs and kill abberant spectres. Have you tried going back in karils? I'll probably never get a banshee task now, but it'd be nice to know.

Were you wearing karil's and what not? The only time that I've actually killed them was during the quest, but I noticed them wtfpwning me, too. I always slap on melee protect when I run by to spectres, now. I just thought that it was because I was in melee armour, though :shock: EDIT: Also, cannons are evil. You'll feel better about yourself for not using one 8-)

Last time that I was in world 6 Bandos(which was a LOOONG time ago) there were about 6 super high level guys who killed graardor in about 2 seconds all competing for the boss drop. Then there were lower leveled players(aka me) competing for drops from the seargants. If you just keep on ranged prayer while graardor is alive and don't attack him, there is no way for you to take damage. That is, unless you take a familiar and it attacks graardor and then his minions turn on you.

I just tested 2 out on a dust devil task, and even though the fall incredibly short in size...they seem to hit harder than the big ol' titans. Well they max at 15 too, but I think they're more accurate. Also, they shoot fireballs if the target isn't next to it. I got right about 10k range xp from the first hydra like you said that I would...strange that it seems like they hit more than titans. I've only ever used a titan attacking Supreme though...so I guess my experience is a bit limited.

Range is definately not the easiest experience to get for me :lol: as you can see from my stats, once I use up my stocked up charms ranged will be my lowest combat stat other than prayer, which I really don't see a reson to train much more. Again, thanks for all the answers.

I agree with everything that he said. You probably could kill soldiers, but it would take a long time. Also, cannons are evil. Never ever use them!

mine pess Well that's not true, with GE merchanting the profit will always be 5% of whatever you invest(or 10% if you have a lot more patience), so you can do it with low funds, it's just that you'll get a low return. I suggest that you use other methods until you have more capital too, though. I was just saying that it actually is possible. You could try using air runes...they're really slow but reliable, and the quantity limit shouldn't bother you much because you're not investing as much. Another thing, there's really no way to find a good method other than looking for yourself. If someone posted a good item on this thread, everyone who saw it would go out and try to use that item, and soon it wouldn't be very good at all.

The whole reason that I wanted to use them was for the ranged experience, and I usually try not to use scrolls so no worries there. I need to log on and test these already :lol:
