This is gonna sound kinda strange, but I was in spain over summer break and I speak spanish pretty much fluently. I still look like a foreigner though so everyone gets hella surprised when I talk to them in almost fluent spanish. So I walk by these group of girls sitting on the beach and they're talking about and pointing to guys [wagon] who are laying on the beach and commenting how some are "rounder" and "puffier." Never hear that kind of thing here in the U.S. so I got a bit of a chuckle out of it, but seems to fit this topic.

Very nice stakes, I'm curious what your using, because I'm going to have 94 magic at 87 combat, which is even quite a bit lower than yours. I wouldn't believe that it's just the stats for my combat level because there are tons of pures who max out their magic/range so what's so special that you do that let's you kill people so easily even if they're over your combat.

1. Reaching a Goal You've Been Working on For a Long Time. 2. Proudly being able to say my range level (and soon my magic level). 3. Getting a good pk when your the worst pker in all of runescape. 4. Winning a High Stake ( guilded platelegs) 5. Having people look up to you for advice on how to do something.

The strongest weapon is Full dharoks as the set effect is that it hits really high when you have LOW HP. (HIts as high as 110 have been reported at 1 HP). However due to no one really fighting that low the best weapon is probably the abbysal whip for melee, the master wand for magic, and the Dark Bow for Range. Best armour defensively is Full Torags, however due to the other barrows armour have much more beneficila set effects (guthans heals you while you hit, veracs hits through prayer ect.) it is not used much. If your only looking for defensive stats though then Torags is great especialy since it only costs 2 million gp while veracs costs 4.5m and guthans 8m. Best moneymaker is runecrafting nature runes at level 91, however since it takes really long to get that high the best "skill" money-maker is probably Herblore or Farming

Quite on the contrary if you sell some stuff like your fury and your rangers and maybe one of the verac items you could easily afford full guthans.

I convinced all my friend to use clan chat from now on instead of pming each other and to log into clan chat as soon as they log on. This way if I'm doing something like alching I can just type "/" and my text and continue alching instead of switching menu tabs to go to my friends list. Makes alching much faster when talking to someone.

Hmm, I think it's because a lot more players are in the game and more and more daily are leveling higher and higher and starting to fight the higher lvled monsters. These require a lot of prayer potions so the price of the materials for prayer potions increase as your paying for the herblore xp as well. Or maybe it's because the people that use prayer pots a lot are the KQ and KBD clans/teams which don't care about what they spend on supplies because they know they will make it all back in drops. BTW new signature, testing it out now. Too bad the quality is kinda bad now cause I had to shrink it to the 30kb limit that tip it has. :?

With the Game Engine Update from a few weeks ago Jagex change it so any monster that takes up more than two squares can now move diagonally which totaly screws over pures at fight caves.

He's right though. It's a lot of work for something that isn't necesary. However I'm surprised to see you haven't started your own website for this project. I personaly hate BB code.

Here's a quick picture I found on google. Basically it's just a box with small headlines which is streamed from a certain server (usualy some news/blog posting site) from which you can click on to see the full information of that post.

I have an idea. We coulod release articles one by one instead of a paper and have the headlines for each one appear in a RSS box on the side of the Onyx Portal. Or just release the paper as a whole and have the individual headlines be listed in a RSS box.

Let me be the first to congratulate you on another great release for the paper. Glad I could finaly contribute to something like this as well : EDIT: I do however suggest to check over some of the content before the paper is released to make sure it's up to date. For example the Behind the Scenes is taking into question how Jagex will introduce the Mithril Dragons when they have already been released. Sorry if that's just being a bit picky, as I do understand that it takes time to develop the paper and that it may not always coincide with when Jagex decides to release updates.

Well over the course of my runescape career I've had two account, Degeneratex and R0binhood Jr. Been playing for about 2 and a half years. Before I started playing Runescape I was a loser through most of elementary school and Middle School. Started out as kids taunting me because of my German Accent and just kinda "stuck" with the kids as we all got older. I had a few friends back then because all I did was try to fit in with the others despite the ridiculing. I had pretty good grades up until high school. Now it's usualy half A's and half B's which I don't really consider being because of Runescape but moreso because of the level of difficulty that increased from elementary school through high school. I was never really good with talking to girls, and still am not. I'm pretty athletic, 6 foot 1, but skinny as a twig, weighing 130 pounds. Since High School has started, I've found a group of 3 close friends that I find a hang out with a lot more than I have with anyone so far, but still feel that RS is interfering with time that I could be hanging out with them. I started playing runescape in 7th grade and to this day none of my friends know I play. I usualy played about 1 - 2 hours a day during the school week and can go from about 5-10 hours on the weekends (not something I'm particularly proud of :wall: ). Started out as me trying to subistute my self-esteem by being "better ie: higher leveled" than my friends on Runescape of which I had very little in my school life. So I played a lot more, got a lot higher leveled than my Rs friends, got a lot more money than my rs friends, bought stuff for my rs friends, got scammed by my rs friends ect. What really scarred me was when I got scammed of my Santa which was the accumulation of over a year of hardwork. Now don't laugh, but I honestly felt like there was a huge gaping goal in my heart. It was not the fact that I got scammed of my whip, but moreso of the though that I had just thrown away one year of work and effort and the more I thought about it, the more I realized that outside of runescape I had no life at all. Sure I played guitar and soccer decently, but nothing really in the social aspect. I realized that in the last year I had not improved my life in anyway, I hadn't accomplished anything I saw as "honor-worthy" on runescape, nor improved my grades, nor improved myself in the social aspect of my life. And that was what scared me. Needless to say I quit runescape for 2 months, but came back to it later b/c of how bored I was. Because I had not done anything in my freetime besides Runescape there was a big gap in my schedule to fill which imminently brought me back. In this past year, I've become a lot more profficient in playing runescape. I've become an advanced merchanter and made 35 million, got scammed countless times but made my way back up each time more than I had before but always getting scammed again down to almost nothing. Then a Game came out called Pokemon Diamond. Now I'm not really into the whole pokemon series but was always a fan of the video games. I never bought any of the ones past the Silver/Gold generation, but the promise of online battling made me want to get this game bad. And just like that I was able to quit runescape for 3 months w/o a second thought. No cutting down on time gradualy, but just quitting all at once. However, the game got boring, and I came back to Runescape. Now it's the summer and I'm in vacation in Barcelona, Spain yet I still feel the need to come online 1 hour a day to play runescape, even though I'm in SPAIN and could be doing countless other things. Now I'm taking one AP class next year and 2 Honors classes. The way I see it there are two things that can happen. A. In order to cope with the massive amount of work in my AP and honors classed I will gradualy have less and less time to play runescape until I eventualy will be able to quit. :pray: B. I will just continue to be hooked on runescape more and more and more until my grades will fall as well as destory the fragment of a social life I've been able to create for myself. Been looking through the responses on this thread, but it doesn't seem like anyone has been affected as much as me by Runescape, which scares me a lot. Or they're just too afraid to let it all out. Either way, I've been wanting to say this in one way or another for a while now and when I saw this thread just had to post this.

Having been a member on and off for the past year I can honeslty state a few things from my personal expiriences. There are more scammers in members than there are in F2p. You might find this hard to believe but I dare any of you to go around merching for a week in world 1 and world 2 and count how many times you get attempted of being scammed. Macroers - While I have to agree that there are A LOT of macroers on F2P, I also have to mention that there are plenty of macroers in members as well. Maybe not as many, but still enough to notice them. Fishing Guild, Flax Field, and Mining Guild is full of them. Noobs/Beggars - Generaly F2P is considered teh Demo version of Runescape before you join members. Here players will raise their skills until they get a sense of that they have done everthing that can be done in F2P and want to enjou the new features of members. This is why from my perspective F2P has the majority of noobs/beggars, because all the higher levels have since gone members. Also with new account being made easily and at no cost, people don't have to worry about being reported because they don't care. I met a friend of mine in F2P the other day to give him a Zammy Full Helm for my B-day (yes I'm so awesome I give stuff to my friends on my b-day). Wave of nostalgia over came me, in a good way. Although I was standing in the same place a minute earlier in members, it felt so different with all the differently dressed people. I actualy stayed in F2P the rest of the day buying some eye of newts, mining, edge pking, and buying some runes. I'm not saying that F2P is better than members, but some of the statements you guys are putting against F2P are ridiculously exhagerated if not untrue to begin with.

Desert Treasure is overrated. I was facing Desseous yesterday and all my friend told me to be careful and bring lots of Food and Prayer Potions and a Tele and all that but he only ended up getting me down from 78-38 HP w/o me using a single prayer dose or shark. My advice is don't worry about the crap that people say about how hard the bosses are because most of them are referring to how to do it on a pure, which obviously your not. Fareed = Easy Desseous = Easy Damis = Hard, unless you go out of the cave as soon as you lure him and as I've seen someone say "Run East until you get to a Spiral-thingy and go in, you will then have a Rat in front of you that you can mage Damis over in which he can't melee you, then just protect from Magic and you won't have to waste a single shark" I'm going to look into that more because since I've never done dt I have no idea what the "spiral-thingy" is. Kamil = Medium - Kinda scary with all the wolves and ice around him, but honestly he's not that hard. Protect from melee because althoug his magic attack can freeze you it will only hit 5's, and if you wear some good D'Hide for mage protection even his ice spells will barely hit you.

It's a bit harder since they fixed SOME of the blocking procedures, but you should be able to get through most of them fine. Damis would probably be the hardest one but using those D stone bolts if you get the effect to work a few times he'll be down in no time. Just remember that skellies can't be used for blocking anymore, only rats can. Also you can lure Damin into the single-combat zone so the skellies don't attack you. Good luck.

Yep with adament arrows I hit like a 16 max but for the same price I can buy mithril bolts with which I can hit a 24. Hit a 31 last night with enchanted diamond bolts on a mithril dragon. And a 50 with enchanted ruby bolts on a mithril dragon. I really like cross bolts now, reflect my range level a lot more.

Alright I'll try that. It's too bad that bolts are so expensive now that they've made them stronger.

Some guy offered to buy my santa for 3000 Ranarr Weeds which seemed like a really good deal. But they were UNID and I had never dealt with an Herb scam before so I accepted. 20M less for me. Then back on my old account this guy wanted to "Try Out" my Whip and Obby set. I never saw him again. Got scammed of my veracs a month later from someone who took the money out last second. And now I hate merchanting so I never buy and sell a lot of stuff anymore to minimize the risk of me getting scammed. Now I end up dieing at Ape Atol Dungeon when my prayer runs out with my Ranger Set and 2M in items on :wall: Could have bought a skill to 99 with that money -.-
