1. I would like to be a blah writer as well as I know a lot of those little tidbits of information that not many people know about.
2. So what your saying there are differences in damage between enchanted and unenchanted versions when teh special effect is not taking place? But you just donn't know how much?/
3. So it looks like the only ones worth enchanting are the Opal and Pearl tipped ones if I'm juts going to fight NPC's. How often do the said effects occur? or better yet Is it worth enchanting bolts period? Besides the special effects, will the bolts do extra damage than the non-enchanted version assuming it's not doing its effect at that momemt. (What I mean is Say Opal tipped and Optal Tipped Enchanted. Will the enchanted version do more damage when it isn't doing its special effect than the regular non enchanted ones?)
4. Sorry no idea :(
5. It's ok if you don't know the damage, because that was a huge help, cause I didn't believe that they would make over 36 different kinds of bolts, nor that the gem tips would nullify the type of metal. Thanks a lot.
6. This will explain everything. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=643345 At first your going to be slowly losing a bit of money but once you reach lvl 55 you start making a small profit and you will have earned back the money you lost in no time. After 55 it's all but up as your making money and making super fast xp.
7. I'm a a ranger with 82 Range and want to start using cross bows to mix things up during my training. I have knives, cannons, arrows ect. but want to know what training with bolts is like seeing as people have quite a few hits a lot higher than what I hit with arrows and such. First of all what is the heirarchy of the bolts concerning damage? I understand that Rune > Adament > Mithril > Steel > Iron > Bronze But where do the effects of the gem tippped ones [(Dstone, Diamond, Ruby. Emerald, Saphire, Opal, Jade, Pearl)] Do I have to enchant the bolts or can I leave them unenchanted. 1.What is the difference in damage between enchanted and unenchanted ones? 2.What are the effects of the enchanted ones besides higher damage? 3.How much damage does each do? 4.How often does the special effect take place? If you could please post it in the following format: Bolt Name: Special Effect: Accuracy: Damage at 82 range (thus far I have yet to find a bolt damage calculator) Manufacturing the Bolts? Using the Search Button I Managed to Find the Following Information. If I make Mithril Bolts and attach saphire bolt tip to them will they have different damage than if I make Adament Bolts and attach Saphilre bolt tips to them? Or does adding a gem tip nullify what type of metal the bolt previously was. Assuming that yes the kind of metal you use effects the amount of damage you do after youve added gem tips to them then doesn't that mean there are 36+ different kind of bolts since you can add 6 different gem tips to each kind of bolt. That seems kinda absurd to me so can anyone correct me if I'm wrong. Examples of what I mean Bronze Bolt: Saphire tipped Emerald tipped Ruby tipped Diamond tipped Dragonstone tipped Onyx tipped Iron Bolt: Saphire tipped Emerald tipped Ruby tipped Diamond tipped Dragonstone tipped Onyx tipped Steel Bolt: Saphire tipped Emerald tipped Ruby tipped Diamond tipped Dragonstone tipped Onyx tipped Mithril BoltSaphire tipped Emerald tipped Ruby tipped Diamond tipped Dragonstone tipped Onyx tipped Adament Bolt Saphire tipped Emerald tipped Ruby tipped Diamond tipped Dragonstone tipped Onyx tipped Rune Bolt Saphire tipped Emerald tipped Ruby tipped Diamond tipped Dragonstone tipped Onyx tipped
8. Your kidding right
9. Why would you string willow longs? That's just idiotic. Buy willows 30 ea and cut them into willow longbows (u) then sell to general store and make most of your money back to buy more willow logs with.
10. Well woopie I just got Infernal Mages again as a slayer asignement. I think I'm just going to use bones to peaches this time as it didn't occur to me before seeing as I've neer used it in a real situation before.
11. Dang missed that last post. I just finished. Found out about the cannon not working the hard way so that wasted 5 inv spots. I ended up using the knives, elemental shield, and vambs and they barely ever hit me, although I almost got killed when one hit an 8 while I wasn't paying attention. Ring of life saved me -.- Didn't get any good drops while my friend got mystic boots :( Ended up wasting a lot of money on food but w/e it's a task worth doing due to their xp.
12. decided to switch accumulator with sara cape and using knives instead of mage short bow so I can attach the Elemental shield for mage def. Was that good to get my mage def up, or should I have kept the other stuff to increase my range? Mage def of +103. That ok?
13. Alright I'm going to try them out. Hope I don't die and lose my stuff. Now last question, where can I even find them? EDIT: nm found out myself, off to slayer tower. Any more expiriences on them.
14. Click on the link in my profile to see my stats: Basicaly I have: 82 range 80 magic 40 prayer 40 defence. I just got an asignement for 116 Infernal Mages. I like how I got a lot of them since I get annoyed for having to go back and forth to the slayer master in the lost city to keep getting new asignements. But I've also read that everyone hates them cause they're hard or something. Would I be able to do them without using prayer pots (I have the 40 pray for an emergency if I get low I guess) and is it effective to cannon them. I don't care if it's profitable or not as I basicaly juts bought the c balls to waste them on slayer, so don't take c ball cost into account, juts say if it would work. And am I risking positively dying at these, and would you strongly recomend I take something else or should I be fine. And are there any safespots? Thanks a lot guys.
15. Don't merchant easter eggs or pumpkins. THey're way too hard to sell. If your f2p switch to lobsters and if your p2p switch to ranger sets.
16. Just from personal expirience listen to me. If your buying a rare for investment your not going to pull a worthy profit until at least 6 or so months. Now obviously you can merchant a lot more money with that "wasted money on the rare" in that time period than you will profit off of it. Furthermore everytime a new update comes out that requires money, the first rare prices to drop cold are green mask and santa hat. If anything I would try getting a blue or not getting a rare at all. I had a few santas up until recently, but prefer to keep my stocks in cash as I can do whatever I want whenever I want w/o having isolated money that isn't being used stuck in a rare,
17. I guess I never looked close enough to see what the spec was. I always thought they were just like smoke bombs -.- Tholse dragon heads are tight, too bad no one notices them if their camera angles aren't adjusted.
18. Once again: Blue = Stable, so it's good for a specific outfit and will barely change price Santa = Investmen with big fluctuations as when a new update comes out that requires a lot of money, they are the first to be sold. Blue = for outfit with no profit Santa = Investmen with high or negative profit. (but your not dumb enough to sell it at a negative profit)
19. Merchant Ranger Sets Never buy or sell Herbs as you will get scammed like I did today. Always check the second trade screen for a few seconds, those few extra seconds aren't going to make the other person change their mind all of a sudden.
20. A bit off topic, but it turns out after beingy so stingy about buying a Dark Bow for 4 mil, I got scammed of my santa by someone switching Ranars with Guams. It's fun knowing that I could be 15 million richer and be enjoying my Dark Bow at the same time at this moment. :(
21. Definetly not underpowered. In fact it's so underpowered that you can one hit ko someone (with 99 hp) if you have 99 range, pray, pot, dragon arrows that I'm positive it will be nerfed in some way or form. Enjoy it while it lasts.
22. I would say yes for fight caves. If you dont mind spending a bit of money on arrows you could hide behind Italy Boot and wait for spec to recharge and then go out and one Hit Ko with the spec.
23. How can the results of price manipulation have anything to do with the drop rate. Please don't make such false conclusions and confuse our user base.
24. As I said Dark Bow will replace any bow in any circumstance unless it involves not being able to pick up your arrows for some reason. Getting a Fire Cape is going to be a hell of a lot easier with a spec that always hits and has the potential to hit 100.
