  1. What I did when I first made my pure is take 10k with me to the Zammy Mage in the wild and started buying air and mind runes. Then once I used up my 10k I would bank and come back. Just logged as soon as I saw a white dot and I never got attacked once. If you world hop a bit this can get you all of your airs for 3-5 each and all your minds for 3-5 each.
  2. Alright thanks a lot. In what kind of bulk would pker actualy buy them for? 500 at a time? 1K?
  3. Kinda expected this. I guess I'll just stick to my corner of world 2 fally. It's just the quick 50k things is way too little profit. And the nice 400k profit things are catching on by other people start doing the same thing.
  4. Well to put it bluntly so there's a stamdard. I'm looking for something more profitable than mage books.
  5. Alright thanks a lot. Still not specific on what too merchant, but I get the idea of what your trying to say. A month was kind of an exageration...ok a big exhageration. I had made this topic before and people just told me: which was really no help at all. Sorry for "lieing" but I felt it was necesary to get more realistic responses.
  6. Well I know this might seem like every other question on here, but you never really seem to answer it in a clear way. I've been merchanting obsidian shields and capes and have been slowly edging my way forward from 1 mil to 8 mil in the past month. However making 30k profit per item is fairly bad comparing myself to the *master* merchants on here. So I ask the community, What is the most efficient thing to merchant. Notice how I say efficient. Actually let me add an enphasis to EFFICIENT. That means, what is profitable to buy and sell, but still high in demand so it is easy to sell. Many people suggest merchanting barrows. What kind of barrow sets? Buy as pieces and sell individual, sell as sets? Buy sets and sell as sets? Be specific. I've also heard to merchant the god armours. Last time I checked there is not much if any demand for them and they're to oahrd to sell. Now I know no one wants to give up their secrets of the grade, but could you please list some possible combinations as I want to be able to get a Santa Hat by June at the MOST. P.S. - You can PM me if you don't want to reveal the secrets to everyone O:) ___________________________________________________________ EDIT: AFTER A WEEK OF MERCHANTING I FINALY GOT MY SANTA
  7. I'm pretty much retired from runescape right now but I check back on the forums occasionaly to see what's going on. I disagree with your point of view on defence. The whole point is to give-up your resistance to attacks and put all of that into strength. Defence has a possibility of blocking "a blow" and has no effect whatever on the damage of the "blow." More strenght allows the pure to hit higher than the opponent in attempt to whittle down his health fast. The wilderness is all about killing "fast." Person to get the first hit, person with full special bar, all have an impact at the amount of time the battle will take. It is more important to get in higher hits and finish off or scare the opponent into thinking they're doomed than protecting oneself. When someone sees they're low on hp or that you can hit as high as the amount you have left, they use animal-instinct which is too run. In a way you can call this intimidating the opponent. This just dooms deeper into the trap by giving them more opportunities to hit you. Defence on the other hand allows you to evade a blow, but the chance of a strong one occuring still "intimidates/influences" what your going to do. If you can land in the first few hits and get them low, you can generaly hit higher than they can eat. As soon as you've done that you've won the battle. Sorry if this seems like a giant garble of opinion with no clear point. It's 3 A.M and I'm a bit tired.
  8. Rune HQ Quote That's what I was afraid of, but I guess I'm going to have to keep that one item spot. One item space is not worth 2 mil worth of points.
  9. That's what I'm worried about
  10. Alright well I was wearing my Mage Training Arena Hat (the rainbow color one) and I went non -member because my membership expired. Well now that I'm F2P I accidentaly put on an Air Tiara. So now I can't deposit my hat in the bank because it's full so I'm stuck with one less space in my inventory. My Question is, if I drop the hat now, I can get another one again later from the Mage Training Arena dude right? If I drop it now will all the points I have gotten be gone, or will they still be kept next time I get the hat back? Keeping my points is very important as I got a very substantial amount of points towards infinity armour. Thanks a lot, Nick
  11. Let's keep it that way, cause otherwise infinity prices will drop.
  12. Got Bones to Peaches a while ago using this guide. Going to attempt full infinity over break. I'll post the # of hours it took me when I'm done so u can update it for each item. Great guide thanks!
  13. 1. Starting to play runescape the day after the Christmas Event ended, so no scarfs and hats for me =/ 2. Having 2 mil when Santas were 9 mil during construction. Merchanted to 10 mil and told myself I would buy santa the next day. They jumped to 18 mil when I logged in the next morning. Bought Full verrack and whip with the money. Lent a good friend because he wanted to do pest control. He logged out and I'm left standing there never to see again. Currently recovered to 4 mil. On my quest for a santa one step at a time. 3. Accidentaly gotten 13 prayer from Recruitment drive on my Main/Pure. 4. Only mining iron for this one member guy I thought was god when I started playing and selling him all my iron ore 10 each. I felt even more of a noob when I found out how much they were really worth a month later. 4. Everytime I have some kind of vacation break and a goal to get on rs something else comes up. For example I wanted to get full Infinity at Mage Training Arena this christmas break, but my dad just announced were going to Barcelona, Spain for Christmas. Woopdiedoo, I just I should be happy though cause I won't be able to afford to visit places around the world for a long time once I graduate College and start leading my own life. Should enjoy it while it lasts, as not everyone has a chance to go to some far off country. RS will always be here later (I hope). Yep there's my regreats
  14. Would be nice if Jagex just kept releasing better armours with higher defence reqs over and over again. Then pures wouldn't pwn so bad anymore. Problem is how much would these armours cost and how would they become availabe. Would never happen because they would screw with the Runescape economy, and the entire point of having it downsize pures wouldn't work because it would cost to much too pk in. If it wasn't expensive then every other armour below it would have to drop in price to make up for their loss of "value." So in conclusion my idea comrpirsed of 95% stupidity would ruin runescape. Just shows that I should never work for Jagex.
  15. I'd like to be like Vanakka cause he can wield a 2H and a D sq shield at the same time.
  16. ^Well sort of. Some spells require less than 50 others more. For example nature runes. You need them to high alch in the Alchemy Game, For Bones To Bananas/Peaches. Cosmics are dirt cheap so those are free points, and you can just collect dragonstones and enchant them anyways for some quick points.
  17. I think your mixing up the Mage Training Arena and Mage Dueling Arena. One is in lvl 55 wilderness next to the Mage Bank where you can Cast the 3 god spells (Saradomin, Guthix, Zamorak) and must cast each spell 100 times in the Arena to use them anywhere. Second is above Al Kharid which gives the Infinity Rewards you were talking about. This quires the The High Alchemy Spell, Bones to Bananas Spell, and Telekinetic Grab spell. If you got 500 of each spell I sadly have to tell you that no it wouldn't be enough for a single piece of inifnity but it would get you very close to Infinity boots which you could sell for 850k to make back the back you payed for the runes or to keep if you want. I myself and going to get Full Infinity over christmas break spending 3.7 mil on runes (Market Price is 12.5 mil) and playing 5.5 hours a day over Christmas Break. Will get me to 78 Magic too \
  18. Mind that the channel is not endorsed by us. The only official Tip.It channel is #runescape at irc.tip.it:6667. As Mamong mentioned, you better download mIRC. It's a better client than the java chat :P. It can be found at http://www.mirc.com Hope to see you around there ;) Toats's in that channel though which is the only tip it person that really matters anyway :P Maybe its not "officialy" endorsed but its the same exact people from the tip. it community.....oh and did i mention Toat is in there all day \
  19. I have a Visa DEBIT CARD and I live in California and it works fine.
  20. Are you sure you had your anti-dragon shield equipped. Otherwise I can't explain this any other way.
  21. Good luck man. I'm workin on slayer atm as well, but the problem is I'm sort of a pure so I'm having a hard time facing most monsters. Since I'm ranging its kind of a hassle to keep picking up all my arrows/knives as well. Anyways I'm only going for 65 but nevertheless good luck you seem to have this very well planned out and determined to reach your goal. BTW check out the link to my blog in my sig. :D
  22. Wow, keep it up. I like magic too, I just can't stand high alching repetitively, and I don't have the cash to fight my way there. Pest control will at least keep it sort of interesting with all the monsters moving and since you've found a good group it will be a lot easier than others who have attempted it purely by alching or teleing.
  23. Well in highschool, runescape is considered mostly something used when you joke about something. I play, but I just don't express it openly, and have it hidden on my comp so my friends don't find it when I come over. No one every says that they play but I've had some people hint at some terms that only Runescape people would use, but haven't really pushed to find out. Ex: Someone is talking about MMO's someone brings up rs as a joke, some other guy says "apart from the graphics it doesn't look all that bad" (what I was saying above, I think some people play secretly)
  24. Can you read? I think your brains the size of a peanut. He already made the frame but when he wants to insert the saphire it says he needs 49 crafting.
  25. Most of my good friend that I could actualy talk to and have a real conversation with.......not the idiots that babble "ZOMG I GOT 80 str....woot i hit a 22.... hey can i have some death runes".... Met the first one, when I was a level 20 mining iron in varrock west mine. We both did everything together, mining, fishing, hill giants. He later introduced me to a girl (rsn:browneyes###) but my account got stolen and her chat is on friend always, so I have no way of saying hi to her since she doesn't know about my new account. Second friend I met while killing cows, we did everything for a while together to, until I quit for about 4 months, when I come back he's combat lvl 61 and I'm still lvl 40. He went members for about 2 months then quit. While on a pking trip with friend number two I made new friends, who as it turns out were cousins. The first one has bad grades in school so has been grounded and not been on for 3 months, and the second is on everyday so he's fun to talk to. He kind of babbles a bit though, but fun to hang around with nonetheless. He plays this game for fun and levels, not for money. So his methods of doing things like training range often involve the expensive alternative such as cannons even though he's a poor level 80. Met my other friend Hellwolfx32 while pking, he's not on much anymore either...but I have to admit this guy is a guy with a good soul. When I got scammed of 10 mil and a whip I was ready to quit and give all my stuff away to him. He could have gotten millions, but he pleaded me to stay and comforted me what seemed like a week just to get me to stop from quiting. Even though he's not on that much anymore I'm also going to remember him. Met my last friend Hopper193 who also doesn't get one more than once every 2 weeks while training to 70 attack, 50 strength, 70 defence on red deadly spiders in my quest to become a staker. Guess we all know how that turned out. Got my goals but was a horrible staker. Fun guy to talk to in order to relieve the boring hours of training in the wee hours of the morning. Feel free to pm me if you need someone to talk to!
