What are Affordable BUDGET Bolts for Ranging?
Well after spending over 14M on Chins and then dying with about 10M stuff on I need to start looking at using Cheaper Bolts That Are Still Effective at Monster Killing. Last night I ws using Mithril Bolts at Mithril Dragons at the safespot, and the 3 mithril bars they dropped combined with the pick-up rate of the accumulator always made me able to make more than I was using. But now that the safespot is gone I need to start looking at new monsters which can support my expensive lifestyle. Any suggestions? BTW I'm 90 Range, 45 defence, 44 prayer, 80 magic. Got 14M cash to spend.

Is PC the best ranged xp?
Yead I did red Chinchompas but it cost me about 1.4M in Chinchompas and Prayer Potions combined, not to mention that I died there with my Ranger Set on and 2k Chinchompas causing me to lose 10M :wall:

suggested equipment for meleeing mithrils?
Depends on which one's your ranging. I your going to the safespot with 20 people per world competing for the same dragon then take the best stuff you can find preferably range or magic, but bring runes b/c that's the fastest method to lure them in. If killing the less crowded ones, I advice to use melee but be careful. Don't use things like veracs or guthans.

Having Trouble Being Faster Than Others at Mith Dragons
I'm using spells just like everyone else to try to hit them first, but for the past hour I've only been able to kill 3 of them. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong, as my computer is definetly not the problem (E6600 OC to 3.6 + GeForce 7800 GTX). Are certain spells faster than others?

Best Method of Slaying Mithril Dragons?
The problem with range is that we can't click on the mithril dragons faster than the magers can since they just have to click on the spell and then hover it over them while we have to right click and then attack. Other than that yes range is the best

Being John Runescapavich
I can pretty much guarantee that I'm addicted as well and that I would exhibit the behaviors you listed. My only hope is that by the time I get into year 11 (I'm going into year 10 this fall) that I'll be slightly "bored" by runescape so I can actualy focus on my studies.

what 99 skill in real life?
Well I could get 99 agility and then be the fastest man in the world and compete in teh olympics. But I think 99 thieving would suit me just fine :) add a ring of charos (u) to that and I'll be a happy man.

ever feel its not just a game?
You skipped a date to spend millions on construction? Maybe... :-w

ever feel its not just a game?
So we can conclue that any game that pits us against other people will psychologicaly want us to be better than them, therefore making us invest more time into the game. Therefore MMORPG -> No-lyfing -> Failure At Life -> __________

Tipit Homeworlds (Worlds 99 and 7) & Team Cape (39-Green
Up until now I never really considered it. I might consider it now seeing how at least there will be some people with a higher IQ than that of a rock with me.

ever feel its not just a game?
I agree with the person above, I don't no-life as to what some people coin it, but spending 4 hours a day on rs now that it's summer-time is what I think makes me think of myself as addicted. It's sorta like counter balancing itself. If I play too much I get bored and start to dislike runescape. If I play too little I think to myself what I could have achieved if I spent just that little bit more time on rs. For example, today I died at Ape Atoll with my Ranger Set, 2.5k Chins, and 24 Prayer Pots (4) on me. My prayer ran out while I was training on skellies without me noticing and I got 1-hit by 21 skellies at once. To my disbelief my Black D hide and Glory protected over my Ranger Set. So now I'm in a state of hating rs, but I'll probably get over it and start playing again tomorow because I'm playing "too little." Kinda depressing to know that from scamming and dieing I've lost a grand total of 38 mil =(

ever feel its not just a game?
When I skipped going out on a date to play RS when construction came out is when I knew that I was addicted. Generaly anyone that has an "urge" to play or to meet up with online friends because you have no offline friends is what I consider addiction.

Final opinions on this system I am building?
RAM is crap as I've tested some myself. It can't overclock for [cabbage] even a little bit. Get some Mushkin RAM and make sure you get the kind with the heat spreaders. Get an E6600 processor. It has the same core as the one your thinking of and your saving money instead of buying the overpriced version with the same wafer in it. Get the E6600 I've overclocked mine to a stable 3.6 GHz on air cooling. Graphic Card - Do whatever you want, it moreso a matter of how much you want to spend so whatever you want is good. I'm running a 7800 GTX right now which has worked me fine up till now, your right the 8000 series is a rip-off. PSU: Whatever you want as well, but if I had to recomend you one I would tell you to get a GameXStream from OCZ. Mobo - consider getting a EvGa 680i Mobo. And don't get the Conroe procesor like the guy said above. The extra cache space provides a minimal increase when it comes to overclocking.

Affordable Range Training?
Red Chinning in Ape Atoll is THE FASTEST XP around. I went from 83-86 in a day. There are only 5 to begin with but more and more spawn and they all get drawn to you right away and you can stack up to like 21. It's expensive because it costs 1.4mil a trip but you get a ton of range XP

Red Chinompas 200k + Range XP per hour On Ape Toll?
K my inv is 1 Ardougne Teletab 2 Range Pots (4) 1 Regular Anti-Poison (4) 2 Sharks 22 Prayer Potions (4) Works out very well, you run out of range doses right when you finish up your p pots. And you don't need a super anti, a regular one will do. And at first there are only 5 or 6 but as you kill them they indefinetly spawn until you have like 21 stacked on top of each other. Too bad jagex nerfed chins to only hit 9 targets as they used to hit all targets. And no this is not better than pc, using this method gives you more xp per hour than Heart Unit, Affliction, or any other PC clan can get you.

What would make a better 99? Non-combat? Edited First Post!
I'd say fletching because it's the easiest 99 to achieve and is also very profitable as well as handy for other skills such as Magic.

Red Chinompas 200k + Range XP per hour On Ape Toll?
I've read a few times that there was a place on Ape Toll where when range protect prayer was turned on the entire time and red chinchompas were used, once could achieved 200k + Range XP per hour. 1. Where is this spot? I have a theory that it's the monkey archers on the cliffside because it's multi there, but I'm not sure. 2. How do I go about training there? Where do I stand? What should my inv be like? (Food, pots, # of chins, runes, ect.) 3. Where do I stand, and what is the tactic to get them to all stack? Thanks a lot guys, all I have to do is kill the demon to complete Monkey Madness and then I'll check back here when I'm done. EDIT: Upon searching red chins I found a few handy things. Here's all the spots where you should train. Now the only question that's left is what should my inv be, where do I stand, and is there a tactic to funnel them all close to each other?

Red Chinchompas at Pest Control = Insane Range XP?
I've been reading through some of the threads about the red chinchompas and some of the insane amounts of xp per hour (200k+) that one could recieve doing pest control. Can anyone verify if the xp per hour is correct or is that an extreme exageration? If it does give 200k xp per hour, how many would I need to get from 83 range to 99? How many would I be using per hour if my PC game averaged one minute each time? Thanks a lot for your help guys.

SLAYER HELP: Infernal Mages?
Well ring of life saved me my ranger set while I was watching a movie while training on them. While technicaly I can easily kill them using knives and barely hit any 0's and use bones to peaches for food, it's just not very effective for slayer xp/ money concerns.
