  1. I hope you like math. I was talking to my science teacher and he said that chem acutly has alot of math.. and at my school its areally hard course, sooo much homework (this is assuming we have the same cariculem). Woot, im taking all three sicences \ No, chem is really not too bad on math. Grade 11 math (in Ontario, I'm talking) is the biggest jump in difficulty I've ever seen for math...Because they pretty much need to separate people who are going into math now before you get to grade 12/university and get owned. It's SO much work, so much to remember, it's really hard. By comparison, physics is somewhat simple math (it's more like grade 10), and chemistry is stupid simple. I have a poor chemistry program at my school, our teacher isn't really preparing us for Uni (good thing I don't need chem :), I'm talking it anyway to up my average). It has a good deal of math, but it's really no where near as bad as the regular math program. That really differes where you are. Canada's the 2nd largest country with less population compared to the US :| Yea, you're right, it's far more spread apart in Canada. I rarely ever am able to walk places in my area, because even though I'm in an urban area, it just sprawls on forever; there's so many forests, parks, fields all within residential parts of town. Makes for extremely difficult travel by foot, but also cuts down on sound/light polution. Lol :P You shouldn't worry too much. A friend of mine moved to Oregon, IIRC, last year and he tops the classes there. You can drink here at 17, as long as your own parents give you the drink  Are you sure about that? I work at a groccery store and I asked my manager about that and she said you have to be 21 to consume alchohol, but nobody really cares if your parent gives you a little something. The law is 19, and I don't think there actually is a minimum as long as a parent/guardian is supervising there and willfully gives you the alcohol (and it's in your own place of residence, and you can't have friends over to drink with you). I believe it is 18 in Manitoba, Alberta and Quebec, the rest being 19.
  2. I missed the Ukraine/Switzerland game, but my predictions hold strong.
  3. heh, a documentary on bears :P . with an 8.1 rating on imdb no less. Don't listen to him. It's a terrible documentary. Perhaps technically fine, but grossly boring and the guy was so pretentious (or arrogant, you choose one); he pretty much thinks hes societies better for living with bears. And the interviews they have are terrible. It was one of the worst documentaries I've ever seen.
  4. I think it might even be more fun not to root for any particular team. I mean, it's great while you're team is in, but when they don't win the cup (which most teams obviously don't), it's heartbreaking. That's why it's great just to watch for some great soccer.
  5. It kinda sucks that they had to win like that, I think last last call might have been a bit off. But my predictions are all right so far for the round ;). It did stop his goal scoring progress, so it might have been right though. Man, I just realised I'm here alone and I screamed out GOAALL in my basement. I'm wierd :|
  6. GOOOOOOOAL! Man that was an intense game. Like 5 seconds left?! OMG, so tense.
  7. Depends what I want to do that day. If I have no plans and nothing I could be doing, I'll wake up at about 11, rarely later. If I have something to do, more like 9. If I REALLY REALLY need to do something, more like 7 or 8 am. I always go to bed at roughly 12 o'clock in the AM.
  8. Where can you learn scales and tabs online? Cuz I can't afford a guitar, atleast not yet, but I might down the road, and I might as well learn while I wait.
  9. You know, I don't really have a favorite director. I don't really think there are any directors which anything they touch turns to gold. However, I enjoy Clint Eastwood, Francis Ford Coppola, Martin Scorcese and Quentin Tarantino.
  10. I watched The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada. It was pretty interesting, much more so than Syriana. It starts out jumping all over the place, which I was enjoying, but soon it stops that pretty much, and goes how most other movies go: linearly. It was one of the best looking movies I've seen in a while, and the character development was incredible. The story is alright, but there is some confusion about what happens at the end, which I won't spoil (there's talk over at IMDB, everyone has a different opinion). It was a good movie, not top 100, but a quality movie (which did pretty good at Cannes), and a solid effort for Tommy Lee Jones directing. It was a worthy watch, I'd say.
  11. That was an amazing goal. I watched that game.
  12. Why are you asking us, and telling us not to tell you to go to the doctor. All you're going to get here is random guesses and 12 year old trying to diagnose you. I donno, maybe this disease hurt your logical thinking skills.
  13. I dunno, Punch Drunk Love was pretty good.
  14. 30 pages, wow. I don't know very much at all about soccer, but I would say the final four are: Argentina Portugal Ukraine Spain I think that makes sence based on the options. If it doesn't let me know, I tried to work through the next 2 rounds out of a strange schedule that I could hardly understand. I like the way Spain plays; I think this is their year.
  15. I watched Syriana. It was quite slow. It has the same feel as Traffic (well...duh), but seems to lack connection to most of the characters as it just never really gets going. There's so much going on, and it's all too important-like for me to comprehend. I can tell it's written relatively well, it looks good, and there's excellent acting. But there's too many different stories that confuse me. Overall it was a fair movie, but never really satisfying. It's the kind of movie you need to watch again but don't necessarily want to.
  16. Yea I was gonna ask this too. Something that's fun and also teaches me about music. How is Sony Soundforge? And how does it work?
  17. Now they seem to be fixed, maybe I'm just smoking crack. But I saw the artists before, and I know them to be true, because I only knew about 3-4, and they all had the artist so I could confirm them. They appear to be gone now.
  18. Dude, almost all of those still have the artist name on them.
  19. Star Wars is easily my favorite. Reqiuem for a Dream's was very good, but I donno, I think they overused it a bit in the movie. Both Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction both are pretty interesting. I'm also partial to Gladiators, and a Beautiful Mind.
  20. For some reason the people are supposed to be the manliest are the ones that are actually least so IMO. Example: This year, when the guys football team lost, not making it into the playoffs, they got together in the locker room for a big old cry. Why? I have no idea. It's not because they were good, even if they had won that game, they would have gotten destroyed far before making it to the championship. And no, they weren't very good. Also, it wasn't like that was the last football game they'd all ever play, this cry time included the Juniors/Grade 11's, and it also included people who had just taken up football this year. I donno, maybe they are just sissies, or the roids pumping through their veins, or I donno...
  21. I believe I got 10.5 as my best, last year. This year I got like 8.5 or something.
  22. Math is Thursday, Physics Friday, Chemistry is Tuesday (sucks it's so far away :(, want to get to summer holidays.) Physics and Math I need to do really well on...I need to break the 80% barrier, and I'm so close to 80 right now it would be a shame not to do well. The thing is, I can't study, my brain has been on summer mode for like 2 months now (I've dropped 8 percent in physics since mid-term, and about 5-8 in Math). It's so hard to study, I was supposed to start right when I got home...3 hours later, I'm sitting here, posting this, and watching Erkle. It's so hard not to procrastinate.
  23. You know what's funny: I didn't even notice. :-$ :anxious: . Sorry man
  24. You should really be more clear in the title, you know, seeing as how there's a game called XIII already.
  25. I saw Running Scared. It was another very R-rated movie (I'm just saying; this has nothing this has nothing to do with quality). It was good, fun action, very thrilling, though it had some eye-brow raising twists. Let's be clear: When watching this movie, you're very sure you're watching a movie. The events and characters are so unlikely that it becomes pretty outlandish, and there are some noticable plot holes. BUT, it still serves to be very entertaining, occassionally cheer inducing, and overall unrelentlessly thrilling. In fact, the crazed story adds to the fun factor, and I was quite enjoying myself: I rarely looked at the DVD player timer, so that is a very good thing (many movies I do that every few minutes). It looked pretty good and was edited well, and I'd definately recommend it so long as you realise it's a very R-rated movie (the 267 F-words...they were clearly going for a high number, many of the usages make little to no sence). P.S. I swear the cafe they are in at the end is the same one from Pulp Fiction.
