Homework help
Hmmmm...Pictures really small, difficult to see. Here's what I think: The carpet was rolled back. He was rich, and rich people don't get rich by wasting. He didn't want to get blood on his carpet, so it would still be good for whoever inherits it. In a struggle, who seriously peels back a carpet? Then again, he could have moved away from the carpet. But if you're commiting suicide, you're not thinking straight, are you? Edit again- On further investigation, it looks like he peeled back his carpet, and then sat down and read the paper, then shot himself and fell forward out of his chair, no blood on the carpet.

Favourite Movie Line?
Here's what I don't get. That's hardly even a quote, and it still is on the AFI top quotes. Same with "Plastics" from The Graduate. They are important to the movie (actually, Plastics isn't too too much, I don't get it), but not quotable at all. They aren't even quotes, they are words... My ultimate favorite: "These aren't the droids you're looking for" Why? It's genious. Develops the movie/characters well, and is infinitly quotable. Kid: Can I borrow a pencil? Me: *wave hand* These aren't the droids you're looking for. Kid:  ...ummm See? Seriously though, I use many variations on this, and am constantly attempting to wave my hand and make people change there mind. It's pure genious. That's my favorite, and I can't even think of any other good ones now.

School Dinners
Some schools in America don't let people leave at lunch. Why? I don't know (where I am there is a MCD within a few mins walking), but it will work for them.

School Dinners
Personally I think this is good. They serve salads and vegitables and healthy things in my cafteria at school, but I would say 70%+ of the sales come from fries/pizza/burgers...Mostly fries. People like to complain that they should have the choice, then they make the wrong one. Then they blame everyone but themselves. This is a good idea, I think every school should do this, and while you may not see a drastic decrease in obesity among teens (thought there would be one to an extent), I guarantee it would build better eating habits and the people would grow up with those and be healthier.

Game Maker to Put Product on Big Screen
I don't think they are using the direct storyline from any of the Warcraft movies or World of Warcraft. They are just using one based in that universe. Oh yeah, and one of the designers claims they are veering away from LOTR, and trying to make it more like Braveheart.

The Davinci Code
Yea, and the Cannes film festival critics laughed at it. It must be pretty bad...But I bet it will still make loads of cash.

Are you happy with your classmates?
Sounds about my feelings towards people in general. I guess many of the people in my particular grade are fine. Not amazing, but acceptable. I would say I prefer the people in my grade to most in society.

If u could have 1 super abilty what would it be
1. Control over time and space (this trumps everything else-you can control things (telekinesis), you can move rediculously fast (stop/slow time, move, repeat), you can be invisible (same as super speed really, stop time, move to where you want to be invisible, repeat). 2. Assuming that that's cheating, which it probably is, and if I can't choose just control over time (which would be my number 2), then I'd choose super speed. Like, super-dooper speed, like, so fast you can't see the person move (like DBZ, see...), and if you need, move across galaxies in seconds. 3. Flying would be kinda cool, just to show off. 4. Infinite knowledge/wisdom would be tight. Who needs a super-power when you can make a machine do bio-enhance yourself with? Liek, create a rocketship 100x faster than light...Liek see the edge of the universe plx? 5. Matter-control...i.e. snap fingers and create a car out of thin air. That would blow anyone away. The possibilities are incredible. Notice: Every thing I've said but flying would allow you to take over the universe...But that's not what I was aiming for...Or was it?

Need Some Advice...
What I meant to say was, DO the final project(s), DON'T DO the 2-3 hours of extra homework she's assigning.

Need Some Advice...
I say don't do the homework. It can't possibly count for very much at all and will save you a lot of time. Sounds pretty obvious to me :\.

Why we SHOULD have to do speeches?
- E3: [Update]Super Smash Bros. Brawl Trailer Available
Yea, junior. But again, I'd rather have the comp updates. And getting a new monitor+Wii=probably close to 500 bucks. Plus games. And I already have a pretty huge amount of PC games that I can go back to, and all the high level games that I'll hopefully be able to play. Maybe my roommate or someone on my floor will have a Wii. That would be tight ;).- E3: [Update]Super Smash Bros. Brawl Trailer Available
Ah, looks like you spoke too soon! I found the GameFAQ's polls informative as to what the public thinks, that site is as diverse as you can get. Last week's thoughts about the Wii Current thoughts on Wii Who do you think will dominate E3? Who did dominated E3? Fine :x . PS3 did do pretty well, better than Microsoft though. I think Wii is going to do really really well next gen now. If I had money I'd be getting one (but as innovative as it may be, I'd much rather get a top-o-the-line graphics card and Vista next January than a Wii and a TV (I'm going to university after next year, there's no way there'd be room for a Wii and a TV in my dorm room.- What movie(s) did you last see?
I watched Munich. It was...unsettling to say the least (not as much so as Schindler's List, but I don't think that's entirely what it was going for). I thought it was quite good, though, and Eric Bana really has a wide range of things he can play (The Hulk, Hector, that guy from Black Hawk Down...and then this?). It was really well done and affecting and it really makes you think. I'd recommend this. This is the 4th and final of the best picture nominee that I'll see, and I think I'll rate them like: First is definately Crash, second I really can't decided between Munich and Capote, both were excellent. Then Good Night and Good Luck. I most likely won't see Brokeback Mountain.- Three years at tip.it
What name did you have on scapeboard?- E3: [Update]Super Smash Bros. Brawl Trailer Available
yeah, doesnt look all that comfortable. but it is kind of like the classic controllers for snes and nes, so it will work good enough. can always just use the gamecube controller too. Yea, but with Nes and Snes you didn't have to reach down for duel analogs. But yea, it will work fine, I suppose.- Three years at tip.it
I was a member well before Scapeboard turned to tip.it. I think this is 3 years I've been hear, maybe 4...But I'm leaning towards 3.- E3: [Update]Super Smash Bros. Brawl Trailer Available
Woah. Lol, check out the Wii "Classic Controller"...Looks kinda uncomfortable :|. http://cube.gamespy.com/articles/706/706627p1.html- Why is this?
Yea, it's kinda cool coming downstairs when the TV is muted and knowing it's on. I always turn it off, I don't like it ;0.- That 70's Show
I like the show. It was an excellent show for the first 5 seasons or so. Then it got kind of wierd. This season (minus Eric and Hyde, and plus that wierd new guy) was pretty much pointless, and it's clear it's run it's course and can move on. In it's prime, I thought it was a good show. I'll watch the series finale next week ;). I like to catch re-runs of the old episodes they have on Saturday afternoon, and late at night.- ~Post A Pic Of Your Favorite Actor!~
I can pretty much sum mine up by choosing one from each decade: 40's: Humphrey Bogart 50's: Marlon Brando 60's: Paul Newman 70's: Al Pacino 80's: Harrison Ford 90's: Kevin Spacey 00's: Russel Crowe Thought all of these actors have done excellent work in other decades, these are the decades that I think their best work was done (yes! I prefer Brando's performance in On The Waterfront to that of both The Godfather and Apocolypse Now!...Mostly because he was able to take an otherwise very average movie and make it something people talk about still as a classic, it's one of the best performances I've ever seen). Other excellent actors: Brad Pitt (90's) Tom Hanks (90's) Ed Norton (90's/00's) James Stewart (40's/50's) Philip Seymour Hoffman (00's) William H. Macy (90's/00's)[this guy can make pretty much any movie good, even when he's not the main star (well, he was in Sahara apparently, but that couldn't be saved] Gary Oldman (90's/00's) Dustin Hoffman (all over the map) Bruce Willis (80's/90's/00's) Charlton Heston (50's/60's) Morgan Freeman (90's/00's) Favorite actress's: Naomi Watt's, Reese Witherspoon of now time, Ingrid Berman of classic movies. WOW - I got really carried away.- Worst Movies Ever
There's better comic book movies than a History of Violence, not to mention there were a lot better movies than it last year. Sin City is good though. Road to Perdition is amazing. I didn't really like History of Violence (that's completely unrelated to this thread though, it's not like the worst movie ever) That wasn't very good, but it's no where near the worst movie ever. My personal least favorite movies: X-Men 1/2. They are just indescribably bad, especially considering what they have to work with (good actors that give their worst performances, big budget spent in all the wrong places [such as effects instead of hiring competent people for smaller parts], and just overall bad. Not in a laughable way, more in a why-are-you-wasting-my-time way. Sahara was also very bad, for similar reasons.- What movie(s) did you last see?
This weeks movies: Munich, and The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly (atlast ;)) - E3: [Update]Super Smash Bros. Brawl Trailer Available
