Just leave it behind. There's cabinets in the arena basement you can get another one free when you want to fight in arena.

I gotta say this game is moderately good, but I wouldn't consider it to be great. After playing roughly 75-80 hours, beating all the major quest lines (except arena, that's not really quests though), and having both an extremely high level mage and a high level thief/fighter, I gotta say it really wasn't that great. If I hadn't paid so damn much (80 bucks after tax), I would have put it down long ago, but decided to get the most out of it as was possible. All the dungeons are just too tedious, none of the quest streams were particularly fun (the main quest was extremely disappointing, dark brotherhood had a few good ones: it was the best). It just wasn't particularly fun, and it's said that people played 1500 hours of Morrowwind. Doing that in Oblivion would be absolute torture. It was just a bit too tedious, the map was far too big, as it was filled with pretty much nothing of interest. The graphics are probably good, but since I played it on a low level (due to computer ungreatness), I had good framerates, but didn't fully enjoy the graphics. So when you don't play with graphics you start to realise the mediocrity of the game.
  3. Watched the movie "Stay". Had never heard of it before, but it had some good actors (Ewan McGregor(sp), Ryan Gosling, Naomi Watts), and the synopsis sounded kinda cool. Not only was it an amazing guess, it was one of the best new (2005-2006) movies I've seen in the past year. At first it seems to be pretty standard fair, but you'll notice that the direction has an original feel, which is explored throughout the movie and becomes more and more important. This goes right along with astounding editing and very good cinematography. The story starts out like the rest, but it, too, picks up, and by the last half hour I was glued to the screen. It started tripping out, and every thing (acting, directing, story) was working perfectly together to make you feel in the movie. It was incredible, and you just had to see how it ends up. And how it ends up is amazing too. The movie is about the ride and the destination. An incredible movie, I'd highly suggest it to anyone with any attention span whatsoever, and an open mind.
  4. I would say 2003. Or probably more like July 2002 to July 2003. Grade eight. VERY easy schoolwork+good marks, more free time than I'd ever had before, or ever have again. I pretty much did nothing at school, just hung out instead of work, and still got incredibly marks. I was also more popular perhaps, not that that really matters to me. Way better than this year.
  5. Wow, scary. I'm doing waves in physics right now too :|. If I were to make a very uneducated guess, I would say the plane was shooting waves in the same direction as the sound waves made by the boom. They would have to be going in the same direction and be completely out of phase with one another, but the out of phase waves going in the same direction result in a complete cancellation of the waves, thus producing no sound. Now, I'm not sure if you can actually do this with a plane and sonic boom (we haven't talked about it), so I have no clue. But it's a possibility. And I do know that there is technology that takes in sound, matches it and then gives off completely out-of-phase waves, to cut down on noise. At least, that's what my physics teacher has told me.
  6. Playable at E3 for PC. I bet...It's not even officially announced for anything other than PC. Not sure why it's on an Xbox site. I hope they don't release it there, that would be an ultimate kick in the pants. But anyways, it will require a graphics card that doesn't even exist yet, and Windows Vista (DX10, see...). And that's a terrible tech demo (all the enemies are sitting there, and shooting in the wrong direction :\. Hope it lives up to Far Cry's standards. But anyways, yea looks good. Graphics are intense. But this is relatively old news.
  7. The government?! I'm not letting those fools touch my PC. ... Seriously though, what's so government about it? What is it?
  8. Lol, stealth release. Just because it doesn't have TV commercials doesn't mean it's stealthy. For a few weeks leading up all the gaming mags/sites had a lot of previews/ads/reviews for it. But anyways, it looks all right. I'd never get it though. Aparently it's too short.
  9. There's a massive sticky about pet pictures. It would get more exposure there (it may not seem like it, but since this is probably going to get locked...).
  10. Buuuurn. And I'll be pretty much in the same situation as you, but in 1 year. I have no money saved up, have no idea what it's going to be like, have no clue what I'm taking (you have this established though, right?), have never spent time away from home, am not very sociable, already spend all my free time to maintain fair grades. I'm screwed :|. I guess my point is, you're not alone.
  11. I watched Cool Hand Luke. Pretty good, but too long. Not Newman's best, and overall a fair but not particularly memorable movie. There's not too much else needs to be said.
  12. Watched Rain Man last night. Incredible acting on both parts, Cruise doesn't get enough credit for this I don't think (since he's obviously overshadowed by Hoffman), but this may be his best performance (maybe his best movie aswell, though I liked Collateral). Excellent all around, good writing dialogue-wise and otherwise. Good time. This week: Cool Hand Luke, and later in the week, Raging Bull (finally). Then we'll have to wait and see what comes on the weekend.
  13. Both, but in this case, I was refering to Empire Strikes back over Bladerunner.
  14. The obvious choice, by a huge margin (though I own both). Star Wars Ep. V The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
  15. Must...use...Internet Explorer.
  16. Watched The Chonicles of Narnia: and so on. I went in thinking it would be a cheese fest, as these type of movies tend to be. But as the movie started, I was pleasently surprised. It had good pacing, and looked like it was going places. And it kept its pase for a good 2/3, before slumping into just my fears. It started spouting those terribly cheesy lines, and coupled with some awkward scenes it lost it's pretty good qualities. I suppose the battle was pretty good, and the children's acting was for the most part pretty good (which can often destroy movies). Overall a decent movie, made better by cupcakes ;).
  17. I think you should be less worried that it was posted 18 months ago, and more worried that was an unfunny waste of time.
  18. Hmmmm. It's just come to my attention that Vista will only run on DX10 ready cards. Does this mean I should hold out on buying one, or is my comp not good enough anyway? Is it advisable to get one soon, or wait til they have DX10 cards (I know the price will be double or triple...Let's just talk as though money were no object)

Looks like a vast improvement on the original. Other good ones: Brokeback to the Future, Toy Story Requiem.
  20. I watched The Squid and the Whale. I was kind of enjoying it for the first 10 minutes or so...Then it pretty much entirely cut off anything that could be considered comedy (genre=comedy/drama), and went all drama arthouse kind of thing. It was well acted, and relatively well-written, but I'll say it like I've said it before: I just don't like this kind of arthouse-ish movie, and for some reason I keep watching them. It was just too dull to keep my interest once it started getting dramatic, and in an 80 minute movie thats weak. I dunno, it was probably good, just really not my type of movie.
  21. The mainstream is so neglected, it now rivals the underground. Atleast on these boards. And by mainstream, do you mean who've ever been mainstream, or are mainstream at the moment.
  22. Dude, I swear you must watch that movie every week. You've posted it three times since March 28, unless my eyes are failing me. And goodfellas twice.
  23. Bleh, I thought it was better than that. Sounds about right. What is a 7600 comparable to from ATI? (for the price comparison). And do you feel nVidia has advantages on ATI (you seem to suggest nVidia). I know some games prefer it, and some prefer ATI...
  24. I watched Following. Considering the estimated budget (6000$) this was amazing. It was so very Chris Nolan-esque, but it really, really seemed like a dress rehersal for Memento. But that's not to say it isn't a great movie in it's own right. The plot seemed a bit too much, but still compelling. It twists a lot and while some are good, and it's overall cleverly written, some of them are kind of eye-rolling, since there's so many variables on what could have happened, and it just worked out way too well. But overall I would say it was well written. The acting was good enough, and I didn't have too much trouble with the accents...It is funny though that they drink out of tiny coffee cups. Is that typical in the UK? But anyways, the directing was good, especially considering the budget. It looked great in B/w, and I liked some of the techniques. Overall, and excellent noir-ish crime thriller, if a bit over-the-top.
  25. Pfff...I never went outside... and.... ... Wait, he's got a point.
