  1. It doesn't have to be big. And what does it matter when a movie is from that makes it good?
  2. If they get a competant director for the Max Payne movie, it will be one of the best movies ever. Of course, that never happens. They need good actors too. Lol, and I don't really understand the Hitman movie that's coming out, with Vin Diesal (right?). I can't really see them making an amazing screenplay out of it. You never know, though. I'll still see it.
  3. Watched King Kong (the new one, of course). Many flaws keep it from being great, but it works, and I was relatively entertained. It was way too long though, considering the story that goes with it. Jack Black was excellent :).
  4. Would it really surprise you, though?
  5. Do you have a specs sheet for your computer that lists your mobo? Is there anyway to check on my comp? I donno what you mean by sheet.
  6. It seems the next big thing from Blizzard is going to be another MMORPG, this time, in the Starcraft universe. Full article and screens here: http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/worldofstarcraft/news.html?sid=6146918 This may be a April Fool's joke, who knows. It wouldn't surprise me though, if it's true. I don't really care really. Just don't say I didn't warn you. Personally, I've never played Starcraft (one of only a select few of big-name PC games I don't have), but I bet this will be huge. The article says it's coming out for Korea first (probably a wise move). Looks kinda cool, but I kinda wish they'd work on Diablo 3, or maybe, I donno a new franchise? There's also some other big news from a well-known PC game franchise (though this news is not new today, actually about a week old now). But here's gamespy.com's description: Battlefield 2142 The year is 2142, and the dawn of a new ice age has thrown the world into a panic. The math is simple and brutal: The soil not covered by ice can only feed a fraction of the Earth's population. Some will live, most will die. Players will choose to fight for one of two military superpowers in an epic battle for survival, the European Union or the newly formed Pan Asian Coalition. Armed with a devastating arsenal of hi-tech assault rifles, cloaking devices and sentry guns, players will also do battle using some of the most imposing vehicles known to man. Massive battle Mechs wage fierce combat on the ground, while futuristic aircraft rule the skies. When facing one of these new behemoths, players will need to use their wits and an arsenal of new countermeasures like EMP grenades to level the playing field.
  7. Hey Nadril, how do you know if you're graphics card/motherboard is PCI, or PCI-e, or AGP? Since I'm probably buying a new graphics card in a few months, and want to know if I can...

But isn't it the capital of...Wait, is it Cyrodill we're playing in? (I almost called it Faerun...) Anyways...I'm nearly done the Mage's Guild, I have a lot of money (and seemingly very limited Magicka...It's only 230 or someone, and I'm a Breton) I run faster than most horses (speed=110, birthsign=steed) and I'm level 24. I'm just about ready to start the main quest!

It's quite easy to work you're way around capital city. All the things are so clearly marked, and you can fast travel from one sector to the other...It's hard to get lost when the things are called "Arena" and "Market" and "Jail" or something to that effect.
  10. The first time I watched it it was one of the funniest movie's I'd ever seen. The second time I barely laughed...As with most comedies, when you know what's coming it's no longer funny (on an off note: this is why the old episodes of the Simpsons are so funny; I know exactly what happens in every episode, but every time I watch them, I notice/understand something I've never picked up on before, or am reaquainted with an amazing old quote.
  11. No explanaton :P Pink Floyd - Shine on you crazy diamond This one is problably because you have to listen to 10 minutes of solos to get to Waters singing. A) For a seven minute song, it's one of the only long-ish songs I wish would go on for twice as long (and when comparing that to other Floyd songs, it's possitively short/average). B) There's some amazing solos (not all of the time is completely amazing, such as the times where it's just starting...the wierd single synth type thing). But overall, I think some of the solos are much better than the words, and I donno why, but the singing seems oddly...not amazing. Good words, they just don't sound as good as other words in other songs...hmmmm, yes that makes sence.

My Gig-o-Ram is here and installed....It runs SO much faster now, still on low res graphics, but my video card is terrible so that's probably the reason. Still, it runs VERY smooth now with 1.5gb of RAM.
  13. Watched Taxi Driver, because of my Wednesday off. An excellent, excellent movie, the best Scorcese I've seen I'd say. The first half was especially excellent, then Scorcese picked up the pace, and I think it may have suffered slightly...Travis and Iris' relationship was very brief and you never really got to know them. But it was excellent, I went in expecting a tragedy, and what I got was an unexpected ending, that was pretty good too. Excellent camera work, neo-noir excellence. Time for Oblivion.
  14. Took it last year. That means I get the morning off. And in theory I should be going this afternoon, but I'm not.
  15. The more Oblivion you play, the more you'll want to play...I had the same feelings you had, but it grew on me over a few days. You won't have time to watch all the Planet of the Apses :).
  16. Ever notice how games never seem to come out for just the PS2 and computer? Or Gamecube and computer? It always seems to go either all of them, or xbox and PC, or ps2 and gamecube, or xbox and ps2, or xbox, ps2 and PC. I'm not sure what my point is, but I assume it's easier to port Xbox games to PC or PS2 games to Xbox than Ps2 to PC. On topic: Remember: PC has a massive library spanning back 20 years, and hundreds of classics.
  17. I watched Paths of Glory. It was quite good, acting and writing, and direction, but not amazing (not deserving of it's place on IMDB). It was just good...With a usually clear message. I thought it was pretty good Kubrick in a non-Kubricky sorta way. He really likes his long, (I'm not sure what their called) backing up shots, where he follows someone in one long shot along a long pathway. I'd say pretty good movie. Tommorow is Taxi Driver. I am very excited.

Yep, it does get quite annoying. I'm thinking the reason is the size of the files used for voice dialogue. I know the game is huge with the DVD disk and all but I would have loved a second DVD for the PC composed purely of voice clips. I'm praying for a nice patch sometime in the next few months... I have no problem downloading a 500MB patch, my BF2 ones are already 300MB  It's either filesizes or they spent all their money on Patrick Stewart  I heard on one of the dev vids that voices take up a huge amount of the space compared to the other things. But I don't even care about the voice. It's kinda nice, but after playing games like "Torment" when you look at how little they actually say, it would be easy to just read it. I mean, when I hear the same thing over an over, with the same voice...Get's annoying. And notice: All black women have the same voice, and I think all the lizard women have the same too.

Lol, I agree VOV. I've been told that (paraphrase) "many mages have left the Mage's Guild lately because they outlawed Necromancy" about 150 times. Every time I ask for rumors I get that (well, I spend a lot of time in the mage's guild, but still...they even use the same words).

Good news! My new RAM is here...I ordered Sunday afternoon, and it came Tuesday morning (am I the only one impressed by this?) So I'm up from 512 (yick) to 1.5gig. Should run much better (still not good[bad graphix card]), still not good detail, but hopefully it will clean up the framerate ;). Score one for the good guys.
  21. I would say (do you really expect me to say anything else) to just probably get a new PC (if you're gonna get all that other stuff, you might as well have it come as a whole piece, and not have to worry about Indy's problem...and you get all the fixens, new fans etc, peripherals etc.) Next to that, I'd say I don't really care...Either console is fine, I have no preference until the next GTA comes to PS3 before anything else. But if you want to play on a console with friends...Ask someone else about consoles.
  22. I was a fan of fps, but I got bored so I moved to something else... In classic fps, yeah Doom and Duke Nuken! CS isnt so old, but I still remember when I played, then I moved to BF. I played Half Life just a couple of times, I bought that box were come Counter, Half Life, Opposing Force, and Blue Shift, never played the last 2... :P fps for today, maybe Battlefield series! Of course I prefer Battlefield Vietnam :D ~komodo Play the bolded one when you get the chance, it's an amazing expansion to the game. blue shift was ok. You might as well play Blue Shift too...It's only about 4 hours long.

This is SO hard now. Cuz I accidentally (well, it was on purpose, but I didn't understand the reprecutions at the time) got my Alteration to 100...Now I'm level 19, fighting with Jorneyman level destruction spells and terrible blade skill/strength. Now EVERY thing I fight is like a boss fight...Bears and mountain lions take 5 minutes to kill, and when a bandit comes at me, it's an epic, village spanning battle that takes lots of timing and luck. My spells suck, and until I'm in the arcane university I can't get too much better...This is terribly hard.
  24. You gotta stop. It's taking over you're life. Anyways, I watched "Good Night, and Good Luck". It wasn't quite what I expected. Great direction, great acting, but I couldn't get involved in the story. It just had no relevance to someone my age...It was a fine movie, just not something I'd probably watch again. This was very short also, like 87 mins.
  25. 3 months in fast food = New car? What Fastfood is this! ^.^ ~komodo Not a new car  . Basically worked out to 3 1/2 months = 14 weeks 14 weeks X 32 average hours = 448 hours Roughly 5 dollars per hour after tax etc. X 384 hours = $2240 dollars (car cost $1,800-2,000) Worked my but off for it, and it's mine :D What you mean to say, is you bought a bike that you nicknamed "car"? But what kind of "car" and how many miles were on it?
