What movie(s) did you last see?
Hmmm...I watched Seven Samurai. I'm not sure how to feel just now. I'm getting lots of contrasting feelings...Where should I start? Alright...I'll start by saying that the directing/camerawork was at times poor, and sometimes incredible. I think the former was in part due to old techniques, and perhaps also lack of technology/re-mastering (when you look at the quality in this compared to, say Rear Window of the same year, its all splotchy and the camerapeople didn't really smoothly move the camera. Comical! But on the other hand, at sometimes I would just be able to look at the screen and my jaw would drop. This movie holds some of the most amazing shots I've ever seen, especially in the last 20 minutes. The hole mud/rain/mist combat thing was incredible...I could just watch that last thing over and over...It was amazingly well put together. It really made me wish the rest of the movie was like that. The rest seemed to be switching back and forth between beautiful and downright ugly. The acting was pretty much the same deal. The Seven Samurai were all great, and a few of the villagers were pretty good...But as Indy said when he said it, it's often horrendous and occassionally funny. I did thooroughly enjoy the acting of the samurai though...It was consistantly good, and occassionally exceptional. I particularly enjoyed the funny man, but even more the good samurai...the one who is the best at actually fighting. I loved it when he just leaves in the night, comes back with a gun and says something to the effect of "Killed two" and then goes to sleep. Awesome :). The story was sufficient, I really liked the ending. It was REALLY long. It sort of dragged on a bit, (there were times around the beginning to middle when I was really struggling to keep my eyes open (it was necessary to read the subtitles)) It really doesn't matter what movie it is, no movie should be this long...It neared 3 1/2 hours, and while it didn't drag that bad, just the fact that it was that long lended it self to draggage...Ifunowutimean. I also couldn't believe that in Japan 1954 they could make sure an epic, grand film. That was an addition. However, this should have no effect. As I see it, a timeless classic is a timeless classic because it's great. You shouldn't have to rely on this to make it better. This was definately a grand film. Overall, I would stand somewhere between Indy and How2pk...I would say it was a good movie, and a grand movie, but not necessarily a great movie. It may be low on my top 100, but it definately didn't suck, and it definately isn't number 2 on my list. I was kinda mad that it took from when I got home from school and situated, to like 7:30. I don't think I'm gonna do my homework. I'm a rebel.

Favourite detective movie?
I donno...TUS is really more of a crime movie. L.A. Confidential, Chinatown, Maltese Falcon...All these are good movies, but not like top 10. Se7en is AMAZING, if you haven't seen it, do! and also, you might wanna make the text real small, because people's (ie. my) eyes have a tendency to wander and pick up major plotpoints and ruin movies. I've seen it already, but you might still wanna make it in small print.

Olympics On Friday
Lol, Olympics are very boring to me...It seems the only reason you're cheering is because it's your country. Not that patriotism is bad, but do we really need a handful of athletes to tell the status of our nation? You've never even hear of the athletes until the Olympics start (or possibly shortly before) then you forget their names/never hear from them again/until the next Olympics. But on a side note, I find Luge to be a terribly pointless sport, but Bobsled is tremendously fun to watch. It doesn't seem particularly skill/strength oriented (aside from a good push-off), and then they fling down an ice-shoot faster than cars drive on a highway. And when they do their run at the start, everyones screaming, it's just funny to me.

Blaaargh! Puberty is teh'...
Ewwww I've never heard of that. Even those cheese slices are made of some sort of Milk Ingredients.

Blaaargh! Puberty is teh'...
I was on that...The only thing is you're only supposed to be on it for 30 days at a time...30 days on, 30 days off (or so my doctor says...and he's very good) so just as my acne was clearing up after 30 days, I ran out and had to go off, and it came back...Hopefully I'll be able to go back on at the end of the month...But yea, it does work pretty good.

Which movie are you most looking foreward to this year?
Southland Tales (if you look at this on IMDB...well, it might just be the best movie of all time...) Flags of our Fathers-Looks VERY promising Miami Vice-How could you go wrong with the director of Collateral re-doing his own TV series with a new Miami flavor... I'll have to wait til later in the year to start getting more info on the movie coming in between October-December...

What movie(s) did you last see?
I watched Crimson Tide...it wasn't amazing, but it was alright for a Saturday night...Nothing revolutionary, kind of forgettable, but it did it's job, and I was somewhat entertained. It just seemed a bit too wild, and it was no where near as clever as The Hunt for Red October. I haven't seen Das Boot.

Tone up on you're Jedi mind tricks, and they will pay for it too.

YuMmY cAnDy
Skittles are good, but they go down burny. For example, one day a few weeks ago I decided to enjoy some skittles after completing my exams. I bought a 191g bag, and ate almost all of them before I was even home (I waited around, and walked home, though). By the end, my tounge was red and like burnt, like the wild shards of crusty candy and sugar and sliced my mouth all over. Wicked pain :(. This is why I prefer Star Burst. You can eat as many as you want, and all you have to deal with is that feeling like you're getting diabetes.

Worst clothing styles you've had?
Thats because those kids usually get beat up... As for me, in elementary school I always wore collared shirts and kinda shortish shorts. The worst part was until 4th grade I had the ugliest mullet (shudders). Mullets are tangible evidence of evil. And by evil, you of course mean evidence of roundhouse kicks. Chuck Norris had a mullet. In conclusion, mullets are the best hairstyle of all time. Anyways, I had a mad bowl haircut, and I pretty much wore what ever I got as Christmas gifts and whatever didn't look completely stupid. Considering I was 11 by the end of the 90's, style didn't really affect me too too much.

What movie(s) did you last see?
American History X. This was an extremely well-done film. What could have been just a film about racism managed to really get you involved emotionally with the characters and in the whole thought process. I haven't seen this powerful of movie in a long time, if ever. It really does get you thinking. I can't even express in words how well it was made to make this happen, as I am normally just an audience to a movie, then I move on. The story was amazing, everything seemed in place, I loved how it jumped to flashbacks often. Edward Norton is AMAZING in this (see his sinister grin before getting arrested?). It was fittingly brutal, didn't hold much back. (My older bro told me it was disturbing...not particularly, save for the shower scene...yick) Just...everything seemed right. Really, this is an incredible film, just don't bring the kiddies. P.S. This week I shall see who is right: Indy500fan or How2PK. That's right! I rented Seven Samurai! (and added another to my "Not at Blockbuster" list: Double Indemnity)

School Trips...
My school has trips going all around the world...But seeing as how I don't have thousands of dollars to throw around at will, and I need to save for further education, I don't/won't ever go. Wouldn't really want to anyway...Might as well go on a trip once I'm done school and get to choose where I want to go and what I want to do without curfews/supervision etc.

Rascism in Quebec.
A lot of them are billingual anyway. Especially in places like Montreal.

Rascism in Quebec.
Prejudice, racism, etc. It's all hatred because of cultural difference. My girlfriend told me a story about a tour they went on before. In a restaurant in Quebec (as in the city), some kid around our age (17-16) started making fun of her for being non-white. I just wished I was there to tell the guy off. I mean like pretty much EVERYONE in Canada is an immigrant. IIRC, only the First Nations are the native culture here. First Nations people migrated from Asia thousands of years ago IIRC, across the ice bridge the used to connect Alaska to Russia. So they are technically immigrants aswell. Pretty much everyone on earth is an immigrant of somewhere I just realized technicalities is one of my pet peeves :P :D

Is restaurant ketchup better than normal bottled ketchup?
Well, the McDonalds catsup (yes, CATSUP) used to be imported from America to all the chains...But all the Harvey's stuff in the packets is made in Canada. I'm pretty sure the American stuff has a different recipe...I'm not sure if they still use American catsup in McDonalds, I haven't eaten there in almost 3 years.

Surprised no one has made this topic yet...
I tough you were a girl  :x Why does everyone think this... just cause of my avater and sig? If I didn't know any better I'd have thought you were a girl...I think it's mostly the avatar. Perhaps you should consider a more macho approach, (ie. my avatar)

If you were a teacher...
I don't think I'd be able to be a grade 7-8 teacher...They seem to be the pretty much jerkiest type of kids, I'd probably end up hitting one and get fired. I'd probably be a highschool teacher, teaching the smarter kids...Hopefully I'd teach ancient history, or possibly regular history or something to that effect. It always seemed like a sweet gig...You got you're relatively easy tests to mark, the occassional essay...And the rest of the time you get to talk about neato stuff (my ancient history teacher pretty much covered every topic known to man..) Plus you get fair pay (not good, but if you stay for a long time it's not too bad), excellent benifits, pension, and a like 2 month holiday. Only downside - You probably wouldn't get to work where you wanted, and most of the day you're working with people who aren't your age. I'd probably be a nice enuf teacher, and probably want to teach some non-compulsary subject (if you taught like grade 12 math to kids, and you weren't an amazing teacher, you'd pretty much screw them from university).

Call of duty 2 or F.E.A.R? Vote!
I'm still trying to beat all the games of the past 7 years or so...I got all the best games of 2004 finished...Many from 2003...And I'm playing so many RPGS...But when I get to the point where I get to 2005, I'm going to probably buy whatever's cheaper first (I saw directors cut of FEAR for 78$ at EB games and I nearly pooped.)

What movie(s) did you last see?
THAT IS A HILARIOUS MOVIE. I watched that last week (didn't post because I didn't actually see the entire thing). I was seriously laughing almost constantly...I love movie's that don't hold back...I pretty much don't laugh that much at PG-13 or less movies unless they are quite clever...And since this is sort of a gross-out comedy (I'm not easily grossed out at all), I was ROFLing often. When he was chewing the dog doo...Everyone else in the world I've talked too said that was too gross, I was going nuts. BTW - How was Band Camp? I heard it wasn't very good.

My Mouse Acting Really Weird?
I have an entirely dill mouse-pad, and mine still shoots up and spins you around during FPS a lot...Really screws you up, but I can live with it. It only happens once a day tops. Also, occassionally when I leave my comp idle on the desktop for a few minutes sometimes, the laser mouse completely shuts off, and I have to restart. That annoys me a lot more.

Schools boring :p
Physics, Chemistry, Math and Gym...My days are so dull, that it's very difficult to find any sort of fun. It's not that I do poorly (I do fine, nothing amazing...), it's just that when people say "You'll miss it when you leave", it makes me wonder are crappy 'outside life' must be...

What movie(s) did you last see?
Yeah I had to tape Maltese Falcon off of TV in the middle of the night when I wanted to watch it (well that's early 40's but wut ev).
