  1. I have 10 friends I'd pretty much trust with anything, 2 of those also happen to be ex girlfriends. And something that I'm quite glad about, is that me and my friends found out that another of our friends is bisexual. That day we were hanging out with him, having fun. It actually made me happy, because I had no clue what my friends really thought about someone not being straight.

I start Tuesday, and my schedule will look like this. Wake up 8am Eat, get ready, all that jazz. Get to school around 8:45-9 (Starts at 9) School ends 3:15 Football until about 6. Get home, eat, mess around, maybe do homework, or even better work until 11-12, then sleep. My classes first semester are: Chemistry 4U, Biology 4U, Computer Science 4U, Fitness. 4U just means its Grade 12, and a course that universities will accept. Also once football is over I'll probably be hanging out with my friends until about 7. But then when rugby starts in the Spring it'll be the same thing as football. Second semester I have: English 4U, Philosophy 4U, Exercise Science 4U, and then Physics 4U. Thankfully I finished the two 4U Math courses last year, Advanced Functions, then Calculus and Vectors, so I in fact am going to have 9 4U courses finished by the end of high school.
  3. First real run in too long, about 6.5km in about 40 minutes, which I definitely plan on improving. Mmmm I love the feeling of exhaustion.
  4. 1. A walking cast for an injury near or of the ankle, and if it's for a leg break, then it was either only a fracture, or a break that is nearly healed. Can also be used for sprains and soft tissue damage. 2. Near or of the knee. Same deal with the first. 3. Fibreglass cast for a lower leg: ankle break. Used for more serious breaks. Also, your femur is your thigh bone, so you're talking about your tibia or fibula. Unless of course you ARE talking about your femur, in which case you and you sister have different casts because they're different breaks.
  5. I'm beginning to think I need to find new friends. Definitely not to replace mine, but people I can bring into the group that actually DO something. Me and my friends rarely get around to anything. It annoys me, because as more of the group moves away, it happens that the people that are left are the ones that are more into drugs. Note drugs, not just weed. Stuff like MDMA, ketamine, e. That actually starts to bother me, especially when I have to say that the highlight of some of the times we hang out is literally just going to get their drugs. So yeah, new friends, both guys and girls, are my new short-term goal.
  6. Thanks. And I was thinking that to expand on the idea, i pretty much make my body a globe, and try to visit every ocean and sea, and go into it. Then get the name of the ocean/sea tattooed in the appropriate place. Then if the career I choose doesn't care so much about professionalism, expand on that with drawings. Something I want to do is have each tattoo done at the place of the memory, so that the meaning is even more embedded in the tattoo. That's one of the only two rules I'm going to decide on tattoos by, it has to be meaningful, and it needs to be somewhere that is discreet and where the skin won't sag so much with age, hence upper back for my ideas. And I could've sworn that "From sea to sea to sea" was either from a quote of Sir John A. Macdonald (Canada's first Prime Minister), or Psalm 72:8 (The reason Canada is the Dominion of Canada): "He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.". Apparently there is no real quote that is "From sea to sea to sea", however I'll still stick to it. I also found out that Canada's motto is "A Mari usque ad Mare", which means "From sea to sea". If I learn French fluently enough, I may also add to the tattoo and put in the French translation of "From sea to sea to sea". And I plan on doing travelling just before university, and either studying in BC, or if I can't get into an engineering program in BC, backpacking/hitchhiking it back from there home, as two of my friends already plan on making a road trip out to Vancouver to go to university there.
  7. 1. Submerge (At least) my left arm in the Pacific Ocean 2. Submerge (At least) my right arm in the Atlantic Ocean 3. Submerge (At least) my head in the Arctic Ocean 4. Get the following tattoo: On my back, Pacific below my left shoulder, Atlantic below my right, Arctic at the base of my neck. "...from sea to sea to sea" on my upper back, in between the three. 5. Find something (Or someone) I am absolutely passionate about, and live the rest of my life for it. 6. Any other travels I do will be documented by a tattoo. I want to cover my entire body. 7. See the sun rise/set in every (Major) time zone. 8. Have a full conversation with someone without ever knowing their name. 9. Be a part of something like . I plan on having 1 completed by the end of next summer, 2 either done that same summer, or the summer after. 3 I want to be done shortly after I've completed university, or at the latest a couple years after. 4 is going to be done concurrently with 1-3, but the final line won't be added until 1-3 are finished. 5-9 are things I'm going to do throughout my life.
  8. Personally I think you have a good skin tone, no need to go off tanning. In all honesty, the best thing I'd recommend is more "noticeable clothing". What I mean is stuff that is eye-catching from a distance, but still something that can be ignored to talk to you. More light colours, and brighter. Also, maybe try and get some interesting things. If you're going to take Dan's advice and go with a piercing, don't go out on your own. Go with some friends, make it a trip. In fact, I suggest you don't plan on when you're going to get your piercing, just plan on it sometime. The point of this is that, if you happen to stumble downtown at some point, and you and your friends have yourself an "adventure", something to make an interesting story, that the piercing could be linked to that story. It'll give you a good conversation topic, and also give the piercing some sort of meaning (It might also make more girls find it more attractive). It's like how a cool tattoo without a story or meaning isn't that interesting past a couple minutes. But a cool tattoo with a story and meaning? Personally, I think that is one of the most interesting alterations someone can make to their body. Just my opinion on body modifications, they have to mean something to be interesting. For your hair, I can think of two different possibilities: Cut your hair short. Like buzz cut (about 3/4 inch in length). You can try even shorter if you want, see how it looks as it grows in. Short hair rarely looks bad on any guy. Fauxhawk. Also, if there's any hair style you've always wanted to try, try it. Hair grows back in a couple of months, and worst comes to worst you can get a buzz cut the next day. Oh and don't smirk, smile, with both cheeks and show some teeth.
  9. Think of someone you hate. Think of someone you'd hate to be you. Then when you're lifting, imagine them right beside you, doing better than you are. It's what I do with everything. It's competition without having to worry about grudges against someone just because they can lift more than you. Can also end up being kind of hilarious, as the person I imagine is always dressed in full hockey gear.
  10. What if it's against discriminators? California is the gayest state in the US. I've probably given my two scents about this several times but I guess once more couldn't hurt for the newer readers and whatnot. I think homosexuality is gross in the same way I think eating peanut butter with meatloaf is gross. It's just one of those things I'm personally revolted by, but there is nothing really "wrong" or "immoral" about it so I'm not bothered by the fact that others enjoy it. I feel the same way against heterosexuality, I honestly do. It just looks.... wrong... to me. (as bizarre as that may sound.) Lolwat? It's basic human biology, you must be heterosexual to reproduce, unless you become a sperm donor ofcourse You're interests have no impact whatsoever on your biology. Every human being, with the exception of those unfortunate enough to be sterile/infertile, has the ability to reproduce. Being homosexual just means that you choose not to reproduce. Note: I say choose because I consider homosexuality a choice just like it is your choice to breathe. You can choose not to breathe, but eventually you're going to either give in to your instincts or die. Also, you need to realize that sexuality isn't black and white. It's a range of greys. Just like how some people who say they're straight, but would be open to "experimentation", you can't just label someone as hetero/homosexual/bisexual to get a true grasp of what their sexuality really is. Just to top it off, sexuality is psychological, not biological.
  11. Plus, girls are fun to have as friends. Especially the more up front ones. +10 points if they're a lesbian as well. I have a friend that's a lesbian, she's very blunt and pretty much a [bleep]. So much fun to talk to and hang out with. But yeah, I'd prefer to be friends with most girls rather than dating/pursuing.
  12. I honestly couldn't say. So many parts of my life are different. I can be awkward socially at times, but the total opposite at others. I'm on the computer a lot. I play a lot of sports. Me and my friend [cabbage] disturb alot. We drink, we mess around at parties. Then I also have my friends that are more on the preppy side. I'm a prep, I'm a jock, I'm a nerd, I'm a punk. Have a conversation with me and you can decide what I am.
  13. Just so you know, you should be able to find a 45-60 minute massage for around $40-55. But yeah, the best way to fix back problems is fix whats causing them, ie bad posture, bad form when deadlifting/squating, etc. Stretching really helps after working out, certainly something I'd recommend. Particularly good are: Sit down on the ground, legs out in front of you. Place your right foot just to the left of your LEFT knee, so that your knee is bent. Twist your body to your right, and put left arm on the right side of your right knee. Straighten your back and push against your knee with your elbow. You should feel this in your lower back/glutes/maybe even upper back. Reverse the position . A second is to lie on your back, with your head on the floor. Bring one knee to your chest, pulling with your arms. Make sure to keep your head on the floor, switch legs. A third is to lie on your back, spread your arms out to your side. Look to your right, then twist your lower body to your left, as if you're trying to touch your right knee to the floor on the left side of your body. If you don't feel any stretch, you can go further by trying to bring your right foot to your left hand. Always keep your back as straight as possible. And again, remember to switch sides/legs.
  14. The thing is that she IS bringing it up, about how she's not used to being single/missing him. Unless of course you mean bringing it up that they get back together. But Thammaron thinks she'll be fine, so I'll leave it be. EDIT: Just so you know I'm always going to argue in favour of voluntarily telling the truth as soon as possible, mostly because not doing so probably ended the best relationship I've had to date.
  15. Anyone remember this? Well, it finally happened, a few days ago. It happened after her trip to California, mainly because I didn't make a decision before she left and didn't have the chance to do it then. I think it was on July 30th-ish. When she got home, she texted me about how she feels like we are more like friends and not a couple. I was really happy, because she felt the same thing. The only thing was that she wanted to fix it and I didn't. The next day, she came into my work on my break to talk to me. This is the first time i've seen her since she got back from the trip, too. She was still particularly pissed about all of the pictures of me and other friends that were girls from a previous vacation. She talked about how we never hang out because we are always gone somewhere or don't have the time, and how when we do hang out it feels like we just hang out as friends. I obviously agreed with her. She wanted to fix it and keep the relationship going, but I said that I don't have the time or energy to put into a relationship right now because of school, work, and vacations (I was leaving on a two week vacation to Idaho to see family the next day). I suggested we break it off for the time being and just be friends. She agreed, saying things like we can get back together when things settle down or whatever. She called it a "break". I'm pretty happy with this, because there wasn't a big fight or anything, it happened rather smoothly. She was very sad, and a little mad I think that I didn't want to continue, and still about the pictures. We've talked a little bit since, just about random stuff like college. Sometimes she'll send me texts like she misses me or it's so weird being single, things like that. If you guys remember I didn't want to do it before her Cali trip cause I didn't want to ruin it. When we were talking she told me she was kind of depressed the last couple of days because we haven't been talking and she started thinking of all the things I just wrote, us just feeling like friends and not a couple. She also informed me that she had 2 friends that wanted to beat me up. All in all, I think it went down well, and thanks for your help! [/hide] I have one question for you, do you see yourself getting back together with her, and actually reciprocating her feelings? Because if you don't, it's something you should tell her, that this "break" is probably going to be indefinite.
  16. I really don't know what a soul is, or even if I believe in one. Every time I get to trying to explain what I might think a soul is, I start fabricating this elaborate story about how the soul functions, how it is related to our body, what happens after death, etc. The problem is that in the end I don't really believe these things. I just look at what I wrote and say "That's a load of bs". MaybeI don't think a soul exists, and I'll take the cynical view of us not having any choice, any real freedom of thought of anything. Everything we do, say, and think could be predicted if someone could know how everything in the universe worked, and the exact state of the universe. Our thoughts are brought about by the electrical discharges in our brain, our personality is derived from patterns in the way our neural pathways happened to form. But even with this, it still seems like I have the choice, so it doesn't matter.

My thoughts on this movie: So I loved the movie, I absolutely loved it. It made me think, it made me go over every bit of the movie to try and come to my own conclusion about the ending. Even if there were only 2 possible situations, so mine would be no where near unique. However, while i love what I took from the movie, I agree with How2PK on is critique of the movie. It is horrible is you look at it with the basics of a movie in mind. Emotion, plot, characters, acting, setting. There is little emotion, the plot was very predictable as far as I'm concerned, and pretty boring. I mean, first the main problem is presented as Cobbs getting the idea out of the guys head. Then it's Cobbs pulling off inception. Then all of a sudden the real plot is Cobbs is trying to go back home! But then that storyline isn't emphasized much, and this all becomes about Cobbs pulling off inception. The main plot is never clear, right up to the end. The characters are mostly shallow, and quite frankly confusing. Never is there any hint that Cobbs has any memory of his wife being the amazing person she supposedly was. Yeah, there's his guilt over what he did, but you'd figure that at some point in the movie, we would have seen a Mal that was in love with Cobbs, that he loved. Instead there's always the crazed psychotic [bleep] at every turn. Also, how is it that Mal is able to enter the dreams? No one else has any of their demons popping out of no where. Then you have the bad-ass (The forger), the token minority (Chemist), the concerned supporting actress (Ellen), the intellectual (The guy that fights in zero gravity). Cobbs is pretty much the only character that can't be summed up in a matter of words. The acting was quite good. However acting is used to deliver the characters, so really it can only ever spoil a good story. The setting was pretty much the best a setting could ever be in this kind of film. It was simply a setting, and wasn't meant to make some sort of artistic claim or be a show off of CGI, it was just a setting. So pretty much, because the characters were lacking, there was a confused plot, and so there wasn't much of a movie. There was an idea, one that has been used quite often, but one me and my friends have never really seen in a movie ourselves. So I love that the movie made me think, but I hate that it didn't make me feel. Oh, and How2PK, while I agree with you, you're sounding like a douche.
  18. You can also substitute potatoes for the rice if you want a change, maybe even throw in some onions and peppers for flavour. Another meal you could make: Ground beef/Chicken Tortilla (Made from corn meal) Red/Green peppers Onion Cook the beef or chicken in a frying pan. While that's cooking, dice up the peppers and onions, until you have about 3/4 of a cup. When the meat is done cooking, take out the meat and throw the diced vegetables in the pan, with a touch of olive oil. The veggies will cook in a couple minutes. Mix it all together in a bowl and wrap it up in a tortilla. This tastes great and takes about 20 minutes to make. Also, if you're going to eat something, and want some veggies, frying up sliced peppers and mushrooms and quartered onions tastes great and is ridiculously quick to make. You can even throw in some zucchini. Something you should do is look into recipes that revolve around rice and chicken, they'd probably be the best suited to you allergies, along with the cheapest.

If I could be in any time period, at any time, I would choose 1,000 years ago, where I live now. Aboriginal Canadians have always intrigued me, and I consider their way of life to be the most "civilized". Respect for everything, especially the most destructive force this world knows, the environment.
  20. Get a professional massage and have your entire back done, with lower back focus. Feels amazing and helps with bad muscles so much. But you have to remember to try and not tense up. It makes it harder for your therapist to work you muscles, and it makes anything he/she does less effective. Also, in all honesty, going as many times as possible is best, especially if you're doing a lot of weight lifting or sports. Rugby destroys my back and neck, and a massage pretty much undoes any damage I do during the course of two/three games. Best thing to do is improve your posture. No slouching, maintain a natural lumbar.
  21. I'm born again, but in a different universe. I wouldn't keep my memories though. This cycle would just keep on repeating itself. Either that or I'm reborn, just in the same universe. But that isn't the afterlife, is it? I'd even settle for just reliving my life over and over again, maybe even with throwing in the chance of going through every possibility. Still no memories from past lives though.
  22. I'd step outside and face the explosion, so I can just watch it until the shockwave hits me. Tears would be streaming down my face, and my only, desperate thought would be "WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP GOD DAMMIT WAKE UP".
  23. People will get mad, they will strike back. Rather than commit a real crime, they (The people who are serious about P2P) will strike back the way they know best, through their computers. It will take a lot to make that happen, as it will always be easier to just start over again. In all honesty, the people of the internet will always win over the government and corporations.
  24. RPG, I'm the opposite. I prefer older girls because they aren't as high maintenance, and more independent. I don't want a girlfriend that needs me there every second of the day. Of course wanting to be together every second of the day is something to strive for in a relationship, but it shouldn't be necessary, and you should still want to hang out with your friends. And lovey-dovey ftw. Something I will never do is the monthiversary. That rule doesn't work too well at young ages. Nor at old. At those ages it doesn't matter. At younger than 14, it's rare that you'll be dating someone older/younger than you by more than a year. Once you get out of your teens, you should know the limits. I'm a fan of it right now because it works for me.
  25. I'm a fan of the "1/2 your age plus 7 years" rule.
