just did 7:8. had a 8th person for 3 kills though masses (6+) are a lot different than small teams. i prefer smaller teams. in larger teams, turmoil is better: 1) clawing out a form is much more crucial 2) prayer is more of an issue in larger teams, and turmoil drains SIGNIFICANTLY slower in smaller teams, rigour is better: 1) the higher dps on rigour is more important 2) more efficient per inventory space

you kind of have to use diamonds on last form if youre using RR. hand cannon might actually be better for last form hmm, i'll test that theory tonight if i go.

there's really no point in testing arma since its either karils or void imo. you really need the extra melee attack, and mage defense doesn't really do anything from my experience as long as people can lure nex away when killing mages mage defense shouldn't do anything big. its for the range attack and prayer, not magic defense. +6 range attack is somewhere around 3% dps (arguably higher because you get proportionally more ruby specs) unless you don't melee at all, i would value 7 melee attack against 3 range attack and 1 prayer based on a rather small sample of data, arma is around 5% better for nominal damage per unit time. i should collect more data to be more sure though the main strategy behind using arma and high range accuracy is that more of your ruby specs hit, which arguably contribute to dps much more than melee. i'd argue you get a comparable number of claws and ruby specs in one kill; if not, more ruby specs also, maxing out range bonus definitely does make a big difference. with archer(i), ranger boots, full arma, zammy book, and alerter you're looking at a solid +8+8+10+6+8+5 = 43 more range attack compared to a setup which focuses on melee

seems like most teams prefer using void... which i disagree with. also, melee pray is best for smoke and shadow. SS on shadow if on curses been recording a lot of data at nex and here's some findings. will have more once i get more data and better tools to analyze full arma + modern > void + curses by about 20% more damage per unit time (rough estimate, but it's clearly a significant amount) full arma + modern uses about 7% less brews per unit time full arma + modern uses about 30% more prayer per unit time rubies are clearly better than diamond by account of our old ffas (ruby wins like over 90% of the time) ely reduces brews consumed per unit time by around 20% or more (data suggests 22.5%). idk why its over 17.5%, probably just random variation. but its possible it makes you tank less (higher defense + brews less -> higher magic defense).

Nex items are the next step to strengthening your combat abilities. Unfortunately, they're also really expensive. Torva and Pernix are much more expensive than virtus, with Torva Helm 3x the price of Virtus Mask, Pernix Top 2x the price of Virtus body, and Torva Legs 5x the price of Virtus legs. This price differential brings up an interesting idea. At what point do you decide the LP boost from Virtus is more useful than the loss in other stats? What scenarios would Virtus be useful (mainly Corp)? Moreover, how do you feel about armor flashing? i.e. putting on virtus piece, drinking brew, and going back to whatever other armor

also consider that you can kite much better with a 2h and yes a good Hexer should learn to make armor lossless -

i doubt this new ring will work with LS, so maybe it might be better to ffa nex. who knows though, that's a lot of lost ceremonial pieces

pernix legs is about as good as ely pernix body is better than divine divine is VERY slightly better than ely

we did a bit of testing and I think she heals by however much hp the reavers have by the end of the next siphon. as the team gets bigger, each person should pay less attention to the reavers because theres significant overkill loss. it's best to shoot the reavers once and then go back on nex. but yeah, 5 of her attacks = 3 mauls = 4 crossbow hits, i guess. her timer pauses whenever she moves/dances

what setup was he using? what prayer? i would say magic sucks because if you brew even once that means you cant attack

the only time its ever appropriate to use blazer is if youre only maging. otherwise blitzer is clearly better -
MOAR LOOT but yeah, that's pretty much why div is still better than ely for nex tho w/ the 500M price difference you might as well buy a pernix piece, and i think (not sure about cowl) any pernix piece + ely >> div I think it's more fair to compare the 3 items alone, assuming you'd use void. Pernix top makes you heal 20% more and has most range att/mage def, ely neglects 17,5% damage and divine removes 30% damage. None of the pieces can be used with maul, so if you melee most of the time(as mazz suggests), none of the items should matter anyway, but if you range most(and only melee blood, perhaps), i'd definitely take pernix top out of the 3. i just don't at all see how melee could be better than range when it seems like range dps is actually HIGHER than melee. anyway, yeah i agree completely that pernix top is the best out of the three. afaik div and ely don't really reduce certain aspects of nex's attacks (i.e. specs where the damage is fixed), and don't reduce damage from overload. if an item increased brew healing by x%, i'd much rather have it than an item that decreases damage by ~x%. i'd say pernix legs are roughly as useful as ely. what i meant originally was that ely+cowl is probably better than divine. ely+body or ely+legs is WAY better than divine and the same price.
