Thank you VERY much. Think I'll get spectral and armadyl for range and bandos for melee or still armadyl? spectral sucks if your teammates are geared coorectly don't get bandos it's useless

Nex armors will fall in price. Either way, if you are nexing to get nex gear you can expect to get a full set of virtus in 40 or so hours.

examples? i agree with this. i wanted to see this. i think their line of reasoning, like i said, is 1) it devalues nex items; 2) it's too difficult to implement given all of the current armor

it'll be a while before most skills are useful, just because this game is so different than what jagex originally intended. i see skills either as: 1) useful for opening effigies 2) helpful in keying for dungeoneering otherwise they're basically useless. which i don't mind. as content, training skills (excluding dg) is incredibly boring and pretty much no matter what you do, it will be tedious compared to something like Nex or DG.. high level nowadays entails 100+ dg (all chaotics + rigour), around 80m+ in gear at least, 99 summ, 95 pray, maxed combat i view sub 100 dg as a huge weakness. having chaotics to throw around is very convenient. you should MH. it's at least 3m an hour. nex is around 10-20m/hr.

why not have untradeable lifeboosting armour upgrades (so you can upgrade your barrows/bandos/rune/... that can be made with smithing. Just make them worse than nex armour, and you have a nicely balanced update. Nex armors already have relatively low LP boost. Smithable armors would have to be weaker than bandos/arma/barrows, so they'd have to have even lower LP boosts (to the point of being useless probably) And an "attachment" style upgrade would be really annoying on their end. how would you implement this? what would you attach to? rune? then you run into the problem of the 10+ types of rune. barrows? it degrades. [hide=just saiyan] [/hide] You can get full virtus for less than 1b, lol. 1b is easy to get if youre a high level. no set is over 3b.

Realistically, though, they'd have a hard time implementing a OVL-type update for smithing. It's not like herblore where they had a huge range of levels to add content to. Smithing already has content up to level 99. A few months ago we did need an armor upgrade considering the strength of weapons. That's where nex armors come in. And i'd much rather have nex than have another whole skill to train to 90+.

Cool, your argument boils down to "i'm going to ignore you because you're in the minority" Also, i'm not praising it. like you, i'm disappointed it's not the smithing equivalent of Ovls. they could have done so much more. but i'm not complaining because i still think they did a good job and made a constructive update. Anyway, in more important news: anyone know if RR has been patched for nex? My argument is that this is all opinion, neither of us is objectively right. All I can say is that your opinion that making everything in the game easier and faster is good is immature and bad for the game as a whole, it's not something that can be proven. "immature", ironic way to nitpick at one specific word i used. opinion, whatever. the point is that you're just making yourself look like a really negative person. and it's annoying. don't try to argue semantics with me rofl anyway, IS RR FIXED???????????

It's not cheapened. if anything, it's making it more fun to train instead of something that a monkey (or a bot) could easily do. If you call 99 smithing a serious achievement at this day in RS I kind of laugh at you. Anyway, in more important news: anyone know if RR has been patched for nex?

If you call Buying items and clicking Make X over and over again a challenge, you're probably dumb. Effort is rewarded. I'd get 99 smith just to be able to open doors in dg. Dungeoneering rewards don't count. Especially since having levels as a non-keyers makes dungeons harder, but mostly because being able to do stuff in a giant minigame is an empty shell of a reward. L2Key. DG is much more fun and arguably faster when you're keying. I'd be keying all the time if I had better stats It's still a reward, right? Unlike firemaking doors which usually are openable in the 80-90 range, smithing doors are often 95+. If you're going to view things negatively for the sake of being negative, without any reasonable criticism but "boo i didn't get what I want!", you're nothing but a

i mean, as long as you agree that it's a positive change then whatever. on first glance it's pretty well designed. sure, it isn't the update i was looking for either, but i'm still happy with it. it's not like cooking. this is clearly an active minigame - it's not an afk skill. who cares if skills are cheap. just because you overpaid for your skills doesn't mean we have to. smith is still useful: cheapens armor repair cost + is probably one of the most common unopenable doors in dg. if youre gonna whine about skills, whine about firemaking, agility, woodcutting... so many things...

stop whining. this was a good update. maybe not what you expected, but it's definitely made smithing cheaper, faster, and more fun to train. usually i'm the one bashing jagex, so if i'm telling you you're whining then you know it means something.

How to leech like a pro: a woman's guide to bossing This is why bandos is one of the worst bosses to hunt. the guy was dumb - too proud to let go of his ely for a defender.

yeah i was wondering if there was redundancy there you could probably add in the drops Nex Hunters have gotten, which is in my sig (i've been really lucky, think I've seen every split)

Wat? You going for an all out range setup now? There is way too much confusion in the nex communities around... <_< congratz on the robes, was that 8x 27m?(wondering about price) based on data ive logged rigour/arma/alerter is better overall dps than melee (by around 20%) however it uses a lot more prayer and has much poorer speccing capability therefore it's better for small teams (6:6, 5:4, 4:3) turm/void/swcape is better for larger teams because lower prayer usage and speccing capability. the key to large teams is speccing out blood and/or smoke within one turn. also, trips are more limited by prayer than food for large teams (7:8, 8:9) the split was 7x 27 and 1x 16 to rocked, who wasnt there for the actual drop

fix'd not necessarily, just bad luck. 1 virtus drop : 2 torva : 3 pernix : 1 zaryte on me Current setup. It sucks that I won't keep thalamus, I'm studying neuro so I loved that name. cool story! why'd you change it.
-
Nex
just did 7:8. had a 8th person for 3 kills though masses (6+) are a lot different than small teams. i prefer smaller teams. in larger teams, turmoil is better: 1) clawing out a form is much more crucial 2) prayer is more of an issue in larger teams, and turmoil drains SIGNIFICANTLY slower in smaller teams, rigour is better: 1) the higher dps on rigour is more important 2) more efficient per inventory space

you kind of have to use diamonds on last form if youre using RR. hand cannon might actually be better for last form hmm, i'll test that theory tonight if i go.
