  1. This would be such a huge list of people selling stuff. Thats sounds familiar....oh the forums! Yeah we kinda have a facility to advertise what you want to sell.
  2. As just said, you should bank anything valuable if you are that worried. I make a point of banking the only valuable thing i own (santa) when i leave for the day. On topic, this seems to be a good idea. They could just extend the current bank pin to cover it. No need to set a new number.
  3. Ah autoers...world 73 draynor eh? I think we should expand that to: Any F2P world Any place with yews, or willows. Lets not forget karamja fishing spot, and those training in the barbarian village. Oh...and the mining guild, and a few iron rock spots. And....probably most people haven't noticed yet, but there are actually runecrafting macroers now. This is for real, I'm not kidding you. Switch worlds at the air alter and you'll see them. You might have wondered why lvl 3s want to buy tons of rune essence or sell tons of airs on world 1... If you don't believe me you either don't play in F2P, or you aren't as observant as me. Back on topic though, naming 2 macroers, as well as being against tipit rules, is a little pointless. Just report them when you see them and leave it at that. No point doing anything else, unless you have a very patient mod friend who will come at your bidding.
  4. Amulets are for combat as far as I can tell (except gems with glory), and we already have a dwarven stout which does exactly this.
  5. Either of the above is good. But hill giants if you want to train prayer. It does get crowded though.
  6. Sad to see another great player quitting, but at least you have the right perspective on life. You achieved a huge amount in game, and inspired a lot of f2pers. Good luck with whatever you do next in life (and enjoy your new toy 8-) )
  7. Agree with this. I got leo 12 times so far at mossies. A gem would be nicer than 500gp, and though its an easy event, monsters become aggressive again which is annoying. The only good thing is that you can deposit stuff in the bank. I don't mind randoms really. Genies are the best.
  8. with lvl 1 defence, this presumably makes you a pure. The convention is dragonhide chaps and vambraces, and either wizard top or iron plate, and wizard hat or iron full helm. You may want just full iron for meleeing though. Don't fill your inventory with armour and weapons though, food is more important. As far as weapons go, its entirely up to you what you prefer.
  9. You could buy lobsters 200ea and sell for 250ea in world 1 varrock for something dead easy. Also quite easy is coal. Buy 150ea and sell for 200ea.
  10. Doesn't this imply droptrading/transferring? Otherwise how do suggest making well over 3mil on your lvl 3 guy. Other than merchanting, seeing how you start with 25gp to merchant. Wow, 1 duel per 10 seconds is pretty good going! You probably can't go faster than 1 duel per minute, especially when you start out as lvl 3 guys, it will take longer. This idea has a lot of flaws, I suggest you try it out first, then post if it really is that good.
  11. If you choose to powermine iron, alkharid mine is a good spot. You should mine mith ore as it spawns, bank when you have a full load of mith. It depends on your further motives, are you going to mine for money, for smelting steel, or for what. Powermine if you just want to get to the guild quick, bank if you want to make steel or iron bars, or to sell the iron ores.
  12. They were P2P only last time I tried, and I'm pretty sure its still that way. They would have told us if they changed it. Anyway, a couple of the portals are in P2P wild.
  13. Hobgoblins by the crafting guild can be ranged/maged from the cowpen. Its a good spot. Out of interest, why do you want to fail earth strikes? Melee maybe guards.
  14. Aggressive monsters attack until you are above twice their level. For example, level 14 scorpions attack anyone up to level 28, but once you are level 29 they no longer do so. If dark wizards are no longer aggressive, it would just let a few autoers off the hook, but not many autoers cut in draynor anyway compared to other places. Though it will save a few newbies lives. Interesting find though, we'll have to see if anyone else has seen this.
  15. Think I saw this in the other topic where I wrote that sentence. What I wrote is entirely correct. I personally have no idea when the rare prices will jump or drop. Maybe thats why I don't merchant rares. In february/march, the price of santas was rising fast, 4.5mil up to 7.7mil when I was watching. I had always wanted a santa hat, and obviously I didn't want to pay huge amounts for one, but I decided to sell a lot of stuff to get 7.7mil and bought one. Prices went up more, so I thought it was a good decision. Then they steadied, started dropping below what I paid. Not to worry, I knew they would rise in the long term. And sure enough, this last week, I see around 3mil rise in price. To me, this is unpredictable IN THE SHORT TERM. Also unexplicable. I can only fling wild guesses as to the cause of a rise or fall in price. How was I to forsee that this week an item would increase in value by almost 50%. Those who CAN predict short term increase/decrease are the ones who will make millions in a short amount of time. It is more or less irrelevant for me now anyway, as the single santa hat I own will not be sold, nor do I anticipate spending money on another rare. Just out of interest, why are there two topics discussing this? You posted exactly the same thing.
  16. YAY! That used to be so annoying. I always tele anyway if I fish lobs, but that is awesome. Do the sailors in Port Sarim also have this option?
  17. Do imp catcher and witches potion quest. Both very easy, and gets you to lvl 11 I think, so you can just start with fire striking.
  18. No idea about how many per hour. Unfortunately I never time myself (actually I probably just lose track of time). I would guess at about 300, but I could be a little way out. You might be interested to know that I catch 42% salmon at lvl 78 though. Do you cook and bank, or just bank the raws?

It depends on whether you go for speed or cost effectiveness. Obviously fire strike is costing you about 50% more than earth strike, for faster xp. It really depends on whether you mind spending that little bit extra for the speed. If you want to know what I would do, I would fire strike. But thats just me.
  20. You probably have all the stats you need to start off well in members. The only thing I can think of is to get fishing up 1 to 68, so you can use the fishing guild. Perhaps make an emerald ring or two and saphire necklace, so you can get places faster when you first go in. (enchant to ring of dueling and games necklace)

Tis better to buy from a player for 600k To buy from the NPC costs 750k, unless your name is Leesters
  22. I have no idea how long it will take, but you should consider reading through this: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=366763 It is a much cheaper method of training. It will cost about 30% of what it would if you buy all at once, and won't take any longer. The best thing to do to find out how long it would take is to burn for half an hour and see how much xp you get. You can then calculate how long the whole thing will take.
  23. Grats on the fire cape :D I would put a thread in the rate this forum, add some other stuff like piccies of you with a nice cape, and link the video there. Say theres a vid in the thread title.
  24. ishepp replied to Midge's topic in Help and Advice
The cheapest is to buy from another player. I'm not sure, but I think you might have to have finished the quest first to use it.
  25. If there is any confusion still, autoing is NOT against any state or federal law, it IS against Jagex rules. To use a rubbish analogy, when you use your hands in the game of football (soccer) it is not something you will be arrested for, but you may be removed from the game. Well its not quite the same, but you get the idea. The phone company would not do anything about it even if they could, and Jagex are not going to employ another 200 people to talk to phone companies about peoples IP addresses. For both these last points you should remember the internationality of this game, there are players from many countries and languages. Jagex CAN track your IP address, they say so, and also when you log in it tells you where you last logged on. They say they use this information to ban other accounts which use this IP, though we cannot be sure how often this occurs. In any case, what with dynamic IPs and the ease of changing an IP address this seems impractical as a solution to the problem.
