  1. In Iraq when girl babies are born they all get ear piercings. But for a boy.. it's disgusting. They don't even do that in Iraq.
  2. EVERY pure I see has the whole " I (name) I" thing going on. It's so pathetic and stupid. It's like when u see people name themselves "Zezima123", don't u think it's kind of stupid?
  3. Isn't it possible to test the metal for explosives? Or do I watch 24 too much?
  4. This argument is fricken hilarious! Gays are humans. We are humans. They may believe different things, but why should I hate them? It's like a person with a different religon, just because someone is Muslim and im Christain, why do I have to hate them because they think very different things?
  5. No I don't believe it. What is the purpose you hope the money given to the UN will acomplish? Help the world? The UN is great. Why wouldn't you give money to the UN? They solve lots of problems. And who needs tons of money to live a happy life? My family is a middle wealth, and I'm happy. I would hate being extremely rich.
  6. What exactly is this about? Just about current issues in the world? What will you do there? The network is a chain of around 30 schools. We're going to discuss a branch on poverty " More economically developed countries don't want to get rid of poverty". The network, before I joined, built 2 schools in afganistan.
  7. Dude, don't stereotype about muslims. I'm not muslim, but I have loads of muslim friends and they are some of the nicest people I have ever met. I agree with you saying the terrorists are pigs, but the whole population? What right do you have to say that? Just because one American could be bad, you don't see anybody saying " 0h y3@h @m3r!ca bl0w$". Edit: Keep it clean. ~Assassin
  8. Alright thanks. I guess it's not cheap like Qatar. A coke here is around 29 cents.
  9. Well that wasn't stereotype out the butt.
  10. Twelve people from my school have been chosen to go to Luxembourg. AND I'M ONE OF THEM! Ten 8th graders and two 7th graders ( One of them is me). We're going to attend the Global Issues Network Conference held yearly in Luxembourg. The flight is at 11 PM on March 20th. So I got 3 weeks of an empty stomach to get ready for the pork. I live in an Islamic country, and pork is forbidden. I'm not muslim and I havn't had pork in years. I seriously can't wait to meet all the people from the different schools... and eat that pork. Anyways, has anyone here been to Luxembourg? Is it nice?
  11. Believe it or not, I'd only keep enough money to get me through education/college. Rest goes to the UN.
  12. Wow, you guys are actually pretty environmentally friendly. Didn't suspect that.
  13. Talk about depressing movie. I actually nearly cried in that movies, all those children in the movie are my age, and they keep getting abducted. Horrible.
  14. Im not sure exactly, but it would cost around $14b to feed EVERY single starving human being in the world for one-year. Some people might think that's a lot, but really, it's not. Qatar, a tiny country made $64b dollars in 2006. That's just one country, one year.
  15. It's too bad the Hanging Gardens of Babylon don't exist anymore. That garden was amazing!
  16. You did that on purpose...right? :?
  17. More than half the world lives like that. If you divided the earth into 12 people, 3people out of the twelve live like us as in a wardrobe full of clothes, jobes, food, education, etc. Another 4 people might have jobs, just bearly get through life, probably don't own a house or a car. Another 4people own absoluetly nothing, they live under 15 cents a day, most don't even live once they are born. And the final 1 person out of the twelve live as VERY rich people - not millionaire, like billionaire. All of the three richest people ( in real-life, not this) have more money than 94 of the poorest countries wealth put together, each of them have more ( like Bill Gates, obviously being number 1.)
  18. You got to believe that every person counts. If there were 1 million people just like you thinking it's not effective, then thats 1 million people less helping the environment. Every little thing matters.
  19. After a week I bought two love birds, one of them killed the other bird, and ate it. The bird then died from a disease from eating that bird. Then I decide to buy only one bird. My cousin comes to my house and thought it would be cool to buy a bird too, so he did. He put his bird into the same cage as mine, and his ate my bird :( So I decided not to buy anymore birds.
  20. As a personal goal, I'm trying to get from +5 to -3. It's really hard to lower your eco-footprint in this country. No public transportation, no recycling, no energy efficent systems either.
  21. This quiz will show how many worlds are needed to support your life-style, it's quite cool. http://www.myfootprint.org/ Mine is 5 worlds. Edit 3.7 worlds. Eating vegatarian twice a week now.
  22. 24, Prisonbreak, and Lost are way better in my opinion.
  23. I was at camp for 7 nights and they served the WORST meat I have ever tasted in my life. So I decided to just eat fruits and vegetables for the week. During camp, I was hungry 24/7 even though per meal I ate tons of lettuce and probably 2-3 oranges + apples and plates of grapes. After the week when I got home, I was super tired Very skinny and pale. Had tons and tons of dairhorrea (sp?) Too weak to even read a book, my mind would scatter off. I also had huge bags under my eyes It was the ONLY time in my life where my parents FORCED me to eat fastfood.
  24. Too much attention is attracted to Dubai. Qatar is nice too! A painting of the hanging gardens in Iraq. Ofcourse, it's ruins now. These towers are currently being built ( 5 minutes from where I live ) The outcome is going to be amazing, you can see the towers now, but it's all just metal, no blue shiny glass yet
  25. Yea, I'd vote for him too. But I don't think they let Iraqis vote :P
