Calculate the price of the nat, 4 coals and a mith ore (or 2 coals and 1 iron ore for a steel bar) and see if you break even. It almost always does. The spell casts much faster and you get a healthy dose of smithing xp. Main downside is that you need repeated bankings. Hopefully this new system will help things along.

There might not be one, which could be leading you to some difficulty. The brothers' armour is pretty much the same as the possible drops from the chest: High melee and ranged defense and low magical defense (For the melee brothers at least) Generally, people use magic against the melee brothers and then some melee against Ahrim and Verac.

If you want to repair your armour, you could go to a house party in Yanille and see if there's one there. Saves you time and effort from actually getting construction.

I'd personally like to see anyone with 2 billion in the first place. I think we're forgetting the figures we're talking about here. That's roughly 19-20 full 3rd Age sets or 32 AGSs. I highly doubt there's even a handful of people in the game with that amount of cash.

That's a lottery fallacy like already mentioned by Tijger2099. The kills are independent of each other and your chances don't increase with each kill. At a rate of roughly 1 in 100, your chances are 1% for each individual kill. Killing more doesn't guarantee anything. You could be lucky and get one your very first try or be extremely unlucky and never get one.

Does anyone know if the agility arena is worth it? 1000 tickets for over 352,000 XP with K gloves 2 looks very attractive. You do get xp during the game and the variety of obstacles could keep it fresh.

Do it NOW. I played F2P for about 5 years not being able to access members due to not having good methods of payment. My skills were mediocre at best (58 pray pure F2P \ ) and as soon as I turned member it was a huge difference. It was SO awesome. Wait...it STILL IS. You've got some decent skills. I agree with some others in that you should train up some of your lower skills to a usable level (30 I'd personally say) in F2P, but once you do, jump the boat and make this second account a member already! Btw Intermagma, that burn in your sig just made my day. I loled for a good solid minute.

The clay items meaning the weapons and armour? Aside from the mage set which is the equivalent of mystic, the SC armour is a little weak being only as strong as rune for melee and green drag hide for ranged. However, a plus is that the set, in any form, is ridiculously light at 2Kg per piece. But of course the best part is the bonus xp you get. The whole set doubles the xp for the attack style you're using (doesn't matter what mode it's in) for like 33K xp per piece.

Even at that point you could try some annoying tactics like house circling and losing them in the houses. I can difficult to tank at the center effectively when your defence level is severely reduced unless you're fighting a very low level. And what's wrong with free mage xp? Sure it's boring to watch yourself being splashed for an eternity, but then again, WCing, fishing, mining, (BTW, nothing personal to all of those who love these skills) and a whole bunch of other activities in RS aren't that riveting either. Just turn on some music and play a rush game against a professional Starcraft player and that match will just fly by :lol:

You also can't safespot with the black sally which forces you to use prayers for the melee brothers. However, I think the money you save in tar costs over dart runes that it compensates for the extra pray pot or two. Needs some testing :-k

With 30%, I think it might be Void, but it's really situational. If you're doing anything where you might get hit, Ahrims hands down. If you're mostly safe spotting, then it's a toss up between void and Ahrims, but I'd personally choose void.

Probably not going to be possible considering his other combat skills will probably stay low.

Very interesting. Very interesting indeed. After reading it in-depth, I've become intrigued in the ways of the pure. This guide has certainly turned my opinion in pures a bit and even inspired me to possibly create one :twisted: . But yes, decent guide. I'd give it a 7.5/10. That extra 2.5 is for the lack of pictures and formatting and other minor details, but there's a good amount of meat to this guide and it's rather recent and up-to-date. You also didn't mention how incredibly awesome Fist of Guthix is for raising mage. Free runes and you still raise HP. Also, anyone know if a paper pure guide exists? Anyone else know what a paper pure is but me? :roll:

That might have to do with what you're killing. If something has a really low defense, then the difference between something that has 40 slash and something that has 60 slash is going to be very negligible and you probably won't notice it. This is why slayer dart is so popular for barrows and why the myth originated (according to some barrows guide and some RSOF mod post). People kept hitting so hard on the brothers with dart while using metal armour that people thought that mage attack didn't affect at all. What really was happening was that the barrows brothers just had really really low magical defense and so the dart hit them even though the player was wearing low/negative magical attack armour.

Broads are cheaper than addy arrows, but hit MUCH harder. The rune cbow has much more ranged attack than the MSB and you can use a shield. Sorry to jump your thread, but quick question for everyone again. Is full ranged void always better than full black dhide and a good helm (armadyl, robin, etc) assuming you're using safespots and defense doesn't matter? Does the 10% accuracy make up for all of the ranged bonus you lose from the void set? Also, is the void seal apart of the void set?

My point was that the main accessible cluster of clay rocks was in the crafting guild. The only other major clusters are in the dwarven mine, which are pretty far away.

Clay mining can be profitable, but it can be difficult to access a bank at your level (I'm assuming you're not 50 crafting) Essence mining can also be good. Aside from mining, cow hides are very profitable and are comparable to feather collecting.

Not entirely. Someone mentioned that they used pineapples instead of super compost pots and I replied by saying that I like to keep my pineapples to make delicious pizzas \

I personally like my pineapples for pizzas. The profits and the cooking xp to be had is just too good to pass up.
