  1. Lesson 1 First grade Economics.... less money-> less demand-> lower prices (even in rs> :? )
  2. Keep Holy Wrench in inventory when drinking prayerpots..
  3. Apart from the 'crediting' issue you have a point. It seems that there are some serious delays in updating the bestiary. I just checked on sara spiritual mages. I've submitted corrections around 4-5 weeks ago, but nothing is changed yet. Probably other priorities..
  4. With your def-/prayerlvl powerranging on greaters (ogrecave) or ogres (lathas training ground) with bronze/irons +rangepotions should be a good option
  5. both blue dhides &dbones are 1.8-1.9k these days in w2
  6. Choke xx, better save your breath.. I've written this in another thread and I will write it again; You'll never convince immature frustrated schoolboys, pestered by exploding hormones, playing the tough guys on the anonymous internet... For them it is not necessary to read other people's argumentations. The fact that you dare to have a different opinion is enough reason to flame you for players like 123yourgone. Comfort yourself by knowing that he probably needs some compensation for his poor rl.. This self proclaimed RS (classic) guru calls everyone who doesnt agree with his strong opinions whining morons. Makes him feel better...wow; respect... :-X
  7. Perhaps Jagex should make the wildy even less dangerous or simplify the combatsystem a bit more. A few of your favourite subjects to moan about when they were altered, if I remember correctly? For your info: I do collect my herbs myself. I reached my lvl 95% through farming &drops. But that's not the issue. Issue is that Jagex has made another skill more easy because 'certain' players ranted about it.. Seeing you totally missed the point you definitely belong in one of the 3 categories..
  8. Stereotype reply of a non skiller..... Perhaps there are other type of players too than those who are only interested in maxing combatstats and/or owning phats... Anyway, I agree with Choke xx. Jagex made one of the last skills where a tiny little bit of thinking was needed also noob (&<13 years old) proof. Besides the advantage of gaining bankspace I cant think of one valid reason of changing this. Everyone moaning about scammers was or still in Kindergarten, or too impatient to work with antiscam or seriously stupid.
  9. The story continues today in many newspapers with some background info about how RS effects young Dutch players: http://www.bndestem.nl/binnenland/article1900618.ece Most remarkable to me: Trading rs money for real Euro's with fellow players in highschool seems quite common for many Dutch teenagers.
  10. I'm not whining about the socalled degrading rs community, neither am I surprised about what happened. Just showing a sad example how some teenagers see a nice RS-account more important than normal behaviour in RL. For our Belgian/Dutch players the following article: http://www.gamert.nl/action/friezen_meppen_elkaar_om_runes.html edit: for translations; see other posts on this page edit 2: see my post on page 3
  11. Darkdude& Cotomatias, both better save your breath.. You'll never convince immature frustrated schoolboys, pestered by exploding hormones, playing the tough guys on the anonymous internet... It's just a fact that RS is getting infested by (high lvl) rude egocentric players, looking for 'instant satisfaction'. Comfort yourself with the thought that many of these players have the intelligence of a meatfly and/or don't know any happiness in rl. Being an 'bleep'hole in rs is their highlight of the day... (And I still meet every day new friendly players, with manners on RS too :D )
  12. In case you want your crystal saw again (like me), use the seed twice on the singing bowl in Brimstail's cave..
  13. As far as I know, you only can buy next book, if your first one is full with pages......
  14. About 4-6 hours. Not sure what the variation is caused by. Maybe also by the worldpopulation (like it effects spawningtime of npc's)
  15. I dont know how many herbsruns you did already, but let us say, you can make an 'educated guess' after a few 100 runs minimum? (runs being; all 4 or 5 herbpatches checked ). If you did this and 8-12 is your average yield, consider yourself very, very lucky. If death herbs are included in your average yield, you are extremely, extremely lucky... Bottom line; dont expect this average yield for your next 1000 runs and more...
  16. Where did you get this as a fact? Be assured that for mass herbfarming 5 to 6 herbs as the average yield must be taken to calculate max. prices for herbseeds.. Players who pay more cant use seeds for mass farming. They like wasting time at the herbpatch watching the herb grow for a bit of profit.... (or they just can't do their math...)
  17. You can't merchant based upon some prices mentioned here. Players who sell legs for 38k, larges for 21k, scimitars for 10k, etc, are plain noobs or just idiots.. (in case you dont understand; a player with a bit of sense doesnt sell for high alch value or less...)
  18. You dont need your antifireshield when in a safespot there. Replace it by a zammybook.
  19. As Tripsis said; don't expect to get 99 farming in a month or 2. It took me 1,5 year, however I didnt 'powerfarm' till lvl 95. I did herbs and MTK-seeds till 95 (never bought herbs, lvl 91 herblore from drops and farming only. :) ) with a frequent routine. Nothing special, just whenever I played, I always did 1 or 2 farming runs to start and/or end with. From lvl 95 on, I bought palm and mageseeds to speed up my levelling.. I never calculated, but I guess I still bought for a 30-50m on those seeds back then.
  20. Only Pious Pete is a 'rare random'. I never had it, while all others are quite common.. (too common, I'm really fed up with all randoms except the maze  )
  21. Since you have no replies yet, I'll try to refresh my memory a bit. Somewhere last year I used red chinchompa's for my last 500k exp for 99 range on the monkey skeletons on Ape Atoll. I used black dhides, snakeskin boots, archer helm, glory, skillcape and zammy book. (I didnt use my Robinset, fury and Karils, since I had died shortly before caused by lag :( ). My prayer was somewhere around 75. I don't know the exact number of chins I've used anymore, somewhere between 3 and 5k.... What I do know for sure is that with 98 range and rangepotions, I didnt exceed 230k exp per hour. All the stories from lvl 70 rangers doing more than 250k exp are examples of a great imagination if you're asking me.
  22. Especially when you are a herblorist :) . I wear Karils, bring 10-15 monks and only use some prayer when my inventory is not full yet with seeds&herbs. Usually I do around 3 trips for a 150-180 task. Why waste prayerpotions if I need to bank my seeds&herbs anyway?
  23. Not bad?? I hope you realise that 3 whips in a 100-200 abby demon task is extremely exceptional?! I never had more than 1 per task and feel lucky when I average 1 out of 4-5 tasks.. So, don't count on better stories for 'normal' slayerdrops.. Ofcourse the 'once in a lifetime ' clue reward is what keeps us slayers going... (at least im still hoping for a 3rd age kite instead of some nats&sharks&rune long..... :wall: )
  24. melee combat with black dhide and melee prayer. I averaged 3-5 per solo trip when i was around combat 110, so 2 at least must be possible for you.. (and if you need some black dhidesets you know how to find me.. )
  25. Seeing you firemakinglvl one would expect you know by now the best places? Anyway, Edge and Piscatoris (fishing colony) for me
