  1. meol, I don't have access to plyo until Tuesday next week (since I'm goin' home for break), but I'll try to post a vid of some of the moves. I could do it on grass but the moves would definitely be less clean. You could always Youtube it though, tutorials and vids for all the moves are widely available (since they tend to come from backgrounds of long traditions, like Wushu and Capoiera). Try round-off back tucks. You get a lot more power if you can control it. You make a good point though. There's a girl at the gymnasium who I work out with who hates me because she's been doing gymastics for ten years and can't (read: won't but def can) back tuck, while I just started last year and have the highest standing tuck at the gym. It really is unfair that ya'll have boobs and big hips, and makes movement so much harder.
  2. I did a Front tuck, Back tuck, Aerial, Kip-up, Flash Kick, X-Out, and 540-kick. Also an okay Armada Dupla. I've also almost mastered the Butterfly Twist. That's ballsy. It's harder for girls to back tuck because woman have more mass away from their center of gravity.
  3. Confession: I can't bring myself to confess anything on this thread. For the emos in high school, a few kernels of advice: You are not above your peers. Stop thinking of them as stupid jerks just because you spend your time in front of text books. Reach out to people, don't wait for them to reach out to you. If you engage others they'll reciprocate. Don't be nice out of fear of reprieval. Real friends spend more time insulting each other than actually talking about anything. Uh... Be yourself? I guess. Have fun and all that. If I think of anything else... Ya

You're not strong for you're size. You're just lifting less weight because your body is lighter.
  5. Sure I guess. I really just paraphrased a WSJ Opinion article I read though.
  6. Crunches and diet. And you're 120, more strength wouldn't hurt. I'm 168 and I'd say I'm weak.
  7. I get the point, but I don't get how the "it would cost less" point got past you :/ . And why do you use my full name.
  8. Instead of throwing trillions of dollars at climate bull [cabbage] maybe we could spending it helping people who are dying in Africa because they don't have access to medicine that costs less than a buck. Or, you know, we could spend trillions making it two degrees cooler for them. I'm sure that's what they need most.
  9. Only puppies need be protected because of their uber cuteness. Eat all the dolphin you want, they're jerks anyways.
  10. If by machine, you mind not barbell, then try barbell. It's harder, and you won't do as much, but it's better Yeah, but barbell is kind of dangerous, no? For squating? If you have the proper equipement and space and know the safety procedures for failure it's very safe; it would take skill to injure yourself squating freeweights. Also, you're probably doing it wrong if your a first time 16 year old lifter and you max out the machine. If that's a legitimate squat machine (not leg press), and that 300 isn't added on to your own weight, either that's a very beginner machine or you're using it incorrectly
  11. Oh [cabbage] watch out guys, when there's a point ankerin to be made get the [bleep] out the way.
  12. I guess that's where the problem lies. I'm very much into long term relationships, so it doesn't make sense to me. And I can see CONFIDENCE as an attractive trait, but not ARROGANCE. There is a difference between the two. A guy can be confident without having excessive amounts of it and feeling the need to constantly rank above women. And who are you to tell me that I'm lying? I would think I would know what attracts me more than you do. You're telling me you aren't attracted to the tall, sexy, confident alpha male? You'd be the first girl I've met for which that is true.
  13. That's sort of the point. I know that's the point, but I don't see how it's supposed to be attractive. It would turn *me* off at least. Iamdan - Well maybe trying to form an attraction by coming off as arrogant would attract some girls (I can't imagine why some girls are attracted to that, but I won't deny that some are), but certainly not me :P It makes perfect sense really. The bad boys have the confidence to make girls attracted to them, and the alpha male status to make relationship status prestigious. Unfortunately from a long term standpoint this instinct is more kinds of stupid than I can count, but no amount of sanity is going to convince a girl that she can't turn that bad boy into the perfect, monogamous, loving mate. (And don't lie like all the other girls do tripsis, bad boys attract you, it's basic instinct. You're just consciously aware enough to suppress that outdated instinct.)
  14. Really the only thing you can do is make yourself take better care of them. It's kind of tedious but just don't be careless with them and you won't break them that much. I went through five+ headphones last school year, mostly because of careless removal, usage and packaging, but this year I've managed to not damage the latest ones in the slightest, and I got them at te beginning of the summer. (I generally loop them and put in a seperate coat pocket, when available. Otherwise I wrap them around my phone and they havn't been damaged yet). So if you're serious about not breakin' 'em, well, don't break 'em.
  15. Not to discourage you from coming to OT, but it's a kind of unspoken rule that you don't bring up Runescape here. I get what you're going for but maybe make it less RSish and more "what cool rare things do you own"ish.
  16. Damn, remind me not to make jabs at you in religious topics.
  17. Real men don't need this bs.
  18. Hey guys, look! The moon isn't hurtling towards Canada! Who wouldve thunk it!

When did people become this stupid about medicine? I'd never heard of people denying the validity of vaccinations before. I mean, that's like telling Einstein he doesn't get physics. You're basically telling the doctors who developed this that you think you're smarter than them, that you know that, despite their PhD and your lack of one, you know what's best medically. I'm sorry, but can you people not breed? Thanks.
  20. I wish I could help more, but trying to figure out a gamer girl is like trying to solve a rubiks cube. Most approaches that you'll find in this thread are for picking up random hot girls at partys and the like. The girl that you found happens to be a geek. Perhaps she is attracted to geeks? It's not impossible. Or maybe she's one of those confusing chicks that acts geeky, but actually likes tough biker types. Play it cool, and act natural for now. She liked you enough to let you hang out with her, so your not off to a bad start. Usually when people come here they've already dug themselves into a hole. As for remembering her name. If you haven't already here's an "okay" way of buying yourself time: Come up with a pet name (and for the love of god, don't call her by her screen name). Just call her "babe" or "honey" or something to that effect. Whatever you feel comfortable with. And try not to lead to situations where you'd have to mention her actual name until you KNOW you know it. Nothing is worse than fogetting a girls name and letting her know it. Keep it calm. Stay calm, cool and collected. Deep breathes if you must. Maintain yourself. And before ypu give yourself (and me at this point) a heart attack...figure out a good way to contact her. Please. I swear, if any of you allow this statement to cross your thoughts at any time I'll personally beat the [cabbage] out of you across the internet. No girl ever "let's me hangout with her." I let her. The same is true of the rest of yall. Well, some of you anyways. Also, Rpgs post gives me a bad vibe. It's like he's implying men should be weak or something.
  21. Why did you put capitalist in quotation marks...? And a quick note. Innovation. Note where the world is moving. The Atlantic's old news, the Pacific's got all the cool nations.
  22. Duh? Just because everyone here's a guy with girl problems doesn't mean that if girls were here they wouldn't have the same problems (but... I see where you're coming from. Girls getting "friend zoned" problem happen less because society dictates that the male make the approach).
  23. Blatantly false. Of the previously estimated 46 million "people in America that are without insurance", over 17 million make over $50,000 a year, an estimated 3 million are young risk takers, and 12-15 million are eligible for Medicaid. Take into account illegal immigrants in the statistic and the number falls down to something like 10 million, often less by some estimates. Were essentially spending 1 trillion dollars to make people who dont want insurance get it and shift a bit of the wealth to a couple million that people that aren't even allowed to be denied at a hospital if they're in need anyways. This. Is. Ducked. Up. Not to be a jerk but I think you're five years too early for political debate rocco. Not that my points are infallible (the above numbers are rough), it's just that you're talking a lot more emotion and personal opinion than actual argument based on world events.
  24. Zierro, if someone asked you if the earth orbits the sun, would you tell them that we arent 100% sure that's true and that we should be skeptical of that belief? If you're going to admit you don't know anything about the topic at hand, why are you even posting?
