On Lies
This is what happens when an introverted lifestyle causes one to think about matters so much that they begin to do nothing but think about such matters in endless, redundant, and mindnumbing circles. Throw in an online thesaurus and a little acid, and that's a recipe for mental disaster :-s .

What Are YOUR Views On 99 Fletching And Cooking?
But that's the thing- the only justification I've ever heard is "it's a 99". No time references, no measurements of the level of difficulty, no cost statistics, just "it's a 99". That, on top of the risible idea that all 99's are the same, which is so self-evidently false that I can't believe it was even debated on this thread. I.e., you aren't serious, right :-s ? Can anyone give me, in numbers (excluding 99 and 13), a reason why these skills should for some reason be respected by all?

What's the point in going to church if you don't believe in it at all, nor plan to? [At least in matters religious- not talkin' 'bout charity here]

:| Korskin, can you chastise this guy for me? Me being not religious, berating wouldn't do much in the contexts of this topic. When I was a kid and found out why people murder, loot, rape, let children starve to death and violate each other in masses was the day I realized I had been brought up in a fairytale world. Humans are just like any other animals, they'll do anything for resources (such as money, oil, gold, diamonds, mines, political power) [...] You're free to believe whatever you want though... Remember there are thousands of religions, people generally need something comforting or reassuring. Thank you for giving me my freedom to believe whatever I want. What about his post took away any freedom to believe what you want :-s ? I side with Lancer and warri0r on this (as well as Nadril's point), but that doesn't mean you aren't free to believe what you choose in this matter :-s .

I'll post this ragtag guide again, for the fourth time. Rants forum is the only place I've ever posted this though, quite peculiar :-k . I really should try and get screenshots some time :-k .

What Are YOUR Views On 99 Fletching And Cooking?
Don't you dare claim that 13 mill fletching or cooking exp is anything close to 13 mill rcing or slayer experience. Every 99 is unique, every 99 has it's own totem of respect and each one is different. Why claim that a skill that has exp rates of 200k per hour is equal to a skill that has exp rates of 20k per hour? I don't think he's saying that; I believe his mind is processing 13M as nothing more than "a big number", and thus, regardless of any factors whatsoever, must be greatly deserving of veneration to have been achieved. Bleh.

it seems no one knows the meaning of inflation anymore I always love how economics topics seem to cause everyone at Tip.it to make a fool of themselves :) .

Good analogy- he, Jesus, Lao Tzu, etc., they're all relatively similiar in that they all most likely existed (I'd have a hard time believing any of them didn't exist), but the history of their lives are fairly legendary (Lao Tzu being born 82-years old, Jesus being born from a virgin, etc.).

Armadyl GS Overrated? :$
Dear god, get some metal for that video. Gotta say Jordan hit the nail on the head. Players don't like effectiveness; they prefer the feeling that they are t3h pwn4ge.

^My bad Nadril. Add hide tags for those currently watching DN. What I said might... uh, ruin it a bit for some.

Girls in RuneScape
That's why I said "a bit of weight". It's not entirely true, but it is partially true in that many female avatars are controlled by males in Runescape. Ok :P , it was mainly the hair color that I was "seconding" (wow, according to spell check that's a real word) Looks like somebody likes 'em big :-w . Dear Lord, if this off that godforsaken quote I made over a year ago, please take it back.

the wonderful world of...anime
[hide=Death Note Spoiler >_<]I feel like I want L to die now just listening to his dubbed voice, and when I watched the subbed I almost stopped watching after his death...[/hide] Daammmnnn L's dubbed voice sucks. This kind of terrible dubbing is going to go down in the hall of fame, right next to Naruto. Honestly, what the hell were they thinking when they picked this guy? He completely and utterly kills anything and everything L! [...] So, the entire series ends with the episode "Nankurunaisa"? No clue what the last EP's name was, but that sounds right. Heh, I'm watching it on adult swim right now, about 2/3 the way through the anime. I think I've seen only fifteen to twenty episodes of it though, 'cause the episodes after the beginning kind of bored me and didn't drive me to stay up later to watch 'em :-w . Ah well, I feel like I missed out a bit on the story, but not once when watching any episode have I felt like I was missing something. Guess I just saw the episodes vital to the plot or something :P . It's a good anime from what I've seen. And that opening song, "Colors of the Heart" by Uverworld (a band familiar to Bleach fans), has got me hooked. The opening is amazing, and the song just makes it perfect :) .

It's Edo. He is far above such petty things as "ratings", and thus I must refrain from giving a number to his awesomness in fear of being murdered in my sleep by a bladed automail arm.

What Are YOUR Views On 99 Fletching And Cooking?
 x2. Okay, let's randomly cut this post up to properly examine the mindset of a player who desperately defends the "pride" and "veneration" of the Cooking and Fletching capes. Vital point. This player has the mindset that all capes should be respected, regardless of difference in difficulty. A near necessary mindset for those who seem to have a need to respect or be respected for the Cook/Fletch combination. This is a VERY vital point. This player has the capes, and thus feels a need to protect his own hide and pride. Rare is the player on this side of the argument who neither has the capes nor aspires to get them. Not a vital aspect of the mindset, but this is quite common. The player feels a heightened sense of self by the very fact that he has a skill cape at all, and thus feels he has a right to call himself "above" those who do not, claiming that because he put the work in (however minimal) to get [X] cape, he is above all who have not done the same thing he has done. See [egotism]. Ah, one can not forget to examine the importance of denial in forming said opinion. The denial is often, though not always, extended for a period of nearly half a dozen lines. Here, this player appears to believe that Cooking and Fletching, relatively, cause ones hand to hurt. This denial of difficulty is compiled on top of the denial towards the amount of work required for the skills, further emphasizing it's existence. An interesting specimen indeed. Ah, but of course, the hidden message in every post. The Cooking/Fletching cape enthusiast almost always congratulates other owners of said capes, in a way as to protect the clan through organization and free backscratching. With dozens of thousands strong in this organization, this kind of self-appreciation can provide a viable, yet unrealistic, form of defense. Ah, one can not forget the over-usage of such terminology as "master" and "perfect", considering the technical maxing of the skill. Be wary of such terminology though- it is misleading, even if there is technical weight to it. And of course, a member of this organization can not forget to again create more self-appreciation in the group, and the ending statement is often a great place to do this. Without self-appreciation and gang-tactics, this group of tens of thousands of players would have little to know defense against the tyranny of criticism. Thankfully for them they are organized, large, and powerful in unison. ~ This is an interesting specimen indeed; in one post shown to be a near perfect paragon for the Cooking/Fletching admiring player, and yet deep enough into self-love and denial as to provide perfect examples of the extent to which players can go in this organization.

Weddings- Extravagant or Basic?
Me, I don't have a preference. I'll just see what she wants and go with everything except things I would not be able to stand. Small, big, in a chapel, in a monastary, in a garden, I don't care to be honest, it's all good with what she wants :P . Though, no getting married on a beach, period. Hate the feel of sand on my feet, and for a wedding... no, I'll pass on that :-w . Not that insane did any attacking, but if no one ever attacked anyone's beliefs we'd all be very, very stupid :P .

huge inflation!
 Honestly, good luck finding a sane economist that agrees with you on that dude. ... Rather than make a long post on something so self-evidently incorrect, I'll ask you to look into the history of the German economy, before and during WWII, and then come back and talk about money not losing or gaining value. Try typing in "hyperinflation" on Google, bet you'll find the info. That, or if you live in the US try and examine your own economy. The inflation rate is about 4% a year here, which means it's going to take less than 20 years for the dollar to be half as valuable as it is today. Lil' research does one good :P .
