Not proud of it, but about the first 100. I'm not saying it's unbearable- that's just overused hyperbole. But in comparison to most other animes, it's a little juvenile and pointless. And no offense, but Naruto can not do "dark". Maybe it's the art style, or the fact that everyone who fights is like 10, but it's completely incabable of making scenes that are dark, relative to other anime anyways.

I'd "hate", but I think FMA, Death Note, and maybe a little bit from DBZ is enough to compensate for Naruto. :shock: :o What's wrong with Naruto? Sure, it has some... Immature parts in it, but, apart from that, what's so bad about it? Well, the level of deepness is... zero [ZERO], the plot runs in circles, Naruto says the same damn thing and has the same damn thoughts every fight and encounter ["He's just like me!"], the main character is utterly lame and cliche (all these "dark heroes" running around, getin' annoying), the fights need more katanas and less kunais, everything is unbearably predictable, and of course there's yaoi in it. Evil, evil yaoi. And that's not even considering dubbing. Don't even want to go into that dark and barren territory. Naruto is literally the only anime who's dubbing I hated before I even heard the prior Japanese voice actors.

On the topic of languages, I still have yet to understand how you get that translation out of the Latin in your sig. When I translate it, I get something along the lines of "It is to live two lives to be able to profit from the past". Where does the transition from one translation to the other take place?

I would love to meet the teachers who have the audacity to hand out detentions for things like these matters. Even the worst teachers at my school aren't that a[#$%].

Taking away a PC is like taking away a cell phone. It's not taking away something for relaxing, it's taking away a necessity of the modern world. I have a teacher who doesn't own a TV, and spends his time reading, going to plays, and everything in between. Yes, he's an English teacher. But he still has a few computers, because, as everyone here seems to know, you just can't go without one in your home nowadays. That, on top of the fact that like everyone else, I don't watch all that much TV, is why I could go without a TV but not without a PC. [sure, some people could go to a cafe or something... but that's just far too tedious and time consuming to have to do all the time, in my opinion anyways :P .]

In the OT, I usually don't spend all that much time on my posts. They're generally either one liners or a paragraph or so long (two or three at most). Though, in General, in the few times that I pop in, I tend to make my posts extra long and elaborate, generally because I only respond in topics where either a) over half the posters in the thread are morons, or B) there's something deep available to say about the topic at hand. The former is more common than the latter.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it would have an effect... Since more rares would enter Runescape and more money would leave Runescape, the relative worth of rares would go down while the relative worth of everything else would go up and the monetary worth of items would go down (I don't have any idea what would happen to the monetary worth of rares). Right? :-s That, on top of the fact that he's wrong about the phat prices- they would go up. A new party hat would have a larger effect on the rares market than it's market value (from being sold) would have on the entire economy, considering how much gp there is in the game. I.e., rare prices would go down, and the majority of price rises otherwise would be due mostly to reaction to the selling of partyhats, not the actual gp added to the game itself.

I have the same language base as you but I know several phrases from many languages like 1-10 in Japanese, and random bits and bobs :lol: Ichi ni san shi go roku shichi hachi kyu jyu :o! Or, you know, yon and nana, if you want to be lame :P .

Well, if you want to do something constructive, make sure you're doing it because it is fun and will have a positive effect on your life, not just because you think it's constructive. For example, I spend a decent amount of my week studying Latin phrases and Japanese. Why? Well, one, I have four years of Latin, including an intense AP class, under my belt, so with translations I can gain vocabulary from trying to translate the phrases verbatim (it's actually quite humorous finding out how much Latin phrases get conjugated or written wrong). That way, I retain Latin, learn new Latin, and learn something actually useful and modern- Latin colloquialisms. As for Japanese, I watch subtitled anime, and thus learning the language will allow me to watch these shows without subtitles. And because I do this frequently, I would be able to retain the language, unlike... uh, Spanish, for example :P . That, and Kanji just interests the hell out of me. Thousands upon thousands of characters (estimates have reached around 50,000 or more), used all over Asia... the system is astonishing, as well as far too difficult to even last the next century, but the challenge and interest of connecting the characters to the ideographic images they represent is astoundingly interesting, to me anyways. It's just kind of a nice bonus to trying to learn Japanese. By finding multiple things that interest me, including many more things beyond a current interest in foreign languages, I feel fulfilled throughout my day, as well as excited to know when I have the free time to do the constructive things I love. Whether it be reading, sports, or just learning in general, anything, finding something that you both love and know is going to enhance yourself as a person can give you quite a great feeling inside : . [As a suggestion, I'd recommend for those looking for something like this, just find some subject you're interested in. Greek Mythology, Quantum Mechanics, Architecture, Classical novels, the history of a war, just look for those special topics that peek your interest, and put your heart and soul into them. There's nothing in the world like studying something you're obsessed with :mrgreen: .]

The writer of that article is utterly [developmentally delayed]ed. Recessions are a natural part of the growth of an economy, and have never in the past lasted any more than about a year. The writer of this article is also utterly [developmentally delayed]ed. One: Higher gas prices, macroeconomically, are a good thing. It leads to a higher level of movement towards finding alternative fuel methods (such as ethanol, though I hope we find another as that uses up corn from the food market), as well as the ability to be financially able to get oil from, say, the oil sands of Canada or the oil shoals in Utah. Two: There is no such "crisis", they're just playing at bull [cabbage], for media attention or god-knows what. This is worse than all the climatologists pulling global warming effect models out of their [bleep]es. Three: A quarter percent cut is not going to cause drastic "inflationary consequences". And for that matter, they're also [developmentally delayed]ed for blatantly labeling inflation as a bad thing. Morons.

I don't think four years of Latin counts as knowing another language, so I'm pretty much stuck with English ^_^'.
