I'd say for a game that took 10 years in the making. Its pretty dissapointing. Objectives are far between each other, the graphics are particularly advanced, no multiplayer. With games like CoD4 and Gears of War it doesn't do much justice for the shooting genre although it seem to hold its own on the RPG side.

I have played a couple of games on this... and I think its way too similar to Commander and Conquer 3 (360 version). It's just, like CnC3: Tiberium Wars- its had to face the fact that RTS's don't work on consoles because of the controls systems. No matter how agile you are on a controller you cannot beat the speed of PC RTS with the mouse and keyboard (hotkeys) so i really dose deduct from the fun of the gameplay. If there was a PC version i'm sure it would be good... (but not quite as good as Age of Mythology or Age of Empires 2) Also, alot of RTS longlevity comes from user generated content, and since i don't see a mapmaker/scenario maker and haven't ever seen a good RTS mapmaking system on a console, i don't expect this will last long. Ignoring the highly frustrating controls system the game is OK. It doesn't add much to the genre but i i guess if you like Command and conquer/ other fast paced RTS and you like Halo you could enjoy it. I guess if you haven't ever played PC RTS you could enjoy it in ignorant bliss of what could have been :) Also, i don't know if it's just me but they seem to have simplified things to TRY to accomodate for the controls, including making the AI fairly dumb (because previous Ensemble Studio games have had good AI). I would really reccomend buying CnC3 on PC instead of this; you could probably even download a user generated Halo skin for it if you wanted.

Yes but when they closed, Star Wars BF3 got transferred to Rebellion Developments , whno made a Star Wars PSP game once. They are hardly as qualified as Free Radical but i guess it could turn out OK.

I was really down when i heard in December that FRD closed. A world without Timesplitters is not a world I like. But this is great news. So long as they get some of the old FRD guys back working on it it'll be amazing. and i doubt it will be on the Crytek 2 Engine because TS4 has been in production for over a year and a half now (if not more), on the new Timesplitters Engine (not sure what it is... but its not the Haze engine) so they wouldn't revert all the hard work of the partially complete project just to use this new engine.

Actually, the less bounce you rely on, the better wrist control you get. OK, whilst playing a proper kit, you have to account for bounce but if you have good wrist control, you can even play with very low bounce (Heavy sticks and low pitched/large drums).

Yeah i just play Tuba for the college band because there is no other Tuba player. (once or twice a week) I play Euphonium for the County though :). (every day practice) Do you find switching between them hinders advanced technique?

Baritone and Tuba are two different instruments. Maybe he is playing a combination of the two somehow.. I play Baritone as a primary brass instrument and Tuba as a second. Maybe he put tuba in brackets to indicate that he seconds on it. The mouthpieces for E flat Tuba and Bb Baritone are so different it's almost impossible to be extremely good at both at once- so i settle for being amazing at Baritone and average at Tuba. I also play drums and piano.

At my college (6th Form) we have 4 day weeks. It works out nicely, but i don't think it would work anywhere below College (high school/primary school). This does not give the teachers a day off as not all students are off on the same day. It is designed simply to stop the college being overcrowded so roughly a fifth of students are off each week day. Its pretty neat but as i say I wouldn't think it would work for lower than college because they aren't often big enough to need this 4 day week to stop overcrowding and parents would be worried that the children aren't capable of looking after themselves so would have to pay for childcare etc.

Computers will never have adequate tactics... Only way to geta challenge is to get XBL or go to LANs. Fraid the truth hurts sometimes

Its great for PC gamers who are switching over to console. They can play their shooters just like a PC (with keyboard aswell) until they get used to pads. I know several people who have done this switch this way so they still kept in both PC and 360 pro circuits. :)

I have a very dark sense of humour... I would give you an example but out of context it would make me seem very evil lol.

You played age of mythology? Woot for AOM! Twas a pretty epic game. Ra ftw. Still got that game and play it occassionally :) Everyone says he's underpowered but really in the right hands, no umbrella can stop the fall of rain. :o But yeah i used to have a really dodgy router which just lost sync every so often (30 minutes was on a good day). So i'd be playing any game online and the connection would just go.... Really damn annoying. Especially in tournament matches :o.

Well i guess Jagex had to pull something out of the bag to make up for Duelling. So yeah you've had good stuff but at what i consider to be a hefty sacrifice.

Local Area Network (LAN) is where you links consoles/PC's up directly to game (in this case). There is effectively 0 lag, no cheating, higher stakes and other advantages over online play. Seperatley; i think Gears 2 has amazing online play, but it does have laggy spells at GMT eveningtime and other times. GMT daytime often seems good connections. :) Depends on when you play which is annoying but sometimes thats life.

Lying is fine. Just be prepared to accept any consequences that may come of it should you choose to lie. :) ( so basically if you lie, do it well) Thats my policy :)

Prince of Persia: Warrior Within when you first get chased by the Dahaka. Oh my god that scared the life out of me. Such a good game.
