The trees in the back look weird. Just how the branches are. Also how the characters are positioned looks weird too. The mage, going by where his hand is pointed to, is meant to be behind the rune guy. But because the mage guy is the same size (remember the further away something the smaller it is), it looks like he is standing next to the rune guy. It's good though. :)

It's very nice, and big. But I don't like the extreme highlighting that makes the dragon armour look plastic. And also, in a bloody battle where people die, why does he have a goofy smile? (Frozen people too). The smile make it look like they're just playing and not actually fighting.

Why are there so many "rate my WIPs" these days? I think it's a bit ridiculous to be honest. Are they meant to be kids? Cause the girl looks a bit mature (rather large rack), and also the steps look like an escalator. It looks good so far.

I dislike the face on the left handed thing. other than that it's creepy (in a good way) and different.

I am a BIG civ fan and am highly anticipating Civ IV, although I don't think splashing out on the fancy edition is all that necessary. Pure strategy.... I love it. :) Oh and Civ III is currently the best in my opinion.

Settlers I was the best. Number II comes in at close 2nd. In my opinion they just haven't done justice to the original with every subsequent version. And yes, I am a bit Settlers fan, my brother and I used to play number I on our old Amiga (oh man that was a long time ago :lol: ).

Ok I've updated it and ditched the arcade game style. I tried to do what everyone said (added dragon, birds, tried to AA it a bit more, increased the contrast on the castle, removed some odd pixels and added tree + hanging man).

Totally sweet anime style. Just some AA and more contrast with the shading would be the icing on the cake.

The shading on the latest version is a bit straight. If the light source is behind him, why is there highlighting on our side of him? There should be mostly shadow with highlighting around the edges. The arm needs to be fixed up, you need to give him an elbow and distinguish between his arm and forearm. And maybe make his arms less chubby and more muscular. It's looking not too bad though. Oh and the sun / moon looks a bit like a weird lens flare. Keep it up.
