  1. Here's a possible hint as to the DLC for Skyrim. http://ppsh-41.tumblr.com/post/13145143504/entire-tamriel-landmass-built-into-skyrim I've noticed something odd about the top tiers of armour (Dragon and Daedric). Daedric requires 90 smithing and dragon needs 100, so why is the Daedric armour better than the Dragon equivalents? 49 for Daedric armour and 46 for dragonplate for example (both are heavy armour).
  2. There's a 14 day delay from when your membership expires to you're taken off. God yes.
  3. Here's mine. No experience gained either.
  4. You can use their bones/scales for dragon smithing too.
  5. I played a little bit of Oblivion (the previous game) but had no real experience when I started Skyrim. It's easy enough to learn though, and most of what I'd assume you're taking to be confusing elements is just due to the fact that the game area is so large. You can do whatever you want in the game in any order (with the exception or needing to do prerequisite quests.)
  6. How long do you have to play to get it to say "Lots!" under your adventure log? Or is that just something you photoshopped in for the lulz? I believe that's Stev's editing.
  7. I know it would be fastest if you leave defence till last. And that doing strength first makes the others faster, though I don't know if this makes up for the less experience required to get bonuses from attack or not.
  8. Was it Ladykilljoy, right after Gearshifter, who was after Zonghui? Twas Gregechidna6, here's an interview he did for the Times. http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?times=68
  9. From Happy's guide on DKs.
  10. someone very sexy is talking in that picture When looking for sexy in that picture, it's hard to go past Blind.
  11. That conversation between the adventurer and the king was very funny. I'm looking to expand my destruction skill but I'm not sure whether to focus on fire, ice or lightning. What are the advantages and disadvantages of each?
  12. You might also want to have a look at the task system (used to be called achievement diaries), they're small activities for various areas which can gain you some rewards and are applicable for many areas though most are p2p (I'm not sure if you can unlock the f2p portions of tasks such as the varrock diary or not). Here's the link to the lumbridge task list, the ring is quite useful. http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=lumbridge_tasks.htm
  13. Exactly how much of a cash pile are we looking at here? Whip is still a quality weapon, though it has been replaced as best general use by a chaotic rapier, however this degrades and requires 80 attack and dungeoneering (one of the new skills, where you raid dungeons, usually with a team, it's also the only new f2p skill). I would suggest replace the obsidian shield with a dragon defender, obtained via the cyclopes in the warriors guild, here is a link to the relevant page. http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Warriors_guild I'd also suggest upgrading your rune boots to dragon boots, you can buy these straight off the grand exchange (a large market north of varrock west bank which lets you place buy/sell offers for nearly all tradeable items and the game will match your offer with all other offers from players across all worlds, this has replaced most player markets such as falador world 2). F2p gear now has a gravite weapon as best (via dungeoneering) and a rune berserker shield as the best shield (I think), rest is still the same. Farming can be used to make money by farming herb seeds, I believe the first profitable seed is ranarr (at level 32). You can also train this skill at the same time as other skills as your crops will continue to grow even when you're not present or logged in. Here is the tip it guide. http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=farming_guide.htm Construction is a skill which lets you build a house, while this sounds cool, it has few practical uses and was designed so that it costs a lot of money. Seeing as you're looking at training combat, if you're p2p I would go with slayer, as this will give you a wide variety of monsters to fight and will let you find a preferred monster (or continue with slayer) and will send you around the world map quite a bit. One new drop which you'll notice a lot of monsters have are charms, these are used in summoning and I suggest you collect them all. I'm unaware as to good f2p training spots though I understand the stronghold of security is quite good. Summoning is another of the new skills, it's also the only new skill which effects your combat level (at the same rate as prayer). The skill lets you summon familiars which can aid you in various things throughout runescape. While this skill does require a cash investment, it's widely considered to be worth it. The familiars can be used to fight with you (in multicombat areas only sadly), carry items for you, heal you and assist you in various skilling tasks (for example, one can fish for you can gives you a temporary boost to your fishing level. Here is the tip it guide http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=farming_guide.htm
  14. Bank isn't far away and you're going to be killing them slower than most others anyway; go with ahrims.
  15. Even from a p2p perspective this is annoying. When I look at my ranks I know that I am the x best at that, now I'm going to pass a lot of legitimate players without having actually done anything.
  16. I'm liking how it describes the people on your ignore list as friends.
  17. Which is lower than what you'd hit otherwise. But the important question you need to answer to determine the best order to kill the Glactes with your setup is, if you leave the unstable for last, how often are you unable to kill the Glacor before it starts regenerating? Then compare the costs from the extra spells and prayer required compared with the payer drain from the Glacor and the amount of kills per hour you're getting with the two methods.
  18. From the FAQ after the update, sadly I don't have a picture, but a forum user did copy out the text and I remember seeing the original post. It's a shame Jagex delete the FAQ's from their forums.
  19. Yes. Considering op's refusal to get Arc Stream or Surgebox, a better order for him might be Enduring>Unstable>Sapping, due to how slowly he'll be killing. I have no experience with his setup there though so I couldn't say.
  20. You get no better chance at a barrows item by killing 7 brothers as opposed to killing 6. People tend to leave torag as his items are worth less. While the new necklace makes barrows faster than in the past, this doesn't change whether you'd be better off by doing more runs or less runs with a kill count.
  21. Suck it up or stop thinking in Apm. Just click faster/more accurately if you'e doing stuff too slowly.
  22. Sapping>Enduring>Unstable.
  23. The penalty decreases as you go on, the maximum being -84% which I believe is after 9(10?) deaths. Even though the death counter goes up to 15, deaths won't take you past -84.

Virtus>Ahrim for mage top/bottom/hood (unless on slayer task). Ragefire boots, barrows gloves, celestial surgebox. If surge of armadyl: Armadyl battlestaff>chaotic staff>staff of light. If not surge of armadyl: Chaotic staff>staff of light.
  25. Thinking of getting this game, should I go for xbox 360 or pc?
