  1. If the average combat level is over 90 then you get half xp in f2p. I kind of assumed you were sorry, I guess that point doesn't really apply in your case.
  2. They need to reduce the prices in f2p (dunno about p2p) because the items are just rip-offs. That will work. Jk. Why wont it work? as long as they dont reduce it significantly Because if they just reduce the price on f2p worlds then members are going to go there for the rewards. Most of the higher token rewards are members only so it doesn't really solve that problem either. The main issues are with the experience reduction in f2p (which I think should be removed), the truncating of tokens compared to xp making things harder to estimate and the fact you're over estimating the time it will take you to get the tokens needed, it's not that much really.
  3. Type what your selling turn chat on hide turn trade on ????? Yes, doing all that is annoying. Like green said.
  4. If you got members mining probably wouldn't be your first priority.
  5. I was very suprised to see this pop up, good work on the money raised and it's a shame that jagex complained about it.
  6. 26,455 xp/h. 203 days and 16 hours played.
  7. I think anon was semi in the right when they were ddosing the websites that had admitted to ddosing other websites and the law firm which seems to be accusing anyone they think will pay. The attacking of the government websites seems to be unneccesary though and I can see them potentially running into issues if the annoy the wrong departments. Regardless of your opinion on the morality of piracy, you do need to admit this is kind of amusing though. @Sniper, what level economics is this? I haven't done it and I'm in my last year of high school and I'm taking two economics subjects at university next year, kind of worried now that I read that and have no idea about most of it.
  8. Erm, well that can't happen so yeah. Edit: If you boosted the stat then it could've dropped naturally.
  9. Not going to provide a list as you can get that yourself with this link. But using the + button on mousekeys is allowed, even though it goes against the 1 input 1 output guideline, proof is here: http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Mousekeys
  10. It certainly would be interesting to see if Zezima sticks around/makes up ground. Have to echo mighty's sentiments here. If he does stick around I'm guessing he'll be mentioned semi regularly in the 'other players' part which accompanies some updates?
  11. In most cases you're right, the spots which are crowded on every world, graardor as mentioned in a different post. When it's something which isn't crowded however, say pretty much everything in kuradels dungeon for example, they're not increasing the availability of materials to the economy. Because if you're running out of spawns, which results in less kills and less drops, when one person could hop and then you could both kill more which lead to a greater introduction of materials. I don't think I phrased this very well so I hope someone can improve or you undertand me anyway.
  12. I asked a similar question to this a month or two ago, general answer is world 6 is your best bet. If you have high roles/penance gear you're more likely to get into an experienced team though with your levels that won't be too much of an issue. If you're in a team and someone in there is working well and seems reliable, just ask to add them, they're probably looking for people who know what they're doing too.
  13. Pretty much the highest experience potion you can do. If you want to make money then don't do herblore, just sell the herbs/secondaries. If you mean you want to train herblore while reducing the amount of cash you'll spend then have a look at this link: http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=tix0mH-83pgzsARJj6D9vvA&output=html Pick the potion which is the best compromise of gp/xp and xp/h. Then sell all of your other herbs and buy those potion supplies. Your herb gathering methods are solid.
  14. Buy an ardougne teleport tab, dueling ring to castle wars and run from there are the two fastest ways I can think of without using your own magic level. There are some bears in the area on the way to mind altar if I remember correctly, annoyingly spread out and few though.
  15. Pls L2Read. I said the Str Bonus comes close. The speed also comes close. Did I say they were exactly like Knives? No, I did not. Nor did he say they were exactly the same, just told you to conduct a test as to which would be better xp and by how much, allowing calculation rather than trolling to take place. Why did you flame one of the few constructive posts on your thread? It's far more interesting than the thread itself. Also, the thread could be locked, but he's still going to find something else stupid to post about.
  16. Ok, thanks for that. Some followup questions: How long should a full run through of the waves take: With a pro team? With an average team? And at what time per 1-10 completed will the penance horn xp be faster than regular training with ape atoll (no fails) and lrc?
  17. I've been reading that the penance horn is worth charging in order to improve my xp in mining and agility. In order to charge it I need to play barbarian assault and was wondering if there were any clans dedicated to this. The only one I could find, Barbarian Assault Addicts, requires invites and that I spend a month before I'm allowed to be voted in. This is more time investment than I'm willing to spend for not actually playing the minigame. So if anyone knows of any others, I'd be happy to hear about them. I have level 5 in all roles and can remember how to do them all relatively well except defender (been a while since I last played). If there are no other clans, is there anything I should do in world 6 in order to get myself into a decent team? (I don't have/want to spend points on full penance)
  18. @Impressionist Yeah my mistake, I just used square's figures for how much is made per hour. Your calculation makes things seem much more reasonable. I will retract that argument and return to my previous one about "wasting" prayer points as to why I don't piety/turmoil, which I'll admit is highly subjective, still works for me though. That's the beauty of subjective efficiency/argument.
  19. @Ob I'll take your word for it, I was just using the numbers he provided. Also, slayer is my main form of income (in addition to dailies, which go with anything really). So for it to break even for me, is a very poor result. Might not be for others, just on a personal level, and I was making the subjective argument, not the objective one after all.
  20. Your objective argument I agree with, however, while this may seem a little obvious, it requires that you make 3.1m/h. You say 1m/h but it adds to 3.1 so I'm assuming your first figure is including the drops. This is a rather substantial figure (not for some I admit, but for many it is). Anyway, where I'm going with this is that even if I can make that much per hour, it doesn't mean I want to. I'm more happy with not using all the methods you mentioned as it means I don't have to go out and make money, not because I enjoy hitting lower. Therefore, your argument for subjectivity in this particular is flawed. I picked this out because all of the costs are clearly listed (also it's a recent post), to illustrate the fact that just because I can make a certain amount of money per hour, it doesn't mean I want to. A better term for working out this sort of thing would be the amount someone is willing and able to spend per hour.
  21. I think this is one of the best summations I've read in this thread so far. Damn right we do, I like castle wars too though.
  22. I would say that tip it (both the main site and forums) still have useful information. The knowledge based tends to focus more on facts whereas the information posted here goes into greater detail and has guidance included. I think the game has become smaller as things which were previously just being discovered have become wider spread. When you hit the first proven (to my knowledge) 100, that was unheard of outside of a quest, and corect me if I'm wrong, sparked a stickied topic about hitting high. That was a first, nowadays many firsts in runescape have already happened, making it seem less informative as we've been aware of them for a long time, a player starting today would be shocked by the amount of information on here though.
  23. A few years ago I tended to notice more flaming in the "rate this" forum, which was mostly between a few groups, clifford could probably give a better description of it than me though. Nowadays it seems to have spread a little bit more. There's always been/always will be people who argue though. If the moderators say that it's decreased then I'm inclined to believe them, they deal with it after all.
  24. @Jr Firstly I don't consider myself and efficient or DIY player. I used to DIY but burnt out that and stopped that long ago (haven't gained a fletching level since prior to constructions release). If I hadn't taken the time to cut my logs, gather natures etc, then I may have 99 in it. This is just my personal view, shows how burning out on a skill can go both ways. I don't really consider myself efficient, when I slay (my favourite skill) I don't use a cannon (though I have previously) and don't use piety/wouldn't use turmoil if I had the level. While it's argued that its slower (and therefore requires more effort) because I enjoy slaying in this way I discount the added effort/time it takes. I'm quite glad you couldn't tell which side of the fence I was sitting on from my first post, that was the idea, so people would judge based on my points rather than whether I agreed/disagreed with them. In my example of my preferred skill, the way I train it this way is because I tend to browse other websites while doing most activities in runescape. If I was using piety then I would feel obligated to pay full attention which would decrease my enjoyment (as it's now only coming from runescape as opposed to runescape + something else). Even if it worked out to be more profitable/faster looking at other websites and using piety, because I wouldn't be getting the full benefit of piety (slow to attack the next monster, turn off prayer when not in combat etc) I would feel as though I was wasting my gp. This feeling would override any statistical improvements gained from piety and make me feel worse about training slayer. To avoid this, no piety is used even though it's slower. Also, I tend to avoid newer training methods, preferring to stick with what I know though slowly changing over time. I wasn't meaning that others should say what their preferred setups are, only that they need to decide them independantly and that help and advice topics will tend to only give option 1 unless this is excluded in the post. I read the tip it times article (though I had been following this thread previously). I didn't however read the accompanying thread, after following the link I saw lots of arguments and that it had been locked so I didn't take the time to read those posts carefully, though it seems racheya is being flamed from what I did read. @Xara For me, there are skills I don't like, yet I want a certain level in (77 runecrafting for bloods in dungeoneering for example). Since I don't enjoy the path, I want to take the option which involves the least training. For me this means genie lamps (though no zmi, like I said, slow to switch training methods). For me, I'll have more fun once I'm at the level than actually training it, this is only for some skills though. @Not_Trolling I think this is a good example of what you were talking about. I can see different people taking each of those options. They all have their own advantages and disadvantages which can be worked around (money can be made in other ways for example). That each of these methods seems to be relatively popular to different portions of the runescaping society supports their merits. The xp/h, gp/h and fun/h of all different methods is also affected by these values for other activities, which means there's a wide array of choices for what to do as each person has to weigh up all of the different factors. Don't forget also that sometimes you're just more in the mood for one type of training over another even if it isn't usually that way.
  25. A couple of things about your order assasin: 1. If you start farming at 1.5 then you should be done before 7. 2. Many of the buyables in step 2 could get experience from the effigies received in step 3. I don't know how much xp would be received but people seem to be putting it at 10-30m, so we'll say 20m. perhaps they should get 170m xp then stop? This would be faster in the pursuit of 200m in all skills but they'd be sacrificing some rankings. The rest I tend to agree with, though slayer could be pushed up to a sort of 2.5 giving more time to flip for cash to pay for other buyables. Also prayer and herblore the two skills which are likely to become more expensive with time, so unless they want to wait for another (unconfirmed?) bonus xp weekend, they should probably prioritise these over the seemingly cheap forever cooking/firemaking.
