why are climbing boots worth more than rune plate?
The items kept on death is decided by high alchemy value. Because pkers were using climbing boots for just 12gp each for +2 strength, Jagex changed how they worked. Introducing Rock Climbing boots which have the bonus and can be bought for 75k and alch for 45k and Climbing boots which can be bought for 12gp for the quests. 45k alch price is higher than the rune plates I guess.

Yellowstone's Super Volcano takes a "Deep Breath"
I think people are underestimating the effect of the ash cloud, from wikipedia:

999134thpure - staking video!
Very nice video, couple things though. Maybe consider putting a starting/ending bank comparison at the end of video? Also, the rocktails are I assume if someone sneaks food on, if not then why not grab some more pouches to save you banking every few stakes?

Congratulations on that partyhat and a nice outfit too, I take it from the vials that you had it planned rather than simply threw it together? @Muddy, it's holy water from legends quest.

3rd Age/Spirit shields/Phats Discussion
Jagex said the limits on how much you could buy in a certain time period would be staying, unless it was a coincidence that my offer got filled to 24999 then that's still there. Also, they won't punish people for this when it's not clear and they haven't said anything about it specifically (post update I mean)

200M in all Skills
Has anyone seen activity when it comes to essence running or is it too early for that still? Would also be good to see screenshots/get updates of any donations the top players are receiving.

One can hope, though I did go for something a little more realistic personally, while still being in the same spirit.

World 2 falador
Any reasons that GE is better than fally park? The fact that you have space for trading with people in person, as well as the ability to buy/sell things on the exchange without having to telport to it and run there first. Personally, the only issue with trading at the ge right now is the lack of organisation (or have I just not seen a map for it?) and the fact that it doesn't have the nostalgia. it is all a matter of personal preference. one is not better than the other. Except for the reason listed and the fact that if the majority chose one place, then you're not going to have that great a time trading when nobody else is around.

when should i repot extremes for slay and bosses?
For slayer, assuming I'm not banking for the task. I divide the amount of monsters I have to kill by the amount of doses I have, if I've got 8 doses and 200 monsters to kill for example, then I'll repot every 25 kills.

Cwars
Yeah I've played in a game with 3 people in it, so I assume two is possible. Super, I'm guessing they probably make you wait the time in order to avoid abuse, no evidence though.

MightyMuddy's blog
Well we do have the sheep herder and mournings end quests, and used to have sheep shearer. So since Muddy's done those, he's actually played all of the sheep related content already. Also Blade, you kind of brought the comments on your blog on yourself, what with the styling of it.

Nice with the pickaxe, it's a shame they're dropping though. Also gathering your own item for use isn't very efficiency.

Good luck with your goals. Cooking shouldn't take too long and then you can move onto dungeoneering. Nice cash pile. I never realised you were a fellow New Zealander

200M in all Skills
Good to see another contender posting. Personally I would advise you do dungeoneering first if what I understand about the skill becoming slower (due to people finishing it up) is true. Even if that's not the case, you'd still get some minor xp gains from doing the dungeons which would save time later on. It also will give you something to do until free trade which if the expected donations come in, means you will be able to do runecrafting/slayer/buyables more quickly whereas free trade doen't really effect dungeoneering.
