  1. I'm afraid you're out of luck. *Nothing* member-related will work on non-member servers. :(
  2. It would be so cool if it were true. But unfortunately I can't think of a way to test it out either. Its not like there is a way to predict when the plant will become diseased for testing purposes. :(
  3. Actually, you can still use it after the quest to make "super" plant cure any time you want. Not that the super version is anymore effective.
  4. Yeah, the free part is a nice sort of "Training wheels" thing that lets you get used to the game while deciding whether you really like a style of gameplay that involves long-term planning rather than quick reactions.
  5. Depending on how they actually turn out, I think I might end up wanting a few of those teleportation tablets mentioned in the news.
  6. Wow, I'm surprised that the mention of a 1-2 year ban appeal hasnt attracted more comments! People seem to get so worked up over getting banned for just a few days... How could an appeal possibly take that long?!
  7. Two things that I'm too lazy to quote: Maybe the magic amulet stops them? Theres a quick way to find out. Bank all your stuff and try approaching the wizard with and without it. The walk back from lumbridge is not all that long. The thing about hobgoblins attacking someone twice their level: I seem to recall seeing the hobgoblins at the wilderness mine attacking someone significantly more then twice their level (and I play with Calculator ready, so I'm pretty sure about my math on that one), so at least some monsters can do it. In relation to the thread overall: That is definately weird! I would suggest experimenting. Wield different things, try it with and without the ammy, see if there is anyone else he doesnt attack, etc. (This is assuming you really care of course, which you very well may not.)
  8. As I understand it, the ads are automatically generated by google or something. There is a sticky in one of the forums for reporting bad ads so they can be removed.
  9. Lol, one more thing temporarilly lost during the server problems. Well, lets hope its temporary... :(
  10. Thats pretty cool. I hope they keep it like that. When I first heard about this bug I was kind of disappointed to find that it didnt actually do anything.
  11. So what you're saying is... Remember to think before clicking a link? Lol, nice rhyme  , though your meter is considerably off. As for the search engines, I hope there are keyloggers all over them for any moron who thinks he should cheat his way to power and wealth. Actually I find some of the "cheats" out there to be quite hilarious. One of the most popular ones is a way to get infinate money. The method is described differently in different places, but it essentially boils down to this: 1. Go to karamja. 2. Pick bannans and put them in the crate. 3. Get 30gp/ 4. Repeat until you have all the money you need. I am not joking, that is seriously written on a half-dozen game cheating sites, passed off as an "Infinate money" cheat. Smilies can not describe how hard I laughed when I first encountered that "cheat".
  12. I do that on occasion as well. I believe it is actually a symptom of my larger disorder; OCC. (Obsessive-Compulsive Clicking) Yes, I frequently click my mouse buttons dozens of times, even when I know perfectly well that it wont do anything. :? OCC leads me to do things like toggle back and forth a few times between the inventory, prayer, and magic tabs before finally settling back on the inventory tab, examine things that I already know the examines to, and randomly highlight and deselect text before highlighting and deselecting it again. Fortunately OCC and its companion disorders can be delt with. I find it helps to surf the web, use the forums, and just generally multitask in order to provide useful outlets to ones excess clicking/examining. Acknowledgement is the first step towards recovery. Together we can overcome our OCC, OCE, OCR, OCABC, and any other OC's that technology cares to challenge us with!
  13. I don't understand why they keep fixing these bugs! A dancing egg is cool right? And its fun to mess up your viewpoint! Why do they have to take all the neat bugs out? Can't they leave them in as a sort of cool extra thing to do when bored?
  14. I've talked to some of them and let me reassure you. They are not human... but they mean us no harm  Lol. That is pretty funny. I hope it wasent anything important
  15. Interesting idea actually. Not Zezima, but it would be interesting to get some friends together and experiment with this to see if mass reporting actually get people banned. Just be sure to keep it well-documented so you can prove to Jagex that it was fake!
  16. I believe thats the arcane historical spelling of magic, like how people used to say "ye olde" such-and-such.
  17. I REALLY REALLY wish that I could direct users of the Runescape forums to this article :( Pity about the whole "Other websites are evil, and we are not to acknowledge their existence" policy... Maybe that can be the issue for the next article :) I think some of those ignorant people mentioned in the article have already posted here...
  18. CAN YOU PEOPLE SHUT UP ABOUT THE STUPID HITLER-STALIN-HOLOCAUST CRAP ALREADY!!!??? :x
  19. I do hope you realize that Jagex will NOT be happy if they find out about this. I understand that they don't like people copying/distributing their music.
  20. Ok, I've been wanting to ask this question for some time... Exactly what evidence is there that people are actually banned from mistakes like this? I don't mean to disparge your claims, I am just curious as to their source. I think there is a very good chance that most of the people who say "I was banned unfairly because I was on a router" are lying. Does anyone have any evidence to the contrary?
  21. This... would... be SO INDESCRIBABLY COOL!!! I support! How could I not support!? I don't suppose you ever sent this to Jagex and recieved a response?
  22. Im certain that Jagex is trying to draw people away from fansites. Jagex supposedly encourages fansites, but lately I think they have stopped trusting them. I've talked to a disturbing amount of people who are of the opinion that fansites are nothing more than keylogger-infested enclaves of Jagex-bashing, scamming, and advertisments on how to cheat.
