My sons all play "Puzzle Pirates". Everyone on there plays Poker for "Pieces of Eight". Not sure on age limit on PP,.. prob very low. Does Jagex want to be whiter than white? TTFN

Along similar lines, when I saw it (it only happens once) I presumed it's to warn you not to attack the Shamans. After the quest, we have all probably done it once (... i wonder what these drop.... BAM... OUCH!) RSN: Curbridge TTFN

Although I'm not high ranged, I had some great fun at the Bandit Camp (wielding Zammy book or unholy symbol). You can arrange them around you so you are hitting up to i guess 10 bandits at a time...maybe more.... Just need a lot of them, and a few pray pots etc... TTFN

To get enough swamp tar...kill CAVE SLIME. 100% tar drop (1-9).. much faster than running round lumby swamp!! TTFN RSN :Curbridge

I noticed it too.... when wearing Obby Cape over larupia or Gaark (sp) camo gear, the "waistband" shows through the cape. TTFN

One person per trap? With hundreds likely hunting on each server? Dumb. Only word for Jagex on that one. well they cant exactly place several hundred traps per server can they, that will be just too unrealistic, and unnecessary. These are just release hypes. Also the creatures would have to fall into a trap themselves, so having several hundred trap in 1 spot is also impractical. think before you post please I'm going to have to go ahead and agree with Phelim here. There doesn't need to be a ton of traps, or even a ton of animals. Why do the animals have to be seen to everyone? Why cant everyone just have their own individual animals that no one else can see. As mentioned, no one else can see farming crops, so I would imagine they would be able to make Hunting a similar way. It works fine for the pit traps in the jungle.. u have your own set of branches covering the pit...I think the deadfall should be the same... TTFN RSN: Curbridge... 35 Hunter

Ballooning.... all uses (Please add any I've Missed)
pk_stinker posted a topic in General Discussion
I think so far, there has been two uses cited for the balloon transport... namely Laws and Planks. I myself use it for a couple of other things as well. Anyway, I thought it would be useful to consolidate all the uses into one post. Pretty much all of them require duel ring as this allows direct access to bank and then out to nearby balloon. 1. Law crafting Pouches + pure ess + normal log + law tiara + duel ring - ENTRANA (Possibly not as fast as abyss, but fast enough nonetheless.. and safe) 2. Planking Desired logs + cash + willow log + duel ring - VARROCK (Cheaper than servant, however weight limit may be an issue with max inventory) 3. Earth Crafting Pouches + pure or normal ess + willow log + earth tiara + duel ring - VARROCK (Slightly lower xp than powercrafting fires, but gives more runes and isuseful for stocking up on earths.. I myself have 20k fires from powercrafting, so nice alternative) 4. Limestone Mining Pick + willow log + duel ring - VARROCK (Although still a fair walk at the other end, this has definitely shortens the process for free construction xp) 5. Vials/Eye of Newts (Method 1) Cash + normal log + duel ring - ENTRANA (A little herblore shop is available just below Entrana's balloon station, the only problem is 50 of each in stock max, so world hopping may be required) 6. Vials/Eye of Newts (Method 2) Cash + normal log + duel ring - TAVERLEY (Run west to use Jatix in the herblore shop. Much more stock, however slightly longer run) 7. Cowhides Fave weapon + little or no armour + oak log + duel ring - CRAFTING GUILD (Cows just south west of you) 8. Snape Grass Oak log + duel ring - CRAFTING GUILD (Nip south round the crafting guild to access the spawns) 9. Limpwurt Roots Oak log + melee gear (watch weight) + duel ring - CRAFTING GUILD (As for snape grass above, except whoop some hobby butt) 10. Air Crafting Oak Log + ess/pure ess + pouches + air tiara + duel ring - CRAFTING GUILD (An alternative to running up to fally east bank - needs timing to see if useful bearing in mind duel ring usage) 11. Seaweed Normal Log + duel ring - ENTRANA (ty willyhenriksen) (Probably faster to use charter ship store, but added anyway) 12. Crafting Guild Ores (Gold/Silver/Clay) (ty primadog) Oak Log + brown apron + duel ring + pick - CRAFTING GUILD (After Swan Song, you can get brown apron from the necromancer just to the east if you forget it) 13. Spirit Tree Access (ty NukeMarine) Magic Log - GNOME STRONGHOLD (Expensive way to get to spirit tree, but fast. Alternative would be glory to edge, then east across bridge, or fairy ring to outside tree gnome village, then go inside) 14. Tree Farming - method 1 (ty NukeMarine) Normal Log - TAVERLEY (Lands right by the tree spot) 15. Tree Farming - method 2 (ty NukeMarine) Magic Log - GNOME STRONGHOLD (Expensive, but could combine with trip to taverley first to do two trees in one hit) 16. Fruit Tree Farming (ty NukeMarine) Magic Log - GNOME STRONGHOLD (Again expensive, but could combine with 14 and 15 to do 3 tree hits for the price of a normal and magic log) Without duel rings, yew logs are a possibility (albeit 300 gp and an inv slot in cost) to return to bank. Add anything I havent thought of. TTFN -
In Tai Bwo Wanna Cleanup, you an get Mosquito Probocises. I think it was once mentioned that these could be used as blowpipe ammunition.... perfect hunting weapon in jungle countries.... :) Any Thoughts? TTFN

Everyone (quite understandably) is swept up with the new quest, and the upcoming 99 capes. I thought one of the nice additions to today's updates was the ability to operate teleport jewellery without un-equipping it. What's everyone elses thoughts? Any benefits? It's one less inv space after all... TTFN

4 September 2006 - Myreque Pt III - Darkness of Hallowvale
pk_stinker replied to Quasar889's topic in General Discussion
Right, not sure wot the knife is for.. i haven't needed that yet.. First, repair the boat (plank and 4 nails), then repair slipway (plank and 4 nails). Board boat and sail to Sanguenesti area. Do a jump and climb and go along wall till you get to ladder. Go dwon and inspect wall. Now go back up ladder and return towards boat. near end of wall are some weak floorboards.. kick them. You can now go down, and then climb over rubble into main area. This quest is all about observation and detail. Talk to a few people until one recommends you talk to Old Man Ral. Talk to him and flatter him about being a sage. Talk to him again and ask for help, and he will tell you about sickle symbols being the way to the Myreque. Next go upstairs in one of the buildings and start jumping from floorboards and pushing false wall going from rooftop to rooftop. At this point I better go earn a living, so you guys take over... btw, I talked to Cat to no avail :) TTFN -
Rapidshare is useless if you have pc's behind a router/firewall. It requires direct IP connection, which is only good if you have a PC directly connected via dial-up or broadband router Megaupload seems to works for me, as well as my own personal space. TTFN

I see what he is saying, and often wondered it myself. The stats, pray and pot bonuses seem easy enough to understand as the pot/pray directly affects the natural stat. However, equipment seems to have numbers ranging from 0 to over 200 (for barrows stuff.. correct me if im wrong). Now, does that mean I have to add that to my natural/pray boosted/pot boosted stats? e.g. 99 def + 150 def from a piece of armour = 249 apparent def or are the equipment stats to be divided by, say 10, and then added. e.g. 99 def + 150 armour def = 99 + (150/10) = 114 apparent def i.e what is the equivalent stat boost from the armour/equipment? Clear as mud? lol TTFN

After completeing quest, you can now thieve the guards in the lower tunnels for normal stuff plus Keys! So far, silver, bronze, steel, and iron. Silver unlocks chest in NW room Iron unlocks chest in NE room (after picklocking door) Bronze unlocks chest in SW room Steel unlocks chest in SE room (after picklocking door) There are two other chests in the large room to north, but no keys for them yet. Silver chest gives diamond, and sapphire jewellery... up to 3 items! Steel gave plain jewllery... iron and bronze gave a few coins EDIT: It seems to be random.. just got Emmy ammy from steel chest.. and coins from silver Have fun TTFN

15 March 2006 - Hundredth Quest - Recipe for Disaster!

I don't think there is ever a hat in there. It always just says 0 hats, no matter how long I stay there. Goblins and imps drop them fairly readily! -
