I feel like we could have gotten more for AK46. And we could have gotten rid of a lot more players, too <_<

So it's been around 30 months since I began working out and two years since I started this thread, time for an update. I've gained ~20 lbs in the last 2 months due to a new interesting "regime" of eating fat foot, drinking beer like a Canadian and sleeping and being slack on the cardio. At first I felt like I was changing as much as when puberty hit, but that's cause I was underweight my whole life. Right now I'm pretty sure I'm at my ideal weight, but not ideal sexyness! I knew I had to do something the day I bent forward in my chair and felt my belly squeeze. It feels so unnatural to twigs like me that I can't have any of it. Even though I hate what my good ol' gym has turned into, I went back for 3-4 workouts per week anyways. That was early February. Nowadays I catch glimpses of myself in the thousands of mirrors (yes thousands I shit you not) at the gym and I can tell I look like a guy with some weight to him. Normal, some people would call it. I can now almost benchpress my maximum I set last summer, and feeling good. It sucks that I have to get rid of a lot of my Small sized clothes, those things cling to me like leotards now, but there's way more Medium sized selections so I'm happy. I guess the point of this update is to inform you guys that at some point, we all fill out. I happened to do so much later than normal. This has brought changes to my routine, such as extra cardio exercises to get my heart used to pumping more of me and abdominal workouts to turn my beer keg back into a six-pack. Its more work but it has some positives, such as not floating in medium sized shirts and being harder to push over when standing. My last point is the one that brought me back to this thread, which is that after ~1.5 years of working out at my current gym I am quitting. As of mid March I will be working out at my universities gym  . Oh, and I can't take anymore progress pictures with that tiny white shirt because I ripped it off at a party yelling "ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED!?". It was worth it.

Tripsis, thats the exact OPPOSITE of boring  Why are you telling me what to do in a thread that is asking about what you do?

Patches is awesome, can't believe I forgot that dude :shame: Sure Plekky is statistically bad and doesn't help out much, but the man has the sickest breakaways at the most opportune moments which makes him the greatest in my eyes :^_^: Nobody on that team has charisma. We played an entire season (or two?) without a freaking captain. I haven't seen one interesting Habs player interviewed since Cammalleri, and we know what happened to him. Nobody has such insane talent that people can hover around. As Fray said, I personally have no idea where the team is headed. Hell, for once I'd side with the French and say get an entire French speaking team and see how that goes. Obviously I wouldn't be pointing out all these flaws if they weren't losing, but they are. And in a very boring, dull fashion. I mean, take into account who's writing this. A dude born and raised on hockey IN MONTREAL and I can't stand watching a game unless I have a steady supply of beer and friends.

I'm genuinely interested in what everyone here does when they are alone in their homes. That means even if you're the most boring plank of wood in the lumbermill you should still post. To be clear, I'm talking about a solid >3 hours where you're certain nobody will bother you so you end up doing whatever you like, which is: ? I ask because when left alone people tend to do fun stuff, and I could add this to the list of awesome things to do in my own time. [hide=what I do]I personally blast The Darkness from my crappy cpu speakers and airguitar while singing along. I also walk around in my (untied) bathrobe. Very breezy \::/ If I'm seeing a girl, she's the first to know I have a free timeslot (or last, depending ;-) ). Finally, hmmm, I guess I talk to myself/about what I'm doing as I'm doing it like some sort of schizo. [/hide] Feel free to not judge the crazy things other people do unless that's what you enjoy doing when nobody is around. Like in any other thread I rarely make, I urge you to actually think before posting in this one. I swear, if you all start posting the same unorigional thing even though somebody else already mentioned it I will force you to listen to me singing "I believe in a thing called love".

It is very wise to give yourself a break between books. Its been ~1 month since I've read a storm of swords and even now I don't feel ready for #4.

Habs are breaking my heart... 14th spot in the East and a game up from the 15th team :( I don't even like watching the games anymore, this team is garbage. If it weren't for Plekanec and Georges I'd say there wasn't a single good player left on that team.

Took a rock climbing class in college, never went outdoors nor plan on it either. Sorry

Jeans and t-shirt call for converse in my books!

I've discovered that ~2-3 liters of beer is the perfect amount of alcohol to be consumed at a pre-drink get together before going out to town.
-
4 guys, 48 beers. Luckily one of us was German, and even though he was the first to quit, he taught us how to open beer with newspapers. It was fun to have a night with no women present to cause retarded issues for once.

I hate it when a spot a really attractive girl from afar, pull all my woman charming alarms and set all handsome modes to critical and then realize she's 14 years old. Sigh

I'm all for getting rid of "bro science" posts, but if you're gonna start scrutinizing every post and pointing out all the fallacies, you'd better start referencing your own arguments or else we won't be able to judge which posts to heed by. After all, the only thing separating science from pseudoscience is research articles published by well founded peer review magazines. Anyways, people don't do enough leg workouts as it is so I would just like to point out that you shouldn't be scared of looking like a T-rex. If anything, you'll look more proportional (and thus healthy) than people who only work out their upper bodies (I know quite a few of them). That said, working your biceps, shoulders and abs will get you far more lady points but I don't think that's your goal so.. nevermind.

Well, either way hockey games are max 2.5 hours long.
-
Its more like 2 hours if you do it efficiently. I take the public transport to go to games though so its a bit different (in Montreal, we have a metro, bus stations and train station right at the hockey arena).

In complete disregard to everything posted earlier: i love biology. Instead of coffee and donuts being served at the weekly seminar, the new host of the seminars replaced the donuts with pizza and the coffee with beer. Nothing more fun than sitting back with a Stella and listening to somebody talk about how they can cure MS by resetting the patients immune system and the underlying mechanism that makes it so efficient. That said, I was supposed to go to the casino, then hit up a birthday party, and then go taboozing but I only just woke up from my nap :wall: oh well, awesome day anyways

*clears throat* "SCOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTT GOOOOOMEEEEEEEZZZZ!!!!"

Not the number itself, the measurement (don't forget the cm). Writing 11 cm implies you can only be precise to the centimeter, whereas writing 11.0 cm implies you were precise to the millimeter. Its dumb but it makes sense when you're reading scientific papers - sig figs help everyone be on the same page in a way.

Must've been a pretty good hospital. Today my lab partner was in a hurry because he (a male, to my dismay) needed to study for a test. I told him to slow down, he's knocking everything around, and lots of the procedures need extreme care. "NAH MAN GOTTA DO THIS REAL FAST GOTTA STUDY" is what he replied, right before tipping over the bunsen burner onto his notes. He was all :ohnoes: trying to extinguish a never ending flame of gas but I was all l :ugeek: and leaned over and turned off the gas. Everything went out instantly and he listened to my directions from then on  .
-
Well yeah, theres a difference between 11 cm and 11.0 cm. I only really began to appreciate sig figs in university... in high school and college/cegep they make your life a living hell (unnecessarily, like you said).

It is hypocritical to not join a society because you think the title means nothing and then go on to say you would have had the title if only you had joined them. Maybe its one of those things that's too obvious that you can't see it at first. As an aside: If you want the title, then join. You'll add a line to your CV for 80$, and some people will probably think that its a good deal. But if you're at the top 15% of your school you should be on either a) the honour roll or b) the deans list in the first place. You aren't going to shine through the other candidates just because you forked up some money when there are much better standards people will base you off of.

If this Benjamin Zephaniah fella was using that statement to prove he's better than other poets then yeah, it kinda does make him less of a poet (and person). Can't you see the hypocrisy in statements like that?
-
I loved the hell out of Battle Royale, the novel and the manga. Do you know where I could get hold of the manga? (i.e. is a pirated version floating around the internet?)
-
No, getting invited to a society that comes with a joining stipulation fee does not mean you are smart. In fact, its the whole foundation of the argument to not join in the first place. Saying you were invited but declined makes you look like you're weak enough to show you cared about their invite but too cheap to join. The main benefit to this scam society is to go to their meetings and make connections with people in your field, and if you haven't forked up the 80$ plus whatever else it costs to attend a dinner, then there's no point in joining or saying you were invited.
-
Its kinda of a dick move to not join the society but say you were invited.
