  1. I do agree for the most part in your point but, We as users of this forum have no choice who is appointed to be moderator/admin. It is the current moderators and admins who choose. So we dont entrust them with anything we just hope they do a good job.
  2. When i played RS a lot the Music was horrible. i had to bang itunes on most of the time and play in low detail i hated the music THAT much lol.
  3. Haha the old miniclip made RS bad argument. Lol to be honest it may have been a bad decision for people like you. But the game wouldn't have half the quests, skills or updates it has now if it wasnt for all those 'little kids' who play from miniclip. Like someone mentioned earlier they generate income for jagex. Its a smart move for a company and a rational one at that. If the move was THAT bad then you would've stopped playing RS by now. You might not have been a miniclip player but there are many who are and are also good members of the community. Stereotypes make people believe they are superior to someone just because of where they came from. It could be defined as racism but even a gaming community cant go that far. Unless for some reason jagex put a giant banner saying MINICLIP above each person who joined from miniclips name and whenever "the superiors" saw them they would shout "HAHA ITS A CLIPPER NOOB"
  4. Run Escape is me yep lol. A couple friends were talking about it and i was like what you guys talkin about? and they said "naah man you wouldn't be interested," I was really interested in what they were talkin about. And here i am now.
  5. Do what you want really.... its a game no-one elses methods of playing should infuence you in your decisions. Do whatever skills you think would be helpful in your progress through runescape. For example magic if you want to pk. Or Attack to wield new weapons and defense to wear new armour. Just whatever your looking for in a game really.
  6. Wow really? When i last played it was 300 ea  I guess a lot of people alch yewbows then?? well nats are 300 each. The key word is profit: (as in, price of nat minus price of pure ess) so 300 - 100 = 200 gp profit per rune. Ah k. Damn that tempted me to get back members just then lol.
  7. Wow really? When i last played it was 300 ea  I guess a lot of people alch yewbows then??
  8. It took me a while to read that lol and what you said pretty much sums up all thats happened. You've probably done it better than me as i remember you being much more active in the Forums more than i ever was. Im glad to see that an admin who may or may not be responsible for whats happened to take actual interest in this topic. I know that if i was in your position i would be flaming the user who posted this topic. I also respect the fact that you are the first of all the staff that have posted here (i may be wrong but as far as i know) that admit that tip.it has gone downhill and that i am not blaming staff entirely as their not fully at fault. Yes they created stickies, but they did it thinking we as the users of tip.it would prefer this. They did it for interest and for the interest of the people who complained about spam topics and are possibly even complaining about stickies on this topic contradicting their complaints to staff. The most important sentence in your post or what the sentence referred to was: Why fix something thats not broken?
  9. Tip.it guides are extremely informative or as informative as a guide for an online game can get. It covers everything i need to know and if not well then... its usually not important anyways lol :P.
  10. If you ask me he has a valid point. All these accounts are ours in the end. Although they are the 'intellectual properties of Jagex' which is what makes us lose our edge as that was what we agreed to when we registered to RS. He has a valid point and i think likewise however the terms and conditions we dont read at all when we first register and click accept contradict what we speak now. They have the rights to shut our accounts down and we cant do crap because its their property :(
  11. Im fully aware that moderators are human. But so are we, im sure even some of the moderators feel this community has become more restrictive. Of course many may argue the organization has significantly improved but it is definitely more restrictive. Why make a forum that is focused on gaming this restrictive...? :( People like to post topics without being spammed at and reported for "posting in the wrong thread or stickies" heck a lot of good topics end up in stickies. Lets face it a LOT of these stickies are just trash cans. When theres too many of one topic people think "hmm hey i got an idea lets drop it in a sticky cos then it wont clutter general discussion and people wont think its spam!!" I noticed tip.it had a lot more rules etc when i was still actively posting but nowadays it has become much stricter on posting. The result of this is that a lot of good reads are overlooked, players that are newer, unknown or have low post count or skipped when looking for interesting reads.
  12. It depends how you define 'bigger'? Bigger population, yes definitely when i was here last there were nearly 20 - 30 less worlds and they were all MUCH less full then when i played. Bigger explorable map well yes as there are many more activities, land/sea masses. The Members quests have definitely expanded i can't say the same for F2p though lol. Bigger in gameplay - well this is where opinions come into play. But when you take into account all the skills + combat levels. The co-operative or PVP aspect of the game is VERY shallow, its very dependent on how many times Player A has clicked variables A - Z as opposed to Player B. In essence its just about how much you click and what you click. Other games require more thought and mathematical precision. This is lacking in Runescape, when i play other games i find this is the most shallow aspect of runescape. That too the PVE and PVP play does not have a wide community, hardcore gamers play WoW or GW mainly because of the mathematics, more thinking, timing, superior graphical combat and rewards from the gameplay. It is definitely graphically more pleasing to play a game like WoW or GW. However the disadvantage is that these require a client and cannot be played directly through a browser which is the convenience runescape offers. Before anyone flames me i do not play WoW for the record but glancing at graphics it is undoubtedly superior and therefore attracts a wealthier variety of gamers. Yes the community is getting bigger population wise but many would argue that it isn't necessarily getting better.
  13. Obviously those categories are necessary. But after a while it becomes an annoying part of tip it as you have to rummage through different sub-categories, stickies, barely gives you time to read posts and after a while the REALLY good reads or the really good events are missed out because no-one pays attention to some events or reads because they are in a sub category or sticky they find uninteresting.
  14. It is not hard to know where to post a topic. The titles of forums, sub-forums, and sticky could not be made more obvious. Posting in the correct spot helps keep the boards organized. They are a helpful tool. Want to see some in game pics? Look at the "pictures" sticky. Want to talk about general Runescape? Post it here. Etc. If I want help and advice, It is nice to have a specific place to go to for that. Take a look at all the recent topics that were moved. Most of the replies politely say "I think this belongs ______." I just don't see where you are coming from with your opinions..... Yes 3 - 10 sections are possible needed. But not endless threads and stickys to the point where no-one can be bothered to read what you put and your comments just become part of an endless sea. It's a game but we dont need to treat the forums like some kind of bureaucracy (dunno if i spelt right)
  15. Allow me to introduce myself. And no please dont move it to the introduce yourself sticky as this is what im gonna talk about. Im flameguy3 ingame and ive just come back to runescape after trying to recover my password a couple times over the past 2 days. Some of you may remember me as the person who did The Spartan Invasion. Others may remember me for just bein a great guy over all :D I used to love tip.it a community where everyone could just post topics not caring what others thought knowing that there would always be a good discussion. That has changed severely. This feels like we're all being holed up in boxes as if we do not post in the correct sticky, topic or thread we will be shot hung and quartered. Note: Sarcasm. It makes tip.it more like a giant machine rather than a community its become like some kind of dictatorship... And if this gets moved it just further proves my point. Im not in any way saying that Tip.it is bad, in fact its a good community but it was better back then, then it is now.
  16. All skillcapes are involved with constant clicking. constant clicking and repetitiveness is just a sign of no life... do you respect people with no life...? :wall: Runescape has changed a lot since ive been off these forums, hey to anyone who remembers me as this'll be my first post in a LONG time. and hey to you all lol.
  17. I haven't played runescape in a long time. But this seems like a really simple and easy idea to implement. I support.
  18. Now i haven't posted in a long time. But recently ive been really interested in martial arts from around the world and today i looked at the tip.it forums. And i remembered all the things i found wrong with RS and all of the things i found good about it. One of the things that frustrated me about RS was the fact that you could only do real damage to people when you were equipped with a good weapon and the fact there was no real use for the strength skill in RS. And now that pures are advancing they realise they dont need high strength levels and all it does is add unnecessary combat levels once you have a certain good strength level (for instance lvl 60/70 strength). You may feel differently but strength does make a big difference generally in our lives. I was tempted to put this into attack but that would just give attack a further incentive to be trained when it really does not need it. Although they say that martial arts teaches you how to use technique to overpower your opponent and not just brute force there is still an amount of strength needed for the formula to work. I propose that you should be able to use martial arts styles instead of your normal kicks and punches. To make a more interesting game and more diversity and character fighting styles, I will give you a short list of some martial arts I think should be included to choose from. If you have any more to add, please send me a imageshack uploaded link to the picture, a link to the wikipedia definition of the martial art and a brief overview about it which also includes where it originated from. Kalaripayattu ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ A martial art originating from South India. The above picture depicts a Kalaripayattu trainer practicing some techniques. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kalarippayattu Karate ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ A martial art originating from Japan. Most of you will have heard of it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karate Kung Fu/Black Tiger Kung Fu ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ A martial art originating from northern china. Most of you will have heard of this too. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Tiger_Kung_Fu I need to go for now, but I will post more pictures and specifications of how exactly this will work, if enough people post and give me support to go ahead and attempt to make pictures then I will but if I get a bad response then I probably wont try, IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m open to criticism btw but that doesnÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t mean I wont not argue my point. Thanks for looking again and have a nice day. :)
  19. I gave up on RS a bit to spend time with rl friends too but i come on these forums once every week or two to look at stuff. When i looked at general p2p and saw BiaBf saying he/she was leaving... (sorry in all the time ive been here i always knew who you were, respected you and so on but never knew whether you were he or she  ) I was surprised.... RS is losing all of its best players 1 by 1. Im sure if i look back here in a bit most of the forum moderators will have quit as well and big names in Tip.it (not naming them but you can guess) will quit soon as well. I thought to myself what would happen when i max out or get everything i wanted in RS and then i realised if i ever got all that i would realise how much its all actually worth. I was like :-s damn. Anyways have a good life and see you around man.
  20. Everything in RS is ugly, you seen the graphics man? rofl. Runescape is played for its gameplay not its graphics.
  21. Ever had a time when you want to play your music from Itunes/Media player etc. but the RS music is playing and when you turn the RS music off you find it a pain to swap between windows to the music player of your choice ? (yes i am extremely lazy) :) . I say there should be a built in RS music player (of course the memory used is stored on your own computer). There would be another tab on the music list saying 'custom'. Once you click on this tab you will be given the option to browse for music files to put in this folder and the options to play, pause, rewind, fast forward your selected music file. Lazy man's tool? Yep. Discuss. I'd put up pictures of my idea but i aint great in graphics anymore....
  22. It could be extremely helpful to some, but it is also a huge scamming opportunity and would cause problems for others. I dont support but it could be implemented in some other way.
  23. Erm okay. :? Why not just get on with your own life and live the torment of having a mini-map that faces slightly more north-west then its supposed to :o . No seriously man theres nothing wrong with that, Jagex's Game is brilliant the system works fine but the only problem with Jagex is its graphics ingame so thats the only complaints i have against RS to be honest with you.
  24. Armour: Heraldics/Trimmed Weapons: Anything i can kill stuff with.
