  1. Your original post is a question, which belongs in Help & Advice. ~Cdub
  2. GL with 91--but if used most effectively the abyss is ~22.5k xp/hour (same XP as I calced fires at.)
  3. Good luck, if you take it on in any way like me, you'll go insane quickly.
  4. Construction came out relatively recently, so a RSC-vet and a RS2-product have equal grounds to complain here (so long as you've been playing since its release.) But, when you first started there was no Construction skill, or anything like it. To get a decent level in Construction, you need to spend handfuls of GP. To answer your question, they've added this to allow the less-wealthy members of RS a chance to get a respectable Construction level.
  5. Lee has it right, RC is lame. Stick to getting that useless Lumberjack gear!
  6. I'm using the strongest person on the slowest route to get LumberJack. There are the most events in one shot, and I don't need to expend any food. This seems like the best way to go about getting LumberJack. Unless, do the level of course and your traveler affect your chances of getting LumberJack? What are other people using that's been working for them?
  7. For FF open up Windows Task Manager, go to processes, and end firefox[Caution: ExecutableFile] Don't get discouraged, just take a break every hour or so to browse for 10 minutes.
  8. Is there a pure theme this week? GlÃÆÃâÃâückwÃÆÃâÃâünsche noobshlagen
  9. if there is blood runecraft, there will be fast free bloods... like the double nats now... but i would say soul should be the one come first, as it got less crash to the runes market... The current sellers' price for bloods is ~500 GP each. Nats are ~315 GP. If Blood Crafting's released I can see Bloods dropping to 400 GP as a sellers' price. With everyone between 77-91 RC making Bloods (which, if they are 10.5 XP, would make using FFL plain stupid) there will be a lot more Nature Runes entering the market. I can see Blood Rune prices taking a hit, and Natures going to up 350--might just stock up on a few hundred thousand nats.
  10. Your intentions may be well meant but there's too much room for scamming to allow this thread to go on longer. This is very noble of you all, and what you have accomplished is indeed admirable--however I'm sure the last thing you would like to see is another scammer profit off of your good deeds. Strictly speaking the thread is spam, and violates our rule regarding requesting donations. What you're doing in game is perfectly legal, however if you wish to carry on with this, you shall do so off these forums. Good luck to all the collectors and good luck to Metal bouncing back. ~Cdub
  11. Amazing blog, beautifully written. GL
  12. My taskbar's bigger, in that all of the icons look like they're on a lower resolution. There's a thin blue bar above and below the taskbar, and the clock now displays the day under the time. I didn't change the resolution on my computer, and couldn't find any way to fix this in the taskbar menu. Help please :)
  13. We oughta do a DK trip for old time's sake. How long has it been?
  14. Moving to H&A. (Magic, you have two identical goal-bars in your signature.) ~Cdub
  15. Perhaps you should PM your clanleader. ~Cdub
  16. Post in said topic or a tech help forum. ~Cdub
  17. Yeah that's the phrase lol, I think I might have a little picture of it. Nice to see a familiar face years later. :D
  18. Cool, close to 99 Hunter. I think I remember you from RSC, I saw you mining. You were going on about something about your mine. :uhh: With RC, FFL is about 30k-40k XP an hour, and after I averaged about 55k XP per hour hiring nature runners.
  19. There are a few fundamental differences between the Fire Cape and Skill Capes. Firstly, the Fire Cape is obtained by completing what is most likely the most rigorous test of Combat Skill in RuneScape. It's a two-hour trial of focus and endurance. But in the end, that's all it is. Two hours of semi-difficult combat. At level-102 it took me 2 tries to get it, so between buying supplies and going through the waves I probably spent about 5 hours on it. Personally, I wouldn't call it a challenge. I know it's hard for many, but it comes down to memorizing two motions and switching prayer accordingly. I'd get it again the first time with a blindfold and without my left hand. But still, you can't completely discredit it. For completing the ultimate combat challenge, you've been rewarded with the ultimate combat cape. But this isn't to say it is more respectable than capes of achievement. The easiest of the skills takes weeks, that's the easiest. I'm 406K from the RC Cape, and there's no way in hell I'd take my Fire Cape over it. All in all, the RC Cape takes near 1,000 hours of RC. But hey, that's sort of extreme. Let's take 1/10th of that, 100 hours. There aren't too many skills you can get 99 in 100 hours, so humor me. 100 hours is 50 tries, count in buying supplies (keep in mind I assumed the skill was paid for as well) and you have 40-50 tries. Now, tell me getting a Fire Cape in 50 tries takes more "talent" than getting a skill cape takes devotion? It doesn't, and you can't.
