  1. The guide really makes very little sense. Under the bank the idea is to get to the south-western ladders, not north-eastern. There are two I believe. You can access the southern one by going under through the sub-level. You can run through the thieving dungeon to get directly to the north one. The north ladder leads you to an area west of the sub-level with water, you should know what to do from there. In the guy's defense the entire thing is sort of difficult to describe--just explore.
  2. First off, saying RC-Pkers help the rune-market by killing RCers is like saying randoms help the Rune Axe market by killing autoers. It's just such an insignificant factor in the grand scheme of things. From what I see, RC-Pkers (my level in the least) kill for the fun. If someone in the 115-121 combat range is making money by killing RCers that's just depressing. Hell, they can have my glory--they need it more than I do. But, if someone is killing RCers (possibly costing them dozens of minutes in getting back pouches) for kicks, you can't argue that doesn't speak very well of their character. Would a professional wrestler brag about mugging a 5th-grader for his lunch money? No. But you're right, that is a stretch. Comparing a RC-PKer to anything professional is a stretch. When I abyss RC, I expect to be attacked going into the wild. I don't care if I lose a glory. Half the time I'll get away, come back, and make a Mystic or Ahrim set off the deal. Never have I met a RC-PKer that can stack up to a real PKer. Total level doesn't matter in the wild, a pretty stat page will do you know good at Edgeville. I just wonder how the poor guys feel getting killed by someone with 400 more total-levels than them. So go ahead, RC-PK. Do it for the thrill, do it for the free 150k an hour. I don't care, after all it is the wilderness, they have every right to PK there. But, don't expect me not to hate you, don't expect to get any respect from anyone (PKer or skiller alike), and don't expect to live when I get back to Edgeville.
  3. You can't ask for donations, and you posted this in another board. ~Cdub
  4. I'm about 1 round from the Fighter Torso (+4 Str) and I'll get it tomorrow. The whole armour with str-bonus thing is cool, but the defense is awful.
  5. You don't have room to talk. especially when you don't know odd. Usually you give back items if you see the person die? Drop it, the both of you. If you have a problem with Odd, PM him. All of your claims are spam B_50_2, and they flame the man on his own thread at that. Of course you are entitled to your own opinion of Odd. You don't have to like him, but you can't post about your dislike. While Odd may be grateful for your defense, St_Anger, you are nonetheless encouraging spam and spamming yourself (as well-intentioned as you may have been.) I am sure Odd would be much more appreciative of both of you if you stopped bickering.
  6. Good luck, hopefully will see you at CW some more. ... Bring your maul. :-w
  7. Now that I'm not poor I can attend some trips, going to buy Guthan's. Just like the good ol' times at kings, Lee--but remember how to open the doors this time around.
  8. I'm still away from home--just popping in using the hotel's Wifi. And nats to 99? Jeez. I'm going to solo until 95, good luck to ya.

  10. That's unhealthy. Not in the tradition sense of that word--biologically speaking it's incredible he didn't die of exhaustion. Without sleep for about 104 hours you need to be in excellent condition to maintain homeostasis. It is likely that if someone plays for 72 hours they naturally wouldn't be as concerned with their physical condition: at least not to the extent to survive 100+ sleepless hours. I'm not trying to be belittling right now. I respect everyones' lifestyle choices as his or her own. Honestly I am just concerned for the guy's health. I think it is good to have RS as a competitive stimulant, it can actually be beneficial to one's academic and logistic skills. However, I don't think 72 hours can be appropriated by any goal, whatsoever.
  11. I don't make money for the purpose of making money. I RC often, and the natures add up quickly. I'm not interested in buying anything right now, so I am putting my money into small rares in a sort of skill-fund after 99 RC. :)

  13. A great deal of the terms being thrown around today are just infantile. I don't use the words PC-product or RS2-product--they're honestly somewhat meaningless to me. Pest Control gave players a quick (albeit boring) device to level combat skills. It may be unfair to those who leveled combat before hand, and many people, including myself, agree it is. But still, intentionally belittling someone because they chose to use the most effective means of gaining combat levels is not only immature, but idiotic. Once again not to play anyone down, but having a high combat level has lost its luster. Attack, defense, and strength have joined the list of skills I am less than impressed to see a 99 in. If you want recognition, level a skill that you believe to be challenging. You can't impress everyone all of the time--so why not just compete against yourself. Go out and get some of the challenging 99's, or those you enjoy. If you maxed out combat before PC, I'm sorry. If you didn't, but you have been playing that long, I would think none the less of you if you chose to do so. But, no matter what you decide, don't patronize those who elect to take advantage of new features.

  15. Lee, I've got a great idea... Come RC those Santas with me!
  16. Yeah, I see quite a few RC-Pkers when I RC. Luckily I don't have too deal with too many at 119 combat. I saw you RCing in World 99, and thought to myself I'd never have gotten into RCing if I had to deal with all those guys. My philosophy has always been if they're going to spend hours making a few 100k, then they need the glory more than I do. :)
  17. 2 hours is nothing to me. The ones that surprise me (and scare my bladder) are the ones that can go 6+ hours. Maybe they run fast and hope for the best while they are gone. If not, then I guess they have bladders made of steel. One of the top hunters reportedly played and or stayed awake 60 hours straight once hunting was released. I think its safe to assume that some of the other top hunters did this as well as their xp was very close within the first week. Oh and P.S I know where Nazgul trains  Playing for 60 hours straight would almost certainly cause you to die of exhaustion. Remember to discuss the achievement, not the player(s).
  18. Your calculations are a bit oversimplified Uular. Swamp showed the economic impact of FFL vs. Abyss well, and I'm sure many a RCer has gone through those same calculations. Starting from 75, I RC'd enough nats to buy 340k Pure Essence for FFL (which brought me from 75-83). After there, I was financially compensated for using FFL. All this RC'ing after 91 for me is just gravy.
