I've got 3.5 black marks, none of which are really deserved. One was me saying "selling a nonexistent account" which, come on. I admit, it was a bit dumb, but the word "inonexistent" should have tipped them off. One was for Rune 1, foul language, which honestly was a misspelling and I told Jagex that. Like they listened. But the rest of the conversaton was quite idiotic. Oops. Those were my slightly immature days. One was for Rune 9 - encouraging others to break rules. Pardon my French, but.... what the booping boop?! I was telling a guy about the dangers of macroers, not to go use them!

At 55 ranged, what should I be training on?
nerdattack16 replied to Meltdown's topic in Help and Advice
Well, I trained range at minotaurs from 50-60. I got a boatload of iron arrows from them, too. You could also try lesser demons, hill giants, or moss giants. I killed lessers pretty easily at 57-60 range. -
Training magic. Low level'd (11, actually)
nerdattack16 replied to Branchedout's topic in Help and Advice
Ah, you're talking about cursing. Well, here you go. Whenever you cast a magic spell, even if you fail it, you still always get the base amount of experience. If you cast a whole bunch of curse spells, even if you fail all of them, you'll still get the full experience from each spell. What you need to do is to get your magic bonus as low as possible. Full metal armor - that's a full helm, platebody, platelegs, and kiteshield, any metal will do - the stronghold of Security boots, vambraces, preferably d'hide, an amulet that doesn't boost magic (strength or defense) or no amulet, and an earth/water staff. If you got an earth staff, get a bunch of waters; if you got a water staff, get earths. You'll also need body runes. Each curse requires 2 body runes, and 3 earth + water runes. I suggest casting your curses on the caged Monk of Zamorak under the main stairs in Varrock Castle. He has a high magic defense, and even if you do land a curse on him, he'll recover from it very quickly. It's one of the cheapest ways to level magic, but you'll have to do around 5,600 curses. Yikes! If you're still a member when you hit 45 magic, then I suggest teleporting to Camelot over and over again. The downside is that laws are 300 each or more, but it'll be a lot quicker than cursing. You'd need around 1,900 Camelot teleports to go from 45 to 55, around 600-700K. If you're willing to spend that, then go ahead. If not, continue cursing. Another alternative is to use Pest Control and spend your points on Magic. If you can play Pest Control efficiently, then this would be a practically free way to go. You don't even have to mage at PC, although it would help increase the experience flow. Hope this helps at all. -
Yeah, gotta find the snail with the pointed blue shell, and use a chisel on the shell once you've killed it.

Well, I also don't do a whole lot of skilling. I actually don't have any mining/smithing supplies in my bank, since I hate doing that. If I ever need to, I'll buy another pick. I also cut and sell/make jewelry out of any gems I find. I never leave raw food in my bank. I only keep the things I use, and the stuff that means a lot to me. These 1100+ hammers are technically a waste of space... not! :XD:

They got number 1, so... The gloves are from the quest Recipe for Disaster. It has 8 sub-quests and a final boss fight, and each sub-quest unlocks a different level of glove, from leather, to bronze, all the way to dragon. You can buy the Barrows gloves after beating all 8 sub-quests and the final boss battle.

Since when are laws 1k each? I can easily get them for under 500 each in a busy world. And I'm F2P. But yeah, buying gold is stupid. They paid the price for laziness and greed.

I like it. I think I know of someone else that might reeeally like it too... *cough* spoofer *cough*.

Around 1340K cash, plus a few thousand runes worth 10-20 each, plus the high-end runes, some food... eh, I'd be lucky if I got to 2000K. Woot, I'm poor. But the camo, lederhosen, and mime sets, and my 1,000+ hammers are priceless. :P

which is better obby shield or rune defender
nerdattack16 replied to skylor2121's topic in Help and Advice
Obsidian shield: Better defense bonuses, nice strength bonus, no attack bonuses. Rune defender: Fair defense, nice strength bonus, nice attack bonuses. Obsidian shield: 300K, quick to obtain. Rune defender: free, takes awhile to obtain. Take your pick. -
Tiaras are fast, or you could camp at the crafting guild. Get lots of thread, a needle, brown apron, and some GP. Kill cows, collect hides, tan and make bodies, and either drop them or sell in Rimmington. Dropping's faster, but you make a bit of money through selling them. But you only lose 4 GP a body anyway, not a big deal.

What skills&quests are needed to get Ring of Visibilty?
nerdattack16 replied to Roberthree's topic in Help and Advice
I think you need all the requirements for starting the quest, and you need to give back the gilded cross to Rasolo. Then he'll give you the Ring of Visibility. Looks like you don't even have to fight any bosses. :) Just follow the quest guide up to where you get the ring, I guess. -
Level 60 Magic, actually - combat level doesn't matter. 37 Prayer is recommended for Protect from Magic.

How do u make those link things that ar like inside a quote?
nerdattack16 replied to hackedpunk's topic in Help and Advice
[hide=Guess what?]Norton3000 is right. Use his code. :) [/hide] -
Yeah. That'd be at least 8 spaces empty, plus I could keep my frog outfit. Now that I threw away stuff I really wasn't going to use, I have at least 4-6 spaces empty, probably more.

You know, some people say it helps, some say it hurts. I don't think anyone really knows the answer.

You'd have to join a high level PC clan to get the best worlds. Most are generally level 90+. Or, world 78 is the official-unofficial PC world. And you can find PC worlds on some IRC chats, not sure of the specifics about that though.

Dragon longsword: 60 Attack, completion of Lost City. Dragon scimitar: 60 Attack, completion of Monkey Madness. Abyssal whip: 70 Attack. Oh, and you need membership. :P

There's a guide in the Archive of Wisdom that tells you how to do it with low defence. It's written my Muggiwhplar. Pures have beaten the Fight Caves before.

Jagex has confirmed that it doesn't work on Barrows. Which is kind of lame... I mean, they are undead...
-
Overall, it would be a good investment. Rares are kinda blah now, but sooner or later they'll go up again. But I'm not a master, either, so I could be a bit off. But it seems like common sense to me.
-
80 would be the preferred stat, while 70 is the minimum. Obviously, you'd need 70 attack to wield the thing. :P

...Spam FTW? :P

Fire Cape on 1st try.
nerdattack16 replied to lordfan21's topic in Achievements (Drops, Bank Pictures and Levels)
Bah, the fake-cryers. You know, this "haxx" is just stupid enough, just insane enough, and glitchy enough for me to believe this happened. A fake would be like... well, it'd either be way TOO ridiculous, or not ridiculous enough. I wonder how though. Maybe you got in a last shot the instant before you died? Those are some crazy odds. And where are my kebabs, Zoidnerd? :P
